The place has great connectivity because the transit center is right across from the Santa Fe Trail, which is another great connection. The Wi-Fi is easy to use. I've always loved reading but I fell off once I had kids. But I have recently fell back in love with it and so have my kids who have been begging me to get them library cards. This time around I just had my youngest with me and it was an adventure. It really is hard to see all of the homeless around here and feel excited about entering a building where you have to navigate around them to get in but it is what it is and you do what you gotta do. It was so nostalgic for me entering this building after so long. It was just how I remembered it but it does seem as though there aren't as many books on shelves as it use to be. I get it because I am a strictly kindle ebook reader now and a bit of a germaphobe. The staff was friendly and helpful and made my daughter's first experience at the library a great one. She was able to quickly find five books to check out and is excited to return to get some more.

Coming here as an adult recently I brought along memories of coming here as a child with my…read moregrandmother for storytime. Sure,since then it has been remodeled, updated, and modernized. No more card catalogs or microfilm readers. Instead it has been taken over by homeless people using the bathrooms, charging their phones, sleeping in the chairs, and I witnessed one man rolling a joint. The library did not smell of old books, it smelled of urine, alcohol, and cigarettes. I was given my library card after filling out the application, I took a quick tour around,and I left. There is no way I would want to come back.

I also was treated awful by any female staff. The front gate guy on weekends is super kind and very helpful. I commend him for maintaining such a level of professionalism while not being a butthead like most of the others inside the visitor center. Speaking of which, the little trailer outside where they send you if they feel threatened by the wire in your bra (or even better, your size a tits under a jacket with a slight hint nipple to be discovered by the ferociously deprived inmates) there is a nice Asian woman who won't speak English but is great with a pair of scissors. (They have a free bra wire removing service for your convenience.) the Hispanic man with his hair always jelled back nicely that works in the reception visiting center who tells you which window to go to isn't so much social, but kind nonetheless. He gets his job done without making you feel like a criminal. He also plays decent music (except during the holidays which I'm sure is against his will.) as far as the person who was residing there, he says 2.5/5 and he went to CMC to solitary confinement after because of the failure of his counselor to see him for 6 months at wasco and gave them a 3.9.

The post office is near,…read morepolice station across the street, it's near a bakery and where the have the Friday night street fair behind/near the library is a must to attend. There is library parking in the front and on the sides. The structure and colors of the building is modern and eye catching. It's AC and a cool zone!!!
