I followed all instructions diligently--but sadly, I believe the bone graft procedure was a very bad choice for me. I felt pressured and did not have enough information about the situation and was forced to make the decision on the spot without knowing the chances of it actually achieving desired results. Since then, I've been having pain in the surrounding teeth (which I did not have before the extraction). When I returned for my visit to find out if I was eligible for an implant after my bone graft, the dentist told me I was not eligible for an implant. She had nothing to say about the chronic pain I've been experiencing and told me to go back to the regular dentist. I was not offered a refund or even a partial refund for the unsuccessful bone graft which the dentist suggested. It was a waste of money, recovery time and months and months of chronic, unexplained pain at the site. I regret being talked into the procedure as I gained nothing from it. I do not recommend this practice. This was not my first oral surgery and I regret spending my money at this dishonest business. Also/-the office staff is nice but the entire office smelled very badly of fish today, making my visit especially unpleasant.

Dr. Ablow and her team are amazing and took great care of my dental needs throughout the procedure. I ended up with dry socket on one of the extraction sites, and had an infection. I don't understand how an appointment can be canceled without notifying the patient. I have never missed an appointment, so I find this extremely frustrating and disrespectful. The way this was handled was very rude, and I never even received an apology. I expected much better communication and professionalism.

The turning point was the latter part of 2009. I lost one tooth, wanted an implant. He and his hygienist talked me into a bridge. In good faith I trusted their judgement. After the bridge, the two next teeth became pushed over. The first front tooth crossed the other front tooth. Initially the bridge seemed good. It knew it was tight so I knew I was right when the teeth got pushed over. He did nothing about it, defended himself and said he had to fill the space. In may 2024 the first tooth fell out, my front tooth became straight again. On May 21st I went to his office, he took xrays, he knew I would now lose the front tooth, wanted to do a second bridge, with not adjustments to the failed bridge he made. I said absolutely not. He purportedly referred me to an implant dentist also in Milford and told me he would call when he heard from the other dentist. Two weeks after my visit I called to simply inquire if he heard from the dentist he said he sent my xrays to on May 21st, he and his receptionist were agitated that I called, and I got a response of I told you I you I would call you when I heard from him. Fortunately I found a wonderful periodontist through my family members.

My dentist recommended me to see Dr. Amato due…read moreto I have some weird periodontal issue.( a small hole appeared above my gum line, and started foam white discharge) Went to see the doc on 06/17, Dr. Amato decided we should have a small surgery. I had surgery on that day, and told to come back next week to check on the healing. 06/24 was told everything look fine, come back in 3 weeks. However, I pointed out, my gum line is uneven. Doc and nurse said need to wait at least 3-4 weeks before they can do anything. They assure me it will look even. 07/18 Dr. Amato decided to laser the gum line a little bit, so they will look even, it was about 2mm difference at that time. If I smile, you can definitely tell the difference. It was a very quick procedure. During the procedure, Dr. Amato checked with his nurse , he said " do you think I should do a little more? ", He also asked me that question. I was pretty confused , I am not professional. I left office , I sat in my car, I looked into my mirror, I was like, maybe he should laser a little bit more. I went back in the office, spoke to his nurse, I said since I am still numb, do you think we could laser a little bit more. She told me, it was not necessary, if it is still uneven, they will fix it next time. don't worry about it. Today, 08/12, another 3 weeks went by, my gum line is still uneven. Dr. Amato told me, first, he does not have time to fix my gum line, second , if I do want my gum line fixed, I need to pay $1000+ to fix it. Yes, I had small teeth before , now I have bigger teeth and uneven gum line, so if you are looking for a periodontics, would you go with this office?

After the bridge was put in my mouth it was tight and at first it seemed okay but then after that the first two teeth in front of the bridge went sideways. One of the teeth was a front tooth. This year in May 2024 the first tooth fell out on its own. When that tooth fell out, the front tooth moved back to where it should be. This is how I moved on and was fortunate to find this dentist through my family. He and his staff have been phenomenal in every way possible. I got my implant on 9/10/2024, and I am now on my way. For example, I got a retainer with teeth to use while I heal. One of the teeth fell out while i was sanitizing it last night. I called this office this morning, no problem, had me come in, replaced it with no drama. Looking back I wish I could have found this practice sooner but of course we can only move forward.
