I called multiple local businesses (handyman, home improvement, remodeling) and could never seem to get anyone to come out and look at my albeit smaller but various projects. Finally, a friend told me about Baldner Construction and what good work he does. I called and Yes! He called me back and set up an appointment! Jared assessed the various projects, worked with me on prioritization, and provided a fair-priced quote within days. Jared is highly skilled -from bookcases & doors to drywall & floors - his work was fist class with attention to details and cleanliness. He also had great suggestions based on my visions vs. costs. Not to mention, Jared has an easygoing personality that makes it a pleasure to work with him. 5-stars all-around....he's the man for the job! The quality of the work has warranted the low rating. They did not order the correct quantity of carpet to begin with, which meant two occasions for installation. But I do understand mistakes can happen. However, I now see that should have been a flag. After less than 6 months, there are multiple very visible seams in several locations. The worst being in the middle of a hallway - a major area of the house. I had never ever seen a seam in any carpet ever before, any where, so it was strange and somewhat shocking. They did respond and schedule to fix it in a timely manner. However, after spending 3 hours to supposedly fix the issues, a week later, the seams are just as bad. This has colored the whole experience to be extremely disappointing and I would not recommend them. At least not for carpeting.

The wrong wood had to then be removed, and the correct wood needed to be dropped off. Then rather than have us next in line to have our floors installed, which is what we would have liked in terms of customer service, they scheduled us another month out. This was terribly inconvenient because we had other home projects lined up with various cont based on the original timeline. Those projects are now all delayed as we await installation. Update: GWFC moved us up a week, so we're delayed three rather than four weeks. They also credited us $200. The floors themselves look terrific.
