Stopped by to get a quick bite to eat. I ordered the carne asada steak fries, a beer battered fish taco, and a medium Sprite. The food came out fast, fresh, and hot! The guy that worked the drive thru included plenty packets of hot sauce and napkins and I didn't have to ask. I wish I had ordered more tacos because that fish taco was superb! Surprisingly, they put plenty of meat on the fries. They have taco specials on Tuesdays so I'll have to come back to try the other taco flavors. read more

I love Del Taco! Much better than Taco Bell! This location is super awesome! I've never been here and received bad customer service. Everyone here is extremely friendly. I've also never had a problem with my food. Everything has always been super fresh. Their value menu is also TOP TIER! And the Mini Donut Bites are CRACK COCAINE! I get them every time! The only negative is that sometimes, especially around lunch time, they have long lines in the drive-thru, but it usually moves pretty quickly. Scenic Highway is a busy road! read more

This location has been getting worse and worse. Today 9/17/2024, they locked the doors at 8pm. The inside is supposed to be open to 9 or 10pm. It smells like pot half the time. We ordered online for drive thru pick up once and was told to come inside. On the app we chose "pick up drive thru". The people taking the orders in the drive thru and inside can take 5-10 minutes to acknowledge your existence. Your order might be right and may not be sloppy thrown together. I gotta say that I'm one happy camper to see Del Taco coming back to Georgia! Ever since Taco Bell came to town, things just ain't been the same; and now to see Del Taco back is just the greatest thing since sliced bread with huckleberry jam and peanut butter. Del Taco released a news statement a month or so back that it had plans to build 60 restaurants in Georgia over the next couple of years with the first being in Snellville that opened up a week or so ago, and the next opening in April in Kennesaw. Hopefully we'll get some closer to Atlanta so I can enjoy this wonderful taco burrito munching stand more often. This past weekend we visited the new Snellville location on Sunday around dinner time. It was packed out, leaving me to think that I'm not the only one that is very happy to see Del Taco back in the state. The line, though long, moved along very fast and we were at the counter placing our order within about 5 minutes from arriving. The staff was very friendly and took my order with a great attitude, even though they were in the "weeds" with customers all around. I ordered the Deluxe Del Beef Burrito and a soft Shrimp taco for my meal. After about 3 or 4 minutes the staff had my order ready. Next it was off to the sauce bar where I picked up some mild and fire sauces. The food was just as delicious as I had remembered it as a child. Thank you Del Taco for coming back! Me and my girlfriend were looking for something quick to eat at 1am and were delighted to see that there was a Del Taco open near us. I ordered the jalapeño loaded fries and my girlfriend ordered a burrito. First of all, the food was pretty much ice cold. We had to microwave it to get it to the temperature that we wanted. Lastly, she ordered my jalapeño loaded fries with no sour cream, and when it arrived, there were large globs of sour cream on the top. Petty? Slightly. Annoying? Very. Furthermore, I tried to call the store to tell them that I wanted no tomatoes because the DoorDash app didn't allow me to put down "no tomatoes". Their phone was completely shut off. Please don't waste your time or money at this establishment. Oh yeah, and there were no napkins or silverware at all in the bag. This is probably the worst food I have had in my entire life. To start, the cashier got irritated/aggravated at us for something out of our control; the driver in front of me did not leave me enough room to adequately order at the speaker...meanwhile the Del Taco employee is repeatedly asking for us to go ahead with our orders. Once we made it up to the window, we got a lot of sass and attitude from the cashier, as though we were intentionally being annoying. As far as the food goes, I can tell you there is nothing redeemable that we had in our bag. We ordered the honey mango chicken tacos, the pollo al carbon, grilled chicken burritos, a taco salad, and some nachos. The best part of the whole meal was the taco salad. The meat all tasted kinda cheap and unseasoned; the grilled chicken on the burritos was so bad that I didn't bother attempting to eat the second. We threw about 3 or 4 dollars worth of food away; it was damn near unpalatable. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. read more

It's funny because I was actually on my way to get some Chic Fil A, but that location was temporarily closed. I kept driving and stumbled upon Del Taco. I don't think we have this franchise in my state, but I wish we did! I was able to briefly look over their menu online before I got to the drive thru window to order. I was starving and I noticed they had these "plates" so I decided to try the Chicken Verde Wet Burrito Plato. The Chicken Verde Wet Burrito Plato included a grilled Chicken Burrito with beans, tangy green sauce, and pepper jack cheese, and it was smothered also with sauce and more pepper jack cheese. It also came with 3 slices of fresh avocado. Then as side items, it also came with beans & rice and chips & salsa. Omg!! Del Taco is as close as I could get to eating authentic Mexican food. The only difference... it's fast food and they don't sell Tequila lol. The food was hot and fresh and well seasoned. The "plate" was also under $10. That's a lot of food for $10. Next time I'm in ATL, I'll try a new item at Del Taco! Will definitely be back for more! read more

If you order a quesadilla, make sure you specify if you want chicken or just plain cheese. I did not see a plain cheese quesadilla on the menu, however, I did see a chicken quesadilla so I ordered what I thought was a chicken quesadilla and ended up with a plain cheese quesadilla. When going back through the line to get it corrected, I was met when an attitude and told that I should have specified what kind. Ok, so if you have more than one kind, can you not ask the customer what kind they would like? Why give me an attitude? I didn't know that they sell plain cheese quesadillas which amount to cheese melted onto tortillas, nothing else. Once corrected, the quesadilla tasted good but now feeling like I should go get covid testing as the attitude I received about correcting my quesadilla may have inspired the cashier to spit on it. read more

Reliable, cheap and decent size of serving makes this place a go to for any casual weekday or any time you are rushed for food. Second was on the dollar menu is an option for a CRUCHTADA, and it comes in its own box!! For a dollar! That's impressive. It's a tostada with their chosen name for it. You have the choice of a mini quesadilla for 50c, a 59c bean and cheese burrito, and a regular 59c taco in the value menu, along with other options. A Late, Late, Late night stop of mine for years because the food is usually good and it's open 24 hour in drive thru. Just a tip to start off with, slow as molasses in winter, so don't stop if you don't have some patience... why?!?... cause Late Nite they only cook to order. Why is that good for your belly but not your gas tank? Cause food sitting in warmers turnes into dry bricks past Mid-night and I'll spend an extra dollar with the engine idling and A/C blasting for 5-10 minutes when I don't won't to heat up my kitchen and stuff the sink full of pans that late at night. So, tonight I actually rolled up to the Snellville Del Taco on Scenic Hwy. GA 124 at 2:15am-ish. Just ordering for one this evening and had one car in front on the line. Young lady taking orders was friendly yet seemed kinda surprised when I said, "yes, ma'am, thank you". Good job on speed of service tonight, ordered 2 Del Beef Burritos and a spicy quesadilla, but their grill and cook surfaces were SO HOT it burnt edges of some of the food. First things first, the health score is a 99. The store is very clean. My husband and I are on our way to the gun range and decided to get a quick bite to eat. We decided on Del Taco because my Husband has never had it before. It's been over 20 years since I've eaten here. Upon walking up to the menu board, this place seems to me as if Moes and Taco Bell had a baby The menu offers the regular American Taco joint fare; tacos, burritos and even burgers and fries. They claim all the food is made in store, fresh. There's even a salsa bar, which includes fresh salsa, taco sauce packets and ketchup. My husband and I both ordered the Verde chicken wet burrito plate. My rice was good, topped with some pico de gallo. Our pinto beans were well seasoned and topped with cheese and Taco sauce. The verde sauce on my burrito was blasphemous. I knew what I was getting into, I'll admit. But there was nothing fresh about the verde sauce, it was gelatinous and lacked flavor. It made the burrito super soggy and hard to cut. The chicken inside the burrito was scarce and tasted like frozen precooked chicken. Our tortilla chips were super salty. This location recently opened up in the area where my family lives. Up until then I had never heard of Del Taco. However after they opened whenever I drove by, the drive thru line was wrapped around the building and the parking lot was always full. Finally my dad and I stopped in to see what all the fuss was about. My dad ordered two fish tacos and the macho nacho. The tacos were quite small which makes sense because they are quite cheap. He said they were good, just small in size. The macho nacho was a good size but nothing to write home about. I love nachos but I will gladly skip their version and head to Moe's for their queso. Don't get me wrong it wasn't bad, it was just average. And when it comes to nachos average won't do, well not for me. The restaurant is open 24 hours. They also sell breakfast. When I visited it was clean and the customer service was good. Now the reason for the four star rating: their cheddar quesadilla. I'm not a big quesadilla fan but their quesadilla is supreme. As far as size goes, it's just enough. And they come out hot since they are made to order and just taken off the grill. So good. One week I went there twice and ordered the quesadilla. After looking up the calorie count I had to slow down, I don't want to become a fatty. I also tried the Spicy Jack Cheese quesadilla and it was good, I just prefer cheddar. When I return to Del Taco the cheddar quesadilla is what I will order. read more
