Dr. Diedre Marshall is amazing! I had a double mastectomy with her in 2012, several reconstructive surgeries since, and now go to her for my botox/fillers. I think that everyone needs to approach surgeries with a realistic perspective. She informed me of the process for my mastectomy and that I would need additional reconstructive surgeries to make me happy with the results and she was right. Her office became an advocate for me with insurance companies and I have referred family and friends to her. She is extremely knowledgeable (Stanford and Yale alumni) and is capable of being very empathetic which is a combination you don't find often in the medical profession. My experience was not the best, I would say it was traumatic, I was diagnosed with breast cancer in the right breast, but I decided to have both operations, they gave me a choice between several doctors and I chose Dr. Marchall because she was a woman, believing that this was a fact. important and that because I was a woman she was going to have more empathy with me and was going to make an effort to do a good job, the result was a tremendously botched job and a job completely poorly done, the sad thing is that they make you feel important between kisses, hugs, and words beautiful, you get to feel like family, she promised me beautiful and raised breasts as they should be and it was the opposite, despite being able to save my nipples, areola and also having plenty of skin because my breasts were big, she was not able to do a job well done, he also didn't allow me to talk about what a reconstruction was expected to be when I asked him he told me that they were going to look very nice, so I wouldn't worry that he was going to put in small, raised implants. and I trusted her and I did not question her and trusted her professionalism and integrity, and the worst thing was not that, she did not even give me an explanation from because they did not turn out as expected, she completely ignored me as if I did not deserve something better, anyone who has gone through this knows how sad it feels to go through something like this, to lose your breasts, after the chemo, to lose all your hair, the great discomfort you feel, the sadness that invades you and Just thinking that at least you are going to have breasts that, although fake, may look pretty, are the only thing that comforts you a little as a woman, and then you are so unlucky that the Doctor you choose to do something nice for you despises you and doesn't. Little did I know that buying a Miami Groupon for a Botox treatment at Marshall Cosmétique in March 2017, I would have the great fortune to meet Dr. Diedre Marshall- a brilliant (yet unassuming) plastic surgeon. Nor did I know at that time, Dr. Marshall would skillfully reconstruct my nose--a nose I managed to crush, as I slammed it against a wall at work. Yes, I was a patient that some doctors often refuse to treat. I am, what medical professionals are likely to consider, a "workers comp" case- I was not only a "workers' comp case" -- but I was also the worst type of case--a federal employee workers comp case! I went to see Dr. Deirdre Marshall for a botox application and ended up doing two other procedures. I was excited about it and happy to have found a Dr. that could help me. When asked about a filler that would make the area under my eyes smoother and less tired, I was told that there was this great procedure that would solve the problem and that it would cost me $500.00. I decided to go ahead and do it. I scheduled the appointment and once I was done with the small surgery, the assistant told me that it would be a little swollen and bruised for maybe a couple of weeks. She also told me that my under eyes would be much smoother and beautiful, and that I would be very happy with the results. Before I left the clinic the receptionist asked me for the payment and told me I owed $1000.00. I was surprised and said that I was told $500.00 and NOT $1000.00. The lady (Julie) who initially told me $500.00 came over and said very matter of fact that it was $500.00 per eye. What? Really? Who comes to do a procedure like this for only ONE eye? Why didn't she tell me that the total cost was going to be $1000? In my view this was misleading and dishonest. I had no choice but to pay it (I was still a little groggy from the sedative). I left the clinic feeling that I was lied to. The following week I returned to get the stitches out. Dr. Marshall was at the office the entire time, however, she NEVER came to remove the stitches herself, see the results or talk to me to find out how I was doing. I should have not been surprised, but I was. After a month following my procedure my eyes DO NOT look any better than before. Instead they both have pockets underneath of what appears to be an accumulation of liquid that was injected in that area. I called and spoke to Julie (The Dr's assistant) and I explained what had happened and ask that she relay the message to Dr. Marshall. She said the Dr. was busy with patients and will return my call by the end of the day. It's been days since, and I am still waiting for her to return my call. Speaking with someone else at that office at the time of my visit, I realized that I am not the only one who has complained that this Dr. only cares about making money and has absolutely no genuine concern for her patients. It's unfortunate and sad to realize that you are just a number. I went to see Dr. Marshall and decided to have her do my procedures because her clinic was located close to me and upon seeing all her accolades placed on the walls I felt somehow that I could trust her. I believe that at one point she probably did care about treating her patients kindly and with respect that any and every patient deserve, but those days, in my opinion, are long gone. Dr. Marshall has shown a complete lack of caring and professionalism. I went to see her again today in person to explain everything I stated above. She had a flat monotone expression on her face like nothing I was saying to her made any sense. She kept defending her point of view and not once was she at least sympathetic towards what I was saying. Horrible experience, but the worse part is that the procedure she did on me, actually made it worse than it was before. It's unfortunate that this had to happen for me to realize that one must be extra careful and if you feel something is off from the beginning, leave immediately. When I first saw her, something was a bit strange and I stayed. Big mistake! I will much prefer driving an hour and go to my previous Dr., who aside from being amazing at what he does, is also kind, dedicate, caring and act like a professional who is concerned about his patients. read more

I requested filler in the lips. You suggested botox around the eyes, I agreed. We were completely unaware that you were about to inject filler combined with the botox into a wrinkle, you only saw, without making us aware of your intention. My concern was to add fullness to my lips! None of my expectations were met. As seen in the photos, my lips are completely the same and I have been left with lumps on both outer corners of my eye area. I can only imagine I may have had the fullness in my lips had you used all the filler, I paid for, exclusively in the way I expected it to be used. I would not have two ugly lumps and the thin lips I wanted corrected. Your reply to my email with photos (about two weeks later) was, "not to worry, it will go away." They have not! It has been 4 months! I have lived with these two ugly lumps that is absolutely noticeable as its very often commented on. Your continued response has been to make an appointment! I am terribly disappointed in your very unprofessional replys to my emails. Your first reply to my email which included photos showing the lumps was to say how beautiful I looked without even acknowledging my concern, which was completely bizarre. My photos clearly show lumps!! It is nonprofessional, to do something to a patient without discussing it prior to doing it. Again, the lumps developed in my sister and I both. I don't believe this was a rare occurrence. You had to know this was a possibility. You knew my sister and I were leaving two days later. You knew we were not returning to Miami. You knew we only went to Miami to console my sister during her recovery post tummy tuck liposuction surgery you performed on her. Her stomach was wide open as she stuffed the open incision with gauze. Her stomach was extended to the size of a 9 month pregnant woman. She had been going through this recovery for over 3months at that point and very depressed. Its been over 5 months and she has still not recovered from her surgery. That is why we were in Miami and you absolutely knew that. You were not only Karen's surgeon, but she considered you one of her best friends so we trusted you to do your best and what would be in our best interest. At the very least my sister Shellie and I both felt an acknowledgment, an apology and some compensation for causing this, especially since you did not even consider it important to discuss what you were about to do and the potential lumps could develop. Your lack of empathy is extraordinary. You should have discussed with us the potential for lumps when doing filler. You should have asked us if we wanted filler injected into that area. You should have explained the possibility that we may require post treatments to correct any developments that may develop. I've never met Dr. Marshall. But she was more helpful to me than most doctors I have met. While vacationing in south Florida for a couple months, my seven month old son had a routine pediatrician appointment for his vaccinations. The doctor noticed his fontanelles had closed about two years too early, told us he had cranio synostosis, and urged us to get to a cranio surgeon ASAP. Within three days we were driving across the state to a cranio surgeon who informed us that our son did not have cranio synostosis but that his fontanelles were indeed closed. He didn't spend much time with us at all (after waiting in his waiting room for 90 minutes, he only spent three minutes with us.) I was left with more questions than answers. I called Miami Children's Hospital and left a message with their pediatric cranio plastic surgery clinic. The next night I got a call from Dr Marshall. She answered my questions, eased my confusion, and gave me her cell phone number and told me to text her if I had any questions. She told me she has six children of her own and she knows being a mother can be scary sometimes. She was kind and she really listened to me. If I didn't live in Seattle, I would choose her to watch my little guy's head for any changes or possibilities of cranio synostosis. Throughout the years I have spoken with her other patients and they go to her to fix the problems their other Drs. have done to them. Dr. Marshall saved my life! After having bad practice done in 2010 by another physician, I searched for years for many plastic surgeons with experience. I met with many surgeons who would not operate on me and others that I did not feel comfortable with. I even backed out from a scheduled surgery because I was just extremely scared of losing my breasts for good.
