The 'open gym' on Friday nights is an absolute madhouse that brings out the worst kids/teens the area has to offer. There is zero security or supervision, the pre teens are foul mouthed and rude, and no-one does anything about unruly guests (drunk (drugged?) guy in the lobby for 2 hours swearing, harassing people, talking REALLY inappropriately to kids around him) and was only asked to leave right before close. If you bring your kids to open gym, I would stay with them, but fully expect they're going to bring home a few choice phrases like mine did. Thanks drunk guy. I imagine the bulk of the attention they give anyone here are the girls/parents that pay for gymnastics classes, which makes sense, and that the other 'activities' they offer are simply money grabs.

My daughter loves it here for the bday parties because she says "You can do whatever you want. I've also noticed men's Olympic stuff towards the back. My daughter said the men's stuff is fun and cool, but she prefers the woman's more, as what I know of. There's also a swinging rope. All the kids wait in a line to swing back and forth of a rope attached to the ceiling. It's safe, because it's attached to a ton of stuff to hold it. I even tried it! It was pretty fun!! On the spring mat, it's a different story! A TON of stuff to do! Of course, you can just do the basic gymnastic stuff. But there is also stuff you can sit in and be rolled around in! Also, they do airsoft every 2nd and 4th sunday of the month starting at 9am ending at 5pm. All day admission is 15$ before 11am and after that it's 25$. Definitely worth it to get 3 refs out there and have all kinds of fun games like hostage, capture the crate, and huge team deathmatch games.

After purchasing these certificates and trying to use them for my son on his birthday I was told that they would only be honored for partial value because they appeared to the owner that they looked like fakes. After telling the staff that I would not be paying for more than I had already purchased they put me on the phone with the owner. The owner spent 15 minutes on the phone harassing me telling me that these certificates did not come from him and telling me they were fakes. Eventually he gave in and honored the full value but not with out threatening me that he was going to do a full investigation as to where these certificates came from.

Suggestions: Place could be a lot cleaner, get new exercise equipment including the curtains in the women's room and give your staff some good customer service tips. Also we sure hope they get to the bottom of their money concerns. We do not join a club to hear that the CEO is crooked.

The answer... nothing, the same things we always had, it just costs way more a month. In recent years, they've added a few more machines in the fitness center, but they are machines no one asked for, and you find almost no one using them. Just a waste of space, when they could actually invest in high-quality equipment that people will actually use. Along with this point, if a fitness machine is broken, it will take weeks, minimum, but most likely months to fix, which is just ridiculous. Besides the fitness center, if you want to go down to the gym, play basketball, play catch, etc. YOU CAN'T EVEN DO THAT, because they ALWAYS have events reserved for the gyms, so you can never actually use the gym for what it's intended for. The events they host after 4 pm on weekdays are just ridiculous. It's a class where only like max three people show up, or they put a volleyball net up in the middle of the gym, and no one even uses it, but if you want to use that gym for something else, you can't because it's reserved. Like, if you are going to sharply increase your monthly prices, at least improve the service. This place has become a ripoff in recent years; if they actually had good competition in this area, I bet a lot of people would leave.

With that being said, I've been a member of a few other fitness and athletic clubs. Is it fair to compare this to those clubs? It really so compared to other Y this is a nice one and completely different from the Y in Waukesha. The track is twice the size as the track in Waukesha which means 9 laps for a mile. The cardio center is twice the size also. The weight training area is large and really never crowded. I came in mid-day and it was pretty busy. The aquatic center is the crown jewel for the area Y's and is just like the pool area in Oconomowoc. It has a small water park area for the kids. Kettle balls, steps, bands, free weights, four racks for squats, plenty of free weights and benches, dumb bells, locker rooms, trainers , classes and many other health benefits. Compared to Anytime Fitness , yes it is more expensive but if you utilize this for a family then you can't beat the price. The sports is good for younger kids and as an intro. The staff is friendly and helpful and all very nice. It isn't open 24 hours but I don't need that. I'm just looking for a place to work out and provide all the various tools to do so. The only negative from what I was told by another member is the lack of parking.
