I had to visit this location multiple times over a 2 year period. They had to refer me to the ER on…read moremore than one occasion, but I was always met with kindness and understanding from the admin staff, as well as the medical staff. I would definitely recommend this location if you need an urgent care you can trust.

I have experienced poor customer service before, but my encounter with Samantha at this urgent care…read morewas one of the most appalling and unprofessional experiences I have ever had. Her behavior was rude, hostile, dismissive, and completely unacceptable, especially in a healthcare setting where patients are coming in because they need medical attention. I arrived approximately 30 minutes before closing, and from the moment I walked through the door, Samantha looked visibly disgusted by my presence. She did not greet me, acknowledge me, or extend even the most basic courtesy. The other front desk employee, who was apparently being trained by Samantha, actually greeted me. How ironic that the person responsible for training another employee was the one demonstrating such an embarrassing lack of professionalism. Samantha appeared irritated from the beginning, seemingly because I chose not to register through the text message option. Apparently, a patient exercising their choice about how to complete registration is an inconvenience to her. She sighed dramatically and informed me that I would have to complete paperwork because I had not checked the box to register by text. Her tone was unnecessarily rude and condescending. If I wanted to register by text, I would have selected that option. I should not be made to feel like a burden simply because an employee has to perform the responsibilities of her job. The situation only deteriorated from there. Samantha asked for my insurance card and initially claimed my insurance was not in the system. I explained that it was, and after continuing to click through the system, she eventually located it. Throughout this interaction, I was simply asking whether there was another way to retrieve my insurance information because I did not have the physical card with me and had never previously been required to present it. Instead of offering assistance with a professional attitude, she continued behaving as though helping me was an unbearable inconvenience. Her attitude was so noticeably unpleasant that I finally asked, "Are you okay?" Rather than responding professionally, Samantha raised her voice and snapped, "You're the one with the attitude. You got an attitude with me first!" I was absolutely stunned. The response was so childish and immature that it sounded like something one would expect from an argument between elementary school students, not from an adult working at the front desk of a medical facility. I explained that I did not have an attitude, but even if she perceived my tone that way, I was the patient, and her behavior was still completely inappropriate. I informed her that she was being unprofessional and needed to improve her customer service skills. Her response? "You too." Seriously? This is the level of professionalism this urgent care allows at its front desk? When I asked to speak with her manager, she repeatedly told me, "You can file a complaint." That was not what I asked. I asked where her manager was. After having to repeat myself, she finally yelled, "She's not here!" When I asked for the manager's name, Samantha rolled her neck and responded, "Laquisha," with an attitude that gave me the impression she could not care less whether I reported her behavior. Throughout this exchange, she repeatedly stated, "You have a $35 copay. Insert or swipe," as though she could simply dismiss me rather than address her conduct. She was also shaking her head and vigorously shaking her legs while I was standing at the counter. Her entire demeanor communicated irritation, hostility, and an astonishing lack of self-control. What happened next was even more disrespectful. I asked Samantha whether she needed anything else from me to complete my check-in. SHE DELIBERATELY IGNORED ME! I was standing directly in front of her. I asked a second time, and she continued to ignore me. Imagine being a patient seeking medical care and having the front desk employee refuse to acknowledge a basic question because she is apparently upset that you challenged her unprofessional behavior. I eventually had to turn to the employee Samantha was training and ask whether anything else was needed because Samantha was refusing to respond. The other employee politely indicated that she did not think anything else was required. What makes this entire experience even more disturbing is that Samantha behaved this way in front of other patients and an employee she was responsible for training. If this is the example she sets for new employees, I seriously question the customer service standards, employee training, and accountability at this facility. Patients do not come to urgent care for entertainment. They come because they are sick, injured, uncomfortable, or in need of medical attention. The last thing anyone should have to deal with is a front desk employee who appears annoyed by their arrival, becomes argumentative over routine registration procedures, raises her voice, responds....... cont'd

Dr.Rollins and his staff are super duper nice and a pleasure to visit. For a few months up to my…read morevisit I was feeling super bummed out and tired all the time. My previous doc thought it was depression or thyroid issues but Dr.Rollins didn't take their word for it and ran blood work and figured out I was "severely deficient" in vitamin D. Which is weird bc I spend a lot of time outdoors. He hand wrote me a letter that I got in the mail two weeks after my appointment explaining it and telling me how much vit D to take and for how long and why. After a few weeks, I now feel back to my ole self and not tired anymore. I'm supposed to go back in three months for him to double check to see if I'm up to normal again and fig out why I was so deficient. Also, I explained in my first appt that I once went to a derm that never sent me my results no matter how many times I asked them to mail, email, or fax them to me. The next time I saw Dr. Rollins, he walked in with not just my file from that derm, but also their own derm who explained and interpreted my lab results from the other derm I went to a year ago and no they didn't charge me for it. Love this place.

My wife scheduled what was supposed to be her annual physical at this practice. She had been a…read morepatient here for years under Dr. K, who has since retired. During the appointment, the new physician asked questions about her existing medical history, including cholesterol and other previously diagnosed conditions. My wife answered those questions but did not seek treatment for any new issues. The physician ordered routine blood work, including tests that she has received as part of her annual physical for several years. We were surprised to later receive a bill for a separate office visit. We were told that because pre-existing conditions were discussed during the appointment, the visit was billed separately. We also received a separate bill from the lab for the blood work. What makes this particularly frustrating is that my wife has had these same routine tests performed during her annual physicals for the past four years at this practice without receiving an additional office visit charge or lab charge. Patients should be aware that discussing existing medical conditions during an annual physical at Northside Primary Care Midtown (previously Midtown Medical Associates), even when responding to questions from the physician, will result in additional charges. Basic tests such as cholesterol, lipid profile etc. is not covered under the annual physical with this practice anymore. We wish this had been explained clearly before or during the appointment so we could have made an informed decision. We are disappointed and concerned about the transparency of the billing process. We will look for another doctor.

OK...so I went to the OB/GYN the other day…read more... Well, maybe not. However, my wife did so this isn't the strangest review...or is it? Anyway, she raved and raved about Dr. Kleiss like I would rave about a pie from Lombardis. Professional, very friendly, personable, comfortable, informative, and all those other things. She did all the woman things perfectly, better than anyone ever in history. Got it? Good. So there you have it. She gets top dog rating and every woman should use Dr. Kleiss from this day forward! Update: I got to meet Dr. Kleiss recently and I have to say she is great. Relaxing and down to earth demeanor which settles you down about big things (like up and coming babies).

Dr. Kleiss is a fantastic doctor and surgeon. She gets four stars for that alone. I got pregnant…read morethe month after she operated to remove a uterine polyp that was probably preventing pregnancy. And, though I wasn't thrilled to need a C-section, I was thrilled to have Dr. Kleiss doing it - my scar is practically invisible and I had a smooth recovery. But over the 7+ years I have been seeing her, it became clear that this practice probably isn't the best fit for me. Dr. Kleiss is very cool, relaxed, and friendly, and her general MO is to very confidently convey that everything is fine. This probably puts most people at ease, but for me--and I know I have anxiety issues--it does the opposite. I like data, and (what I perceive) as overconfidence makes me nervous, which causes me to ask more questions to verify. Which causes the provider to become irritated with me and probably write "difficult" in my chart a la Seinfeld https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pyossoHFDJg. A lot of times, she was right and there was nothing to worry about. But sometimes my concerns were right... she was confident that I didn't have any fertility issues, but when I pushed for testing we found a polyp ... she played down my feeling that the baby was breech, but I was right and we found out too late to turn the baby. Basically, it just became a cycle where I never trusted her assurances and she was automatically skeptical of any concern I raised. (Full disclosure, there was also an incident where I was left in a waiting room alone with no windows for over an hour and got pretty upset - the sad kind, not the angry kind... not real proud of that one, but I was going to be late for something important... after that incident I always brought my computer and expected to be there at least 2.5 hours) At some point, things turned and I just never felt comfortable there anymore. I felt like I had a not-entirely-deserved reputation that I could never overcome. But I can't complain - I have a healthy baby and my torso isn't completely wrecked yet. And now I have switched to an OB practice I feel much more comfortable with (hopefully they don't request my records and suddenly turn cold!)
