We've done several smog checks here. They are quick , trustworthy and professional. Everything electronically transferred to the DMV.

I got my car smogged here and it was kind of difficult. The staff are not welcoming, and they were really short with me even though there were not any other customers when I came in. They also did not advertise online that they only offer DMV title transfers on certain days. I came back a second time and then they informed me that they also only have one person that does the DMV services and they come in late in the day. I came back a third time and they told me they could not help me with my title transfer. I wasted a lot of time here- it was not more convenient at all to try to get DMV services here. It ended up being easier to just go straight to the DMV. read more

Marco answered the phone when I called and was extremely professional, and reassuring when I had questions and apprehensions (based on previous experiences elsewhere). I was very pleased at the experience with DEKRA on Sunday. They opened on time, were very helpful and efficient. In and out with my 2017 SUV very quickly. Price was $63 including certificate and a great experience. Other places charge less and then add the ~$8.50 certificate cost. Price varies depending on vintage of vehicle. That is logical. Just got my car smog checked again and wow, I'm just so impressed at how fast these guys are! Of course I made an appointment first. When I drove up they came to the car, got my key and paperwork and got it all done in just 15 mins! No exaggeration. Just enough time to eat a breakfast sandwich and sip my coffee while watching a morning show on their lobby TV. By the time I was done paying and walking out, there were more customers and cars. Not only is it the most affordable, but it's also the fastest! I usually come in the morning, around 10 AM, and there's never a huge wait. Pulled in Monday morning, 8/29/2022, about 8:00 a.m. The tech there (the only one) was putting out signs. Then he asked for my car key and proceeded to do the smog test/certification. It took about 15-20 minutes. When paying I used a $4 coupon, so total came to $56, which I charged to my VISA. The indoor waiting room at DEKRA was clean and tidy and there was a television to watch. There also were some outdoor chairs. Went home and finished the DMV renewal registration online. read more

I took my car in today as it is very close to home and I received good service a couple of years ago. I didn't have an appointment. I waited about 10 minutes and then my car was in the service bay. 10 minutes later, I had my paperwork, and then walked over to the registration window. For a small fee, I had my tags. I was in and out in less than an hour. Service was courteous and efficient. I was happy to pay a little extra for the registration since it saved me sitting for an hour at AAA. I went to DEKRA yesterday to get my car smogged. There was no one in the office, so I waited......and waited. When no one came I finally went to the mechanics area and the fellow there barked at me to go meet him in the office. So I did, There was no "hello" or "how can I help you?" or any other type of personal greeting. Just a cold demand for me to pay for the smog cert when I told him what I was there for, and an icy comment come back in 30 -45 mins. So that's what I did. When I returned, once again there was no one in the office. Again I waited and waited. Then just as before I walked to the work area to find someone to help and found a guy who was as cold, irritable and abrupt as the first one .He ordered me back to the office. He handed me my keys and a receipt. No "thank you for coming in", no comment at all actually. Just cold silence and the document. Not even eye contact. I don't get it. But I sure didn't like the treatment. I won't be coming back here for anything because of the rudeness, lack of interest and the vibe that servicing my car was an inconvenience/annoyance/a bother. I gave 2 stars instead of just one because the car was done quickly. NOT RECOMMENED! read more

I called to ask if an appointment was required, he asked my make and model, said no, and that they weren't very busy at the moment. These guys are efficient and thorough. I have an older vehicle, 1977 Toyota FJ40, that requires a special testing machine. Calling around, not many people have it, nor can test older cars. I found this place and came for my last test and there was 1 woman, by herself, and she took care of all cars by herself. This time around Gilbert took care of me. He even took extra time because it was failing the EVAP side of things. Once he realized the 2 tanks, it changed everything. He took the time to take it back in and pass it! I came here to get my smog checked. vehicle, It was fast and easy, the employee left my vehicle in drive turned my vehicle, off, and then proceeded to tell me that he could not get my keys out of the ignition and he didn't know why. then I tried to start my vehicle it would not turn on. I asked if he would jump my car and he said they did not have jumper cables! I will not be coming back to this location. The men at Carquest were nice enough to give me a jump. read more

I have been taking my cars for smog checks to this shop for a few years and they are awesome, they are fast and if you have an appointment even faster. Once my old Toyota Land Cruiser didn't pass and they told me I needed a new gas cap, I went to the auto parts store around the corner from them and purchased a new gas cap they retested and it passed.
