I booked a massage and facial for a dear friend who had been going through a rough patch. We arrived at the spa (inside a beautiful home) and were greeted by Linda. The artwork is amazing! Inside the relaxing waiting area where we were served a delicious lunch (made personally by Linda), the ambiance and decor were the perfect precursor to the spa treatments. The personal touches Linda did for my friend were greatly appreciated and made her feel special. When Linda came to bring my friend to the massage room for her facial and massage, I looked through the scrapbook that detailed Linda's interesting life as a masseuse to the stars during her many years in the movie industry. She is also an author, and very interesting to converse with. A very gracious lady, indeed. I also went out into the living area to enjoy the artwork, which is diverse and beautiful. When my friend came out she was a limp noodle! "Massage drunk," is how she put it. She couldn't thank me enough for the experience. would absolutely recommend! Linda creates an amazing, relaxing experience from start to finish. She starts you out with a homemade lunch (mine was delicious!) and then begins a head to toe massage. the facial was my favorite part. it was so relaxing and left my skin so soft. she uses hot towels which also feel amazing. the body massage was extremely relaxing, and you can choose wether you'd like light, medium, or deep tissue. the hot stones were definitely a highlight as well as the seaweed wrap. all of this is a $135 package (very reasonable!!) the environment she creates is perfect, such a relaxing ambiance. She also doesn't talk during the actual massage so you can completely wind down. I will definitely be returning to Mrs Linda's spa. this would also make a great gift for a loved one! she can accommodate groups up to 4, and there are some lovely waiting areas to hang out and relax. And to top it all off, Mrs Linda is very friendly and personable, you can really relax in her presence. read more

I was in Point Clear, Alabama for a week long business trip. Since all of my meetings ended at noon on Friday, another colleague and I decided to take advantage of the free time by hitting a local spa. We both loved Linda and her approach. A couple of thoughts: --If you are from out of town, check the directions. It was not "in town" like we originally thought but about a 15 minute drive from the Grand Hotel. It wasn't a deal-kilker for us since we had rented a car. --Linda has the spa space in her house. Do not be alarmed. The designated space is soooooo elegant and comfortable. It is only Linda doing the treatments so if you have two or more, the extra people will be chilling in this relaxing space. Unbelievably, a nice lunch is provided with the price. Wish I took a photo of it because there was a lot of tasty food on the plate. --I have gotten a lot of massages and a fair amount of facials in my life and I can seriously say that I have never had a treatment like Linda's. It is a combination of massage, facial, hot towels, cupping, back scrub and more). It was unique and heavenly. The icing on the cake? Linda is so personable. She obviously has had a very interesting life and is fascinating to talk with. I highly recommend visiting her if you are in the area! read more

I can't recommend Linda and the Dellatorre Day Spa enough!! From the beautiful art, to the superb spread of deliciously prepared food, to the eclectically assembled quiet room, the lead-up to the spa session goes unmatched. The spa session itself was a remarkable combination of techniques infusing massage, body treatments and various practices that awakened my senses. I left my session feeling more relaxed than any traditional massage I've ever experienced. Talking to and getting to know our therapist and host Linda was a bonus! What a spectacular woman! What an exceptional experience! I will be returning again and again. I have had massages in different cities, resorts, day spas, etc. and none have ever provided such an ultra-sensory experience. With most massages you know what is coming next, but not here. I knew something good was coming each step of the way, and was not disappointed. I have never been so 'affected' by a massage. Had a WONDERFUL visit with Linda of Delatorre Day Spa and she treated me like a queen. I was greeted with a welcoming smile and led back to my private room where there was sparkling water and a delicious breakfast fruit parfait waiting for me. Mmmm! There was a selection of robes in the spacious room that included a sink and vanity, toilet, shower, and all the amenities you would want like brush, shampoo, deoderant hairdryer, etc. She even had this lovely crystal dish for me to put my rings and jewelry on and it had a "Welcome Marley" card on it. Nice touch. I chose the $85 special package which included a little bit over an hour of a facial, massage, hot stone therapy, a back wrap, foot and hand reflexology, and lovely aromatherapy. The massage table was almost more comfortable than my bed and I was never too hot or cold...just right. Linda's a lovely person and you can tell she loves her job and her clients. I heartily recommend her services and will definitely be visiting her again when I'm in the area. read more

Wow! I'm amazed that a place like this exists...and it's AFFORDABLE! My family took a quick little trip over Christmas break to Fairhope, Al. We picked a charming house to rent & as always, I randomly picked a book off their bookshelf to read during our stay. I just so happened to pick "Divorced in Redneck Riviera" and to my surprise the author of the book (who I immediately loved because I could NOT put the book down) runs a little day spa in Fairhope!! I had planned on getting a massage, but had no clue it would be by such an incredible author. Everything about the experience was personalized. Slippers at the front door, beautiful decor, a handwritten "welcome DeJuana" note beside a beautiful plate lunch in the perfectly decorated relaxation room. Words can not describe how well thought out & exceptional everything was, from the plush robe to the linens, essential oils, body silk lotions--I could go on & on...The massage itself was amazing, with all kinds of different textures, pressures, techniques combined beautifully to get you to relax and put you into a slight coma. The ONLY bad thing about it was when it was over...you will NOT want to leave!! Linda is talented honestly beyond words, super professional and LOVES her job in a way that shows in everything from the moment you arrive until you depart. If I lived in Fairhope I would have a weekly standing appointment with Linda. This was an amazing experience. When I came in to meet Linda, I didn't know what to expect, but this was top notch from the moment I walked into the door. Linda attends to all the details including a wonderful plate of fresh fruit and lovely snacks. There was a selection of heavenly robes to pick from, and everything was done at my leisure. Never once did I feel rushed to get the treatment started, or to check out. The treatment itself was divine. I literally was so relaxed, I feel asleep at one point. It was just so nice to be able to check out that completely, and Linda's day spa gives a person the opportunity to do just that. I moved here to the eastern shore several months ago and have had a very hard time finding a massage therapist who actually can do deep tissue for my jaw, neck and shoulders. I have TMJ and I get really profoundly tight. My hair stylist referred me to delatorre and so I risked it and tried again. First. If you want light touch and skin care this is the place. She's very kind and her home is beautiful. My issue is that i asked for DEEP TISSUE and she can't do it. She did cupping on my back but didn't touch my jaw neck or shoulders! I think she likely doesn't know what deep tissue is. So. I'm out $110 and my jaw neck and shoulders are still hurting. I'm so disappointed and sad. Oh well. Onward with my search. read more

WOW!!!!! What an unexpected treat! My husband and I traveled last week to Fairhope, Alabama and on our first full day booked a massage package for the both of us. We were surprised by the Southern Hospitality that was included in this delicious afternoon. We were greeted by Linda, our hostess/massage therapist and facialist. She showed us to our private room, which had a array of fruit, brownies, almond cookies etc. to nibble on, whilst louging in a cozy robe, and encased in a faux mink on a double chaise lounge, just to start. Then - heaven began, a tantalizing facial, followed by the most inventive massage I have ever experienced. I was immediately whisked away into a drooing, drousy state of pleasure. Hot stones, hot towels, and very experienced massage strokes were included in this unbelievable experience. Price - a deal of all deals. Massage was "The Best". We will be back! Lee S P.S. Outstanding experience from beginning to end. Linda makes you feel right at home, very welcoming, and is a very accomplished professional. In the pre-treatment, or kind of dressing room, there is nice relaxing music, and she provides a really nice assortment of fresh fruit, some excellent baked goods, and a lemon water to help hydrate you before the treatment. Very thoughtful. She has a short questionnaire to help guide the treatment and inform her of any existing injuries or problem areas. The treatment room itself also has nice music all around, very soothing, and the treatment is very thorough and calming. Linda uses what seems like a diverse variety of techniques. I had a sore neck and shoulder area going in, and it was vastly improved after just going once. I hadn't really been a massage client before, but will definitely have to do this again. read more
