He was still heavily medicated and tripped and stumbled his way out. I had to find a wheel chair on my own from the Yale office to get my sedated child safely to the car. Against my better judgement we took our youngest there too. I fully recognize that even using best practices there can be unwanted outcomes. When I expressed my concerns first to the nurse than the doctor that my child was reporting pain and was pounding on the arm rest to get them to stop or to acknowledge them and he was shushed and told to stop moving. Certainly there are limits to medication dosages and sometimes pain can happen. That is not the problem. Its the hubris and arrogance coupled with the gaslighting from staff. The reluctance to admit a complications. That is the problem. The doctor was better about it and had a reasonable explanation for every concern though was not apologetic/sympathetic that there were compications. The nurse was the real offender. Starting by saying my child was just being emotional. Minimizing this child's concerns and acting almost put out by my asking questions respectfully. Coastal has a nursing problem. Find another practice..

I had two dental implants placed last August, but they fell out within days. I reached out to the office immediately, only to be informed that the doctor was on vacation in Italy and that I would have to wait until his return. When I requested to see another doctor, I was told I would have to wait two weeks for the original doctor to come back. Despite making several requests to be seen sooner, I was repeatedly told that I had to wait. During this two-week period, I suffered without care, and it felt like my well-being didn't matter to them. I endured over two weeks of discomfort, including bleeding and aching gums. I felt pressured and did not have enough information about the situation and was forced to make the decision on the spot without knowing the chances of it actually achieving desired results. When I returned for my visit to find out if I was eligible for an implant after my bone graft, the dentist told me I was not eligible for an implant. She had nothing to say about the chronic pain I've been experiencing and told me to go back to the regular dentist. I was not offered a refund or even a partial refund for the unsuccessful bone graft which the dentist suggested. It was a waste of money, recovery time and months and months of chronic, unexplained pain at the site. I regret being talked into the procedure as I gained nothing from it. I do not recommend this practice. This was not my first oral surgery and I regret spending my money at this dishonest business. Also/-the office staff is nice but the entire office smelled very badly of fish today, making my visit especially unpleasant.
