He also performed a breast reduction to my friend's wife, which also came out good and so this is why I went to see him I had breast implants for 20+ years ago and the right one had become flat on the lower part of my breast as you can see on the picture. I went to see Dr. Pedra with this problem and big insecurity of mine. After the consultation, he told me that the implant had flipped ( I thought it was that they were already 20+ years old and was tike to change them) and that he would replace them with the correct implants so my breast would look normal and natural once again. Only weeks after the surgery, I noticed it started to flatten out once again on the same Breast so I went to see the doctor with concerns and he told me that I need to give it six months to see the final result. I explained to him that I did not want to have the downtime once again and that if it had to be changed that we should do it right away He told me that if it were his mother, wife or daughter, he would have them wait six months before doing anything because it will shape up as to how it should. Against my will, I waited. After six months, I went to see him again and I showed him how it had gotten even worse not better with time. At that point he told me he would have to change it for a firmer implant. I thought he was going do it without charging me again and when I went to schedule the surgery, they tried to charge me all over again well over $9000 When I complained and said, why should I have to pay for a job that was not done correctly the first time all over again? He then offered to pay for one Breast and told me to pay for the other one which still came out to almost $5000 I told them, that it really is an injustice, that I would basically be paying over $15,000 for a new set of breast implants if you count what I paid the first time and what they want to charge me now. I'm very upset because now I am again back to the same problem I had before I went to see him ( a flat breast) but now I'm out of pocket a huge amount of money and I can't afford to spend another 5k to get my breast redone. I kept asking her questions out of concern since this was for my nine-year-old son, who was also scared of the options that the doctor was advising the one she did decided to do causes blisters and is supposed to eat at my son's skin tissue to remove the molluscm (very painful option) It didn't work at all the bumps came back and she told me that it would go away, before we even got to the part where she applied the canthorin on the 2nd visit. the first visit was horrible she didn't want to answer any of my questions as i was persistent trying to understand how these bumps were going to be removed from my son skin since they are highly contagious. she kept ignoring me and wrote a prescription for triamcinolone to apply to his face area for 10 days at night now the doctor never said to apply it rubbing it in like lotion or to spot apply it around the contagious bumps i asked her what would this outcome be she never explained. so I just winged it out and trusted her out of desperation and just applied it like lotion on his face and body as I did that for 4 days I started to see more bumps come on his skin I panicked went on google for answers as to why more are appearing and I called the doctor she wasn't available she did call me back and just said to stop using it as I screamed letting her know it's her fault because she didn't give me clear instruction. on the 2nd visit that's when she applied the medication that causes the blister to apparently burn at the skin to remove the molluscum and she wanted to follow up in 13 days. I called the office and cancelled the appointment as her solution was useless it didn't do nothing but scar my son skin and the bumps came back this doctor is not honest and rather waste your time experimenting on kids skin everytime I went to take my son each visit I had to pay a co payment of $30 dollars it's a lot of money to me because I'm currently unemployed and it adds up quickly.I'm now back at square one searching for a new doctor that would be able to treat my son and properly educate me on this skin rash my son has so that way I can keep everyone else in my household from catching it. this skin contagious mollusucm is driving me crazy since it's so contagious and the bumps are ugly along with the new scars he got thanks to this stupid doctor!!!! btw she is so old she needs to retire her breath smelled so stank as well!!!! When she finally got around to the injection, she completely missed the cyst, injecting a hyperpigmentated area nearby instead. I brought this to her attention, asking for correction and wanting just the smallest drop in the actual cyst she missed (knowing the risk of atrophy/divot). She then got defensive saying she knows what she's doing but that she would do it if that's what I wanted. She then proceeds to empty half a syringe of cortisone into one spot on my face OUT OF SPITE. The area ballooned much more than what a "drop" would do and when I brought this up, she SMUGLY said that it was "just air from the syringe" ...as if drs don't push the air out BEFORE injecting. I am sick to my stomach with what she caused on my face. Praying it heals and goes away but it could take months or be permanent... TLDR: This is a horrible, HATEFUL, SPITEFUL individual who clearly did what she did bc I brought her mistake to her attention, bruising her ego. What an absolute quack of a doctor. I left his office with one small issue but I think the cure isn't worth the risk so i am going to soldier through for now. But, this is all preamble. i went from having to worry about dry, cracked skin conditions to burnt, cancerous, moley conditions. And, none of that would do. Since I didn't move to Miami with any doctors, I had to use Yelp in an old-school way: I needed to find a doctor. Luckily, a trusted Elite had written a review about Dr. G and being satisfied with her writing, skin and opinion, I followed suit. I'm very glad I did. First off, the office is in South Miami. This is a good thing. You know the ladies who lunch in South Miami and the Gables are not about to go around looking busted so derm practices in the area have to be on point. Secondly, Dr. G really is as nice, engaging, trustworthy, and skilled as reputed. Like I mentioned, I left a favored dermatologist in Chicago but I felt pretty instantly connected to Dr. G. She spoke of my skin history, asked all the right questions, brainstormed about the issues that concerned me most and -- greatest of all -- she listened with real empathy. For any doctor, this is HUGE and, unfortunately, some are missing this skill. Dr. G has it in spades. Her office is modern, relaxing and very cool. Her staff is efficient and pleasant and she has all sorts of cool machines that do incredible things. Four stars for now. She's pretty incredible but my Chicago doc cured/cleared something I was told could never go away and helped to give me my life back. That's a pretty high standard to meet (and I hope to never again have to have it met). This was an appalling experience, and the conduct of this surgical coordinator was downright despicable. Her behavior alone has completely discouraged me from pursuing any type of procedure with this practice, surgical or non-surgical. If this is the level of professionalism they allow at the front line of patient communication, I cannot imagine entrusting them with my care.
