Like many others, I'm happy to see the return of Del Taco in this West Corona location. The old store, which was demolished for the 91 freeway expansion, was something like a landmark for commuters who routinely drove East on the 91. And if you lived nearby Serfas Club Dr., it was a great option for a quick dinner on a busy night. I recently visited the new location for the first time and was impressed as to how clean and tidy it was. Everything is new and shiny as one would expect, but it also seems that the new staff is determined to keep it that way. With respect to the food, it is the same classic Del Taco to which people have grown accustomed. I tend to eat vegetarian options here and can attest to the good quality of the red and green burritos. Just be careful, because their beans are now piping hot! The only quirk I noticed was the drive-through, which can now be entered from the east side of the restaurant. If you have a large SUV, it's a bit awkward, because it winds to and fro until you get to the window. You need some driving skills if you have a large truck or SUV. I look forward to visiting this location as much as the old one. read more

I have never written a review before, but boy oh boy get ready. This Del Taco is the single best Del Taco I've ever been to in my life. I am normally a Taco Bell kind of person but this singular establishment converted me. Give whoever works evening shifts (I always go at about 6-8PM on Fridays and Sundays) a raise because I will choose to eat here over any other Mexican restaurant. I have ordered many things, but the best thing to order here is the fish and shrimp tacos. Not even joking this would be my last meal. I want to thank the chef that makes these tacos personally one day, they are extremely talented and the most valuable member of your team. Just to put them to the test I ordered from another Del taco and they were missing many key components that this Del taco brings to the table. Tastes like a $10 fish taco in LA or San Clemente. Ive been to this del taco 3 times now. I am a restaurant manager and usually get off of work around 3am on the weekends, so the 24 hour drive thru is really convenient for me. The problem is that I think the night crew is purposely getting my order wrong. Sounds crazy right? Let me tell you why. Tonight, for example, I ordered food for myself and my girl waiting at home. I ordered 2 bean burritos, 2 chicken tacos, a large drink and 2 Carmel cheesecake bites. The drive thru girl repeated my order perfectly. At the time it was 3 am and I was the only soul in sight. What I received was carne asada fries, a hard taco, a soft taco and 3 Carmel cheesecake bites (they don't even come in multiples of 3.). I can understand getting my order mixed up with someone else...but there were no other customers inside or in the drive thru. My previous visits were much the same...getting completely different food than what I ordered when I am the only customer at 3am. I hope this finds the GM so they can figure out what's going on. 3 times now and not a single order has been even remotely close to right...it's almost funny at this point. Is this fast food or is it art? This Del Taco is superb in its food presentation and customer service. It's always clean, and they get my picky order right every time. I've been to this location twice in the past 2 weeks. Was hoping for delicious fries, what I got was soggy old fries. Either they were reheated or the oil is at the wrong temperature or the deep fryer grease is old. Really horrible and happened twice. Just threw the fries away. Ice tea tasted foul like the container hadn't been cleaned in weeks. I give up on this location. I will not be back. And I love Del Taco.... Not this one! read more

Ordered the triple chicken Box and food was cold except for the fries. Asked to have them warm up my chicken soft tacos and some guy just took and threw them out nothing said , no apologies! That was fucking rude! Yeah they made me new ones! You had to eat them right away because they do not warm up the tortillas at all! Welp. Here we are. We love Del Taco and we were excited about this location opening next to us. It has been nothing more than a disappointment since it's been open. I took a group of family here one night after an event. We were shorted all 4 of our chicken soft tacos. All of them. I turned around the car. I knocked on the door and I saw them notice but they did nothing. So I had to get back in the drive thru line and wait to get our 4 tacos. Food was cold by the time we were able to actually eat. One evening we were running around busy and decided to grab some dinner on the way home. Ordered some items including more chicken soft tacos. Instead we got 2 beef tacos. Neither of us like the beef so we did not eat. We called the store and they didn't really care and just offered us to come back which we did not want to do after being out all day. So they took our info down. Our name, order #, phone # and what we were owed. I asked if we were all set and they said yes it was written down and we just had to ask next time. Went to grab some tacos after the movies. Ordered a few items. Told the cashier at the window about the previous situation and our info including the old order #. She was clueless. The manager was visibly annoyed just to have to talk to us. I explained everything and instead of her being apologetic about messing up multiple times we got attitude. She made us feel as if we were wrong. She told us next time she would not do it for us. I explained to her that we got more food and we simply asked for the 2 tacos we were owed and did exactly what we were told to do by the staff when we called. So we miss food, get wrong items, and to top it off also attitude as paying customers. Horrible customer service. Horrible operations. Horrible food. Horrible leadership. It was Thanksgiving Day, and I was ever so slowly crawling down the 91 on my way to Temecula for Thanksgiving dinner. My Gas tank was approaching empty, and my stomach was growling loudly. Mapquest said my travel time was two hours, I was already up to four and a half thanks to crappy traffic. I caught the Del Taco sign, and it seemed quite close to the highway. Another sign from above came in the form of brakelights and a very long pause in forward motion virtually in front of the exit ramp. I read the signs, and pulled off. It was only a few turns to arrive at the restaurant. After searching my backpack, i found I had a coupon for free apple desert thingy. The girl behind the counter happily accepted it along with my order of the $4 variety deal. Quesedillas, chicken taco, burrito a drink, and an order of fried apple thingies. A veritable feast, and only four an change after tax. Such a great deal. My food came up quickly and It was as tasty as I've come to expect from Del Taco. As I ate, I watched cars on the freeway crawl past painfully slowly. I dreaded returning back to my spot n line amongst them. At least I was enjoying fried apple thingies while the other miserable lemmings sat in their cars and rolled by at 2 mph. Small victories. With a full belly, I asked girl behind counter where I was, and I got back into my car. I easily returned to my spot back in the line of traffic, and continued my slow slow journey south. I can't believe I'm actually going to rate a fast food joint but I just had to. Traffic is always brutal when I drive home from where I work so it gets you all in a cranky mood then it makes it worse when I get all hungry on the way home. So one night on my drive home, I decided to stop by this Del Taco location because the 91 freeway was a nightmare. I went through the drive-thru coz I was too lazy to order inside. The guy at the drive-thru window was very courteous and friendly. Didn't have that 'i-hate-working-here' type attitude. Aside from that, the burger and fries that I ordered were soo good! The fries weren't sitting there for hours, they were nice and hot. They give you napkins and sauces with the order (unlike some other fast food chains like the one with the big golden arch .. ahem mickey Ds). For a fast food place, I say give this location a try. Ordered an upgraded Fiesta Pack with six Del Tacos. Was charged more than the posted price and then got home to find the tiny value size tacos. When I tried to reach to store, nobody would answer. Fianlly called corporate who apologized, took my info, and will be handling a refund. So disappointed in the performance of this location since it's return. read more

Might be the worst location to go to. Manager Teresa does not know what customer service is. Gave attitude and refused to do a simple alteration on my $45 order even though I do it all the time. All I asked was to switch the sauce and she refused. If I could give zero stars I would. Never returning and neither will everyone I know. Horrible. read more

Came in ordered one taco. Taco was the stalest taco I've ever had at A Del Taco. Called them told them about it conceded for other customers and their food trying to help this Del Taco out. & They said come in to get another one. Once I came in asked for the taco Manager Mayra was super rude and said the tacos were fine. & Tried to make me pay for another. Mayra was very rude and showed no type of concern for her customer. Never make Reviews ever because I have worked fast food and know how people can be but just thought she should be a little more considerate especially when I'm trying to help them out! Very disappointed with this location. I was SO excited to see it being built again, and I couldn't wait to go! My family and I went on Friday night and brought it back home. When we took the food out of the bag, we realized our food was cold. My dad had also ordered tacos (or so he thought), they hardly put any meat in there....he basically ate just a shell. We decided to give them another shot tonight, since this was our go to spot back in the day. Well tonight's experience was no better. I pulled into the drive thru to start ordering and the guy taking my order didn't put in half of the order I said. We went back and forth about 8 times (not even kidding) of us repeating my order to each other. With frustration I offered to just state my order AGAIN (9th time) and was hoping he'd get it right. I could tell he was getting embarrassed because of his awkward laughing through the speaker and all of his apologies. We pulled up to the window and the guy apologizes and says "sorry he's new." Listen, I get they just reopened and they probably have new staffing, but seems like they need to train the employees a little better. Maybe shadow them until they feel confident doing their job. I will be giving this place another try because it's a family favorite and super close to home, but will not be returning if I have an incident the third time. read more

This is the most horrible Del taco I have ever been to. I ordered thru the app and set it to pick up thru the drive thru as I got to the order box I said I was here to pick up a mobile order the lady says okay pull up. When I got to the window I was told they don't have my order it's not on there screen so I tell the man I have proof I ordered my meal showed him my app which shows my order and the the store address and he tells me we don't have your order. Mind you the money has already been taken out of my bank account and I show him proof of that also. I am told we don't have your order there is nothing we can do. I ask for the store manager he tells me he was the manager on duty come to find out he was a shift manager by the name of Alfredo. By this time I'm pissed I have paid for my food show proof and it's still no we can't make your food. By this time I'm livid and just want my food that I paid for so I ask for the corporate number and Alfredo hand me a piece of receipt with the Moreno Valley del taco number not even corporate like he said it was and all of a sudden 10 min later my order appears out of no where and he says okay I can make your food now. Either they were trying to hustle me or doesn't know how the mobile orders work. So my advice is stay away from this Del Taco and the store manager needs to hire better shift managers who have better customer service skills. read more

I love del taco but this new one needs to get it together. One car in front of me in the drive thru took 30 minutes then I got home and found my fries were really really cold and hard. For my first yelp review it has to go to Del Taco off Frontage in Corona, strictly due to the fact that one particular employee makes up for anything bad you might experience. I wish I knew his name but if you're from the area and drive thru (usually at night) then you know who I'm talking about. I'm not joking, this guy seriously loves his job and is so fricken nice you literally drive away with a smile... From Del Taco!!!!!!!!!!! This location is always super quick, the food almost always taste fresh (at least 9 times out of 10) and has one of the best fast food employees I have ever encountered. Wish I knew the guys name so I could give him props, but both my wife and I are always impressed with how quick he is at taking orders (always getting it right the first time), always friendly without being fake and don't know why but the food always seems like it's even better when he's working. I used the drive though yesterday 01/11/2019 and tried 3 times to place my order at the drive up Khios and even though I drive a full electric car and it make absolutely no noise the person could not hear me at all. They should fix or upgrade the system to work better. I then drove to the window and still the person trying to take my order still couldn't hear me and at this time i was getting very frustrated. I think the quality of listing is really underrated. I Finally got my order placed after many back-and-forth with many "what"? I paid for my food and she didn't give me all my change back and when I asked for the balance of my change she gives me this look like seriously you want your one cent? She then handed me my food and didn't give me my drink or ask if I wanted any hot sauce and after getting her attention aging she then call the supervisor over to deal with me. I guess it was too much for her to handle. Anyway I think the management needs to invest some more time with the employees and teach the value of good or great customer service.
