Horrible the taco gets any thinner it'll just be a tortilla shell just horrible. The consistency of this place is stupid. I wish management would take care of this and stop having the same kid who I thought they fired making tacos

When you ask for light tomatoes, they take it seriously and only give you 3 diced pieces each. LOL

So excited to finally see a Del Taco over on the east side of the state. No more driving to Orlando or obsessably looking for them on road trips when we leave the state. You can see all the new flags still up so during my visit I'd say we were there about 3-4 weeks after they opened, and the place was still booming with people in the drive thru land and inside was packed with only a few places left open. We ordered our usual, Del Tacos with a few extra new items to try but the focus was on the tacos. So I will say this.... if you think this is like Taco Bell, you are wrong, or your taste buds are off. Plain and Simple. The meat has a different flavor, and the cheese is fresh. Don't get me started on the size of the tacos compared. I will say this though, which I am hoping is just growing pains and they will correct themselves. Compared to every other Del Taco I have been to, the toppings were skimpy and not up to par in the amount category. I asked for light tomatoes because they are normally heaping but when I got mine, I literally got 3 pieces of diced tomatoes. That takes the word Light to a new level and Ben's tacos (ordered normally) were more of what I meant. And the cheese... come on, you are known for giving a shit load of cheese... your toppings should actually fill the entire taco with cheese overload. The lettuce was almost non-existent. So if they can get the toppings straightened out they were be on point. We waited in line, even with a full lobby for about a minute and then maybe 2-3 minutes to get our food. They have all the potential, just a few things to work out which is normal for a new restaurant. Can't wait for the Tampa/Pinellas locations to open.

Del Taco offers up ok food in a casual, laid back atmosphere. My wife and I stopped in here for lunch on Saturday. We passed Del Taco on our way to Anna Maria Island. We knew the name but didn't know where from and neither of us had eaten here before. On our way home, we figured it would be a good spot for a quick lunch. Del Taco is a restaurant mostly found on the west coast. Majority of their locations are in California. 5 of them have popped up in Florida now. For some reason, this taco place was booming. We thought it was their grand opening weekend. (It wasn't. They opened nearly 2 weeks ago). The drive-thru line was wrapped around the building. We waited in line inside for about 15 minutes before ordering. We both got the #1 meal. It consists of two original Del Tacos with beef, a side of fries and a drink. $7 and some change for each meal. We scoped out a seat in the busy place and waited about 10 minutes for the food. Once it was up, my name was called and I walked up to get it. I'll start with this. If you blind folded me and said tell me what restaurant you'e eating from, I would have said Taco Bell. It's pretty much the same thing. We each tried a hard and a soft shell taco. The usual shredded cheese, lettuce and tomato over top a mushy, thin ground beef mixture that is seasoned with taco spices. The fries on the side were decent. Somewhat crunchy crinkle cut fries with a heavy amount of salt on them. All the staff we encountered were friendly. I asked an employee why it was so busy and asked if it was their grand opening. He said he had no idea why it was so busy and that everyone kept saying they were from California and were glad to see a Del Taco. They do have a decently diverse menu. You can get burritos, tacos, quesadillas, tortas (which look like sandwiches), tamales, salads and even a burger. I'd say, check this place out for yourself. It's new and different and it's cool to see popular food from the west migrate here. They have enough different options on the menu to set themselves apart so it's definitely worth a try.

Late night run...but no Beyond Meat :(

They don't have Beyond Meat at this location!! :( Del Taco was one of my guilty pleasures when I lived in California so I was so excited to do a late night run. Pull up, and no Beyond Meat. Luckily I also love their beans but I was pretty bummed. Start offering Beyond Meat at this location, please!!!

Food: our favorites here were the chicken guacamole burrito, the chips and guac (rivals chipotles chips and guacamole!), del tacos, and the burger and fries received kid approval. Service: fast and efficient Ambiance: typical fast food interior, and clean!

Tacos and chips with Guacamole

The tacos tasted a lot like Taco Bell's tacos. The guacamole was excellent and very fresh and the dining area was really cleaned and also pretty busy.

Attractive store

No complaints from the few times we've been here. Cashier is always friendly and the food is much better than the usual fast food fare.

We were here for the Cigar Box Music Festival and it seemed a bit chaotic in the seating area…read more There wasn't enough staff and they ran out of certain beers and even Pepsi. How does that happen when you know you have an event like this on a Saturday? We ordered the chips and guacamole, which was a mistake. The chips were way too thick and were stale. The guacamole was bland. I am used to garlic and lime in guacamole and this had none.

Calling in an order for tacos, not previously reviewing the menu wasn't the optimal approach. I…read moreasked for the items to be ready off, met with a grunt and groan but read to me none the less, close to fifteen or more in total. Forgive me if I stumble upon the exact names - the chicken asada, avocado and cambia stuck in my head and upon completion I asked for my total - $25. & change. Seemed kinda pricey and when I got inside my mind was partially absorbed by the cool surf decor and the woman writing checks at the counter who barely raised a brow to my presence. An older fella was in the back preparing - it was Tuesday at noon, a table of clucking hens outside, myself and two additional workers inside. Both visually unhappy bloated people that had an unpleasant stare and aura. My food was doing upon the counter in such a uncared for way that I thought to myself "this can't possibly be mine", it was. On the bright side of matters, the tacos were dense with the assigned ingredients, heavy chicken, fish and avocado to be sure. And remember three stars isn't a bad review, but there was a few things about the place I just didn't like. Walking in, my hopes were high as the building and ramp entrance was adorable, as mentioned, I really liked the interior design - but I must report the lowest grades for staffing - asking for a implement for hot sauce was not easy and seamless - it's a downer feel to what could be and should be good vibrations.
