Tried to stay away from this place because We have all heard the horrible stories from the people who run the liquor store but I wanted to try the food inside the place. Not realizing you have to go thru the thief who runs this place. Ordered food the lady gave me a ticket that says: $123.00 I go to the register to pay the middle eastern man charges me $139. Gave me a receipt says I got $100 cash back and the rest was the charge. CONFUSED with the receipt that's says he gave me cash back. I got back to ask him make sure this was my receipt. He became very defensive telling me: "DID YOU SEE ME TAKE CASH AND GRAB IT" I said "No but my receipt shows you gave me cash back" Then he told me it's the registers that does that when I saw him punch in the numbers charged. I said Ok Thanks, just wanted to make sure this is MY receipt. Very upsetting that I ordered Birria quesatacos but was given Pork cooked in Birria sauce with a small side of consome.. also not quesatacos.. but hard shell tacos. Their service was so nice, the lady was sweet who makes food but I placed an order for their enchilada plate, at 10 to pick up at 10:30. I picked up up and paid, the lady said it was $13 and the guy rang it up for 14.99, I sat down to eat, and my salsa on the enchilada was cold, the chicken was chewy and had a lot of fat, the rice had a literal hair in it and the beans tasted burnt. My new go to for tacos in a pinch, after my first visit. Stopped in the liquor store for lotto tickets and found a small grill tucked in the back of this little shop. Their special of the day was 4 street style, soft tacos for $10. They were flavorful, full of meat and plenty of toppings. Way better than most fast food places and very filling for the price, made fresh and fast. The menu is simple, as it should be, considering the location and space. Beware! This store will overcharge and not give you an itemized receipt. I went in and bought a few drinks and chips and was charged $24.10. I asked for a receipt with prices and he said he has none. He then wrote down the items on the back of a cigarette carton. All of the items were extremely overpriced. I added them and they still did not come up anywhere near the total. I went back in the store and requested a refund. The guy was extremely rude and cussed me out. He also told me to get out of his store. I left the items on the counter and called the police. 1star is too high for this place. My sister in law was looking for a certain seltzer her friend in Las Vegas wanted for their up coming trip. She had been searching online for the product Which averaged $10 per four pack. She called this Liquor store to confirm they had it in stock, and since I was going to Stater Bros, I told her I would pick them up for her. Arrived at the liquor store asked where the product was and noticed there were no prices listed in the cooler. I brought 4 four pack to the counter and he charged me $72!. That's nearly TWICE the price as listed elsewhere. They weren't for me and I didn't know at the time the average price so I purchased them and brought them home. My sister in law decided that I got ripped off and decided to return them. She went to the store and asked for a refund and the guy blew up at her! "ALL SALES ARE FINAL!" When she mentioned he was charging double as other stores in the area he told her to "F#CK OFF" and to "Get out of my F#CKING STORE, YOU C#NT!" She came home in tears and shaking. They have a decent variety of alcohol, I usually come here when I want to see what hard alcohol they have on sale. They change their sales like every other day so you're probably not going to be paying the same price too often. If you're looking to buy a 12/18/24/30 pack I recommend you walk your happy-ass to stater brothers for a better deal. They have loads of snacks at a decent price, way cheaper than 7/11 or any gas stations around. Sometimes they have chips or trail mix or candy on sale as well so sometimes you find a good deal. They have a ceviche stand inside of the store which is cool but I haven't tried it so I can't really say much on that. If you're a guy or a LGBT they have a variety of nudie magazines that are constantly being updated on their racks, not sure on the price but check it out I guess... The dudes here are dicks and are constantly watching my every step as if I was going to steal. I literally come every day ever since I can remember so you'd think they would lay off a bit. I have noticed that they're not very friendly towards anyone that looks remotely alternative (punk, goth, scene, ect.ect.). The heaviest Caucasian male has some sort of interest in me and it makes me uncomfortable because he doesn't have a filter on him so it makes it really uncomfortable for me to want to go in there if he is working. I'm pretty good at tolerating harassment but geez does he know how to make someone feel uncomfortable. I have seen many many many MANY many maany arguments/ fights breakout at this liquor store regarding price change constantly happening without notice. Two of my close friends are "banned" from this store for arguing over a $2 price change within a day so be careful not to piss them off if you come here often enough I guess. Which in my opinion is sad to say because I am sure they're loosing business over their shitty attitudes. Oh, my biggest pet-peeve about this location is that sometimes the guys decide to charge sales tax and CRV or make it a flat price and either round up or round down. Don't go here, employees are shady and will rip you off. For the past few months a particular employee has acted overly friendly every time I come in for cigarettes and has given me 'freebies' from behind the counter (most of the time not even telling me what they are and hurriedly shoving them into a bag). It turns out he's been charging me and getting away with it because I normally don't ask for a receipt. So it comes out to over a hundred dollars, at least, that I've given them without realizing it. This place sucks. Every time I have ever been in there, the guy overcharges me. Today I bought three .99 shots. I was charged 4.40. He told me he rounds the .99 to 1.02 to make it easy for the customer plus (?) plus 8% tax. How the hell does that add up to 4.40. I got home & looked at the receipt & he charged me for 4. Place is a rip off, the prices that are posted (very few of them) are not right, or at least not what they charge you at the cash register besides obvious taxes. I asked the man/ Cashier that seems to be working there when Ive gone in to take one beer off of my order because I didn't know the price would be so high & He was visibly upset, yelling that he had to redo my entire order (5 items btw). I was an idiot and went back to this place a few weeks later (because its close to me) & I used the wrong card. Went in during the Power Ball Mania night. There were about 7 people in line. The main man behind the register was rude to 2 separate girls that were in front of me. There's a seafood eatery inside the store and that man was ringing from the same register, so it was only adding to the main cashier's frustrating night. He couldn't handle the small crowd and he was talking really loud to the other guy in their native language. It made all of us customers feel uncomfortable. This store will ROB YOU. The cashier told me my total was $4.30 for two bags of chips. There's no screen that shows the total you're being charged, not even on the card reader as you enter your PIN number. I was also not offered a receipt. As I walked out, I decided to check my account to verify how much I was charged and was charged $5.05 for my purchase. I went back into the store to confront the cashier and ask about the charge and they charge $0.75 to use your card. NO SIGN IS POSTED and the cashier does not tell you about the additional charge. Pay attention to what you buy in there. They do not have a screen showing what you purchase and how much it is. The receipt also does not show each item. I noticed that when I would buy the same two items every few days the price would change. When you would ask them why they would get upset and be rude to you and say the price changes (which it doesn't) well an ex employee of there's told me that they over charge people through out the day and @ the end of the day see who gets more $ and then they would win all the $ they over charged people. They also talk to each other in Egyptian and when you interrupt them to ask a question they act annoyed. Seriously go to stater brothers or T & H liquor around the corner. This is the closest store to my house that I can run in really quick and grab a coke or some tylenol, etc, but I question myself every time I go there (which is few and far in between). The guys who work there are rude, except one guy, and the items I've gotten there before have been expired. I have to watch what I buy. If you buy cigarettes, they offer the "discount if you get two" which is like 50 cents off, but if you say you're not interested they give you a look. Meh, I'd rather go to Stater Brothers. read more
