I bought a Groupon for this location because I always wanted to give it a try. Now I understand why it's on Groupon!!! My experience felt rushed and I left feeling dissatisfied and tricked. Let's start with the few positives: 1) The decor was kind of cute inside. 2) They had a good audio system that played music all throughout the studio at a decent volume. I really tried to find some nice things to say about the place. Though, it was hard.. Onto the negatives: 1) After noticing the interactions between the lash techs, I get the feeling that this is JUST a job for everyone there. I came early in the morning and their conversations seemed monotonous; No one had passion in their voice. It made me feel a bit uncomfortable and unwelcome. 2) My lash tech was Alex. When I booked, I paid extra for someone that was advertised as a lash "master". If she's considered a master, this company should reconsider their certification process. I showed her a picture of big voluminous lashes and left with the shortest lash extensions that were slightly a step up from my normal lashes. I even told her that I wanted super "extra" lashes. Even worse, my lashes have fallen off in multiple chunks not even two days after!! (I've followed all the recommendations such as no showering for the first 24 hours) Seriously, I've gotten my lashes done in people's basements that were way better than here!! 3) I left feeling like an idiot who was tricked. I wasn't told until towards the end of my service that she used a shorter length on my lashes. She never asked about length she just did what she felt necessary even though I showed her a reference picture at the beginning that was CLEARLY different than the results I got. Even worse, it wasn't even a full hour and I was already checking out at the register. Keep in mind, I was getting a full set. Usually those services take close to 2 hours to do and refills usually are about an hour. She told me that she would charge me for a "true express" which is less because I wasn't getting a "true volume set". At the check out, I mentioned how I was using a Groupon for the "true volume" but was only given a true express lash and asked how that would work out. I think Alex just didn't want to deal with the extra steps of dealing with the Groupon and backtracked on what she originally told me. She said that she used used volume lashes all on my lashes, but I just had so few lashes that it looked like a true express service. I didn't even want to argue with her about it.. Towards the end, she had the audacity to discuss membership pricing with me. I was considering signing up for the membership when walking in dependent on my results. It's a joke to even think about such a silly concept now after the horrible results and service I got. My experience has scared me away from ever trying Deka lash again. I'll stick to local businesses that are true on their words and passionate about their craft. Alex, you should consider another profession. I'm sorry. read more

I will start off by saying that there were things that I did like about this lash studio, but there are things that are absolutely mind boggling to me. Like the fact that all of my lashes are GONE and it's only been 5 days. So I'll start off with the things that I liked because my review isn't a reflection on every location or lash tech.. What I liked about Deka Lash is the atmosphere. I didn't feel like I was in a doctors office like I have at other lash studios. I liked that it was open and didn't feel so closed off and claustrophobic. The eye pillows they used to keep bottom lashes from being stuck together were also nice. At other studios I've had my face taped in every which direction and these just laid on my lashes without feeling uncomfortable. Now for why I'm so disappointed: First off- My lash tech did not was her hands or wear gloves before touching my eyes. This made me feel uncomfortable. I've never had my lashes done without my tech washing their hands before getting started. Especially when a pandemic is going on! Secondly- fter our initial consultation we had agreed on C curls and a little extra length. What I got were D curls and no added length. Not to mention my left eye was missing 5-6 lashes on the outside. There was just nothing there..... not sure if my tech was looking to get out of there early as I was her last client for the day or what happened but come on....... Third- I was instructed to gently brush out my lashes the next morning. When I did, I counted 9 lashes that had fallen out. I knew some of them would fall out but 9?! The next morning I did the same and 7 fell out that time. That's not counting what fell out during the night. I didn't brush them out the 4th day of having them but this morning (5th morning) I had ONE left on my right eye. ONE. It looked like my eyes were shedding all over my pillow... To say I'm disappointed is an understatement. Lashes have never fallen out this fast for me. Ever. I've had lashes last an entire month before having to get a fill. This is honestly insane to me. But like I said. This is not a reflection on the entire company as a whole. This could've been a result of a lack in training from my lash tech but regardless, this shouldn't have been the results I was left with. read more

I got my lashes done here about 2 months ago.. maybe? My lash tech was friendly and kind but she didn't do a great job. my lashes only lasted 1 and a half weeks and they were all gone by 2 weeks. I requested Abeline and she was kind but wasn't thorough. at the end my lashes looked incomplete and patchy. she didn't place enough extensions near the corners of my eyes so they look unfinished and fake. i would not recommend this place if you wanna get your moneys worth. lashes are always pricey so i want the worth to reflect that but this place doesn't provide that. my lashes cost almost 300 dollars and lasted barely 2 weeks.. to me that's a waste of money. the techs are friendly but quality is not there. read more

Excellent service! Fantastic work! Friendly service professionals! Would recommend for special occasion or Maintainance!

They intentionally use glue that does not hold up well to upswell you and make sure your membership package is used quickly otherwise they keep your money. I was rarely asked what I wanted as far as lashes and they did the bare minimum, like every other lash for a huge premium then insist you tip. read more

This was my first time using a Groupon as well as getting my lashes done. I was sooo pleased with the entire experience. Dawn was so friendly, informative and helpful. Her work was beautiful! I came in to have my lashes done by Carmella. My first impressions were that the salon was very clean and they had a good setup. I've had my lashes done before but I can honestly say I've never had a better set than Carmella gave me. They feel so natural like I don't even have them on. She made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire two hour process and we had great conversation the entire time. She also recommended the make up remover pads to me and they're probably the best eye makeup remover I have ever tried. They are made of a sort of foam material so they don't catch on the lashes and they're super gentle on the skin. I can't wait to go back to se where for my full! read more

So disappointed. The lashes looked great for 2 days. I followed all instructions and not even a week later they look TERRIBLE. The lash extensions I still have left (only a few) are hurting because they are growing in sideways. I waited longer than 48 hours to get them wet, still haven't worn mascara and have been so so gentle on these lashes. Just such poor quality. My sister got lashes at another business a week before I got these and her's still look perfect. Go elsewhere. read more

Great technicians very nice and knowledgeable. Application process is awesome nice salon good salon experience. Horrible quality lashes. They are stiff and feel like plastic. Very crunchy, they are the worst quality of lash I've ever had and I have bee. doing individual lashes for over 5 years. They need better quality lashes. Will not be going back. read more

DAWN IS THE BEST! Always keeps me looking good no matter how many lashes I lost in that week. Thank you deka lash.

Very unprofessional. Spoke with a customer service manager named Sarah who would not refund or extend my lash benefits due to Covid 19. Extremely unreasonable that I can't use these benefits in the future during a time of pandemic so I'm losing hundreds of dollars. Filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. This business is going against all safe distancing protocols in place by the CDC and it is shameful that they will not extend benefits or refund money due to a global pandemic. read more

I had Chelsea do my lashes the last few times I've been in. She does an amazing job at listening to me and helped fix extensions I had done at another place that weren't what I asked for at all. got my lashes done on monday.. the lady was super nice and did them beautifully. except.. she said they ran out of the "lash do's and dont's cards" so all she told me was not to get them wet for 24-48 hours and i didn't. by saturday night all of my lashes had fallen out. honestly very upset with how short lived they were and that i wasn't told how to properly take care of them. read more

My lashes looked great...for 2 days. 2 hours dedicated to a 2 day result is not worth it for me.

Thought I would try a lash lift for my upcoming cruise. Totally not worth it. One eye has a few lashes that are sticking up in various places but the other has none. Thankfully I had a Groupon and didn't spend a ton. Not worth it. Never again. The girl even claimed by the next day it will be curled more, but I knew that wouldn't happen and it didn't. The place was nice, clean and the girls were nice but if it doesn't work whats the point. read more

I recently made an appointment to be a lash model for Rachel at the Deka Lash in Wexford. The day before my complementary service I was called by the manager and told that they made a mistake in with their schedule and that Rachel was not available for the Saturday that I had planned. She did not offer me another service without paying 78.00 which is even more then what I could have got with a groupon. It was very clear that she did not want to accommodate my business. She made excuses that stylist who are in training use less glue and lashes. Which if they are training they should be performing that full set as if they were applying it to a paying client. I also sent an e-mail explaining the mix up to the owner and still have yet to hear anything back. I ended up going to the Greentree location and had a wonderful experience. read more

I had my VERY expensive microblading done at this salon. I am so disappointed because I saved for a long time to have the procedure done. The brows looked great for about 3 days and that was it. The lash artists are nice, BUT the lashes and lash glue they use is AWFUL. All but 4 of my lashes fell out OVERNIGHT a day after I got them filled. Not worth $100s of dollars a month for a one night use. I go to Lash Boss Academy now where my lashes stay put for a MONTH. read more

Beware. they keep your credit card on file without your knowledge or consent and then they take the liberty to charge it when they want to without your consent or knowledge any amount they want to. they take appointments from minors without any hesitation. they don't require anyone who calls to identify their age. when problems arise they tell you it's not their problem and charge your card because the appointment was cancelled. they text and request to respond if you want to confirm the appointment and nothing if to cancel. my daughter didn't respond to the text thinking that cancelled the appointment. but Deka refuses to acknowledge that it was cancelled and refuse to reimburse the $119 charge to my card. that's unlawful and totally bad business practice. I never authorize them to keep my card on file and I never authorize them to charge it. we will never give them any business again ever. read more

I had two really bad experiences unfortunately with Deka Lash. The first I showed up at the Washington location and the girl who was suppose to do my lashes was not there and the manager showed no regard and told me to just come back in an hour when she got there. I couldn't come back and I was already there so I did not get my lashes done. The second I actually got my lashes done at the McMurray location for a wedding my lashes were off that night they fell out one by one as I left they were very very sparse and it was like I didn't even get lashes. Needless to say I didn't have lashes for the wedding and what I did the girls couldn't believe what they saw. There are way to many places out there for 2 bad experiences. read more

Very disappointed with Deka Lash Wexford location. I scheduled an appointment to get lashes done for a specific event. The morning of the appointment (three hours before the scheduled time) I received a call from Deka Lash explaining that they needed to cancel my appointment because my lash artist didn't come to work. I asked for another lash artist or another appointment that day, they would not accommodate me. I explained that I made this appointment because I needed my lashes done for a specific event that next week, so if I couldn't get my lashes done before that, there was no point in rescheduling. Still, they made no accommodations. I was not offered any compensation. This was a very disappointing experience and I would call this studio undependable. Deka Lash's Wexford cancellation policy states: "Please be respectful and make any cancellations, or reschedule, before 24 hours of your appointment time. If you cancel or reschedule an appointment within 24 hours of the appointment time, you agree to be charged $20.00 to your card on file. If you do not show up for an appointment, and do not notify us beforehand, you will be charged 100% of the service price to your card on file." I was not shown respect or given the full 24 hours that they expect their customers to adhere to. Very disappointed. Would never recommend. read more

I had the micro blading service done for my eyebrows. While there is some minor improvement it is nothing like I expected it to be. The service is almost twice as expensive as other salons ,spending $500. My technician said that sometimes people react differently and there's no real way to tell how it will turn out. I wish I had known that prior to spending that much money. I still have bald spots and an uneven look requiring filling in with a pencil. I asked for some portion of refund but the salon is not willing to work with me. Instead they suggested I come back in for the 3rd fill in and of course pay for it , buyer beware !! It was an expensive lesson, won't work with them obviously and now I know to ask about their satisfaction policy. Even Great Clips gives you a redo for free if you are not satisfied and their service is only $11. read more

I got my lash extension done  here before vacation. I chose the dramatic look and it came out very ordinary. They said because my lashes are thin and short therefore they can't add more lashes on. I have gotten it done at other places and that's not true at all. They were able to attached shorter lashes on my short lashes. I felt like they didn't really want to do the work when I said it doesn't look very dramatic. I forgot her name. She seemed nice but when i mentioned about the left eye looking better than the right she didn't seem to like that. She did spend more time on my left eye and when it get to the end she was in a hurry. I would not go back here again for lashes. read more

Emmy did a great job with my lash lift. I am happy with my results amd experienced no discomfort or irritation.

I went there to get full set of volume lash ext , the girl who did them for me , asked me , what kind of look I want .. I asked for dramatic long and full look ... Two hours later... Looking at the mirror and it's look so empty and uneven !!! I got so disappointed :( some of the other girls offered to "fix" it for me ... 30 min later... Still looks the same !!!! Waist of money !!! Usually lash ext last for me at list 3-4 weeks , it's been only a week later and it's look so bad already ! The place were very clean and comfortable and the girls were very friendly .. But all that doesn't really matter if my lash ext came out like shit. read more

I think the salon could do a better job of advising customers of the varied results they could see with the microblading procedure. I ended up paying $500+ and the results did not last more than three days. I would have thought twice about splurging on this had I had any indication of the amount of clients that did not have success. I have not recommended this to salon to any friends or family. read more
