I had to do a quick move across the country and needed a property manager for my home in Dublin…read more Ben is local, and I wanted someone that was familiar with the tri-valley area. From the beginning, Ben has been responsive to all my questions/concerns and has always been honest and upfront about what I needed to do and what I should expect from him as far as costs and services. He was able to find tenants within a few weeks and kept me updated on what was going on every week. His costs are reasonable and comparable to the other property management companies in the area. If you need an honest property manager with no BS, I would recommend Ben. I've been on the east coast for 2 months and everything has been great.

And he told us that he could manage the property for us. He told us he had a cleaning crew, wanted to do a walk through with us and then have us sign a contract. Since we were already overseas, I asked my agent to contact him and scheduled the walk-through with him. My agent drove all the way from Albany to meet him for the walk-through. He seemed nice and respectful during it. However, right after, he said he had to turn us down because he's too busy and he just signed up some new clients. If he had let us know earlier that he was too busy to take us, that would have been completely understandable. However, he did it in such unprofessional way where it just wasted my agent's time.

He showed me a townhome in Redwood city that I fell in love with. He was super helpful and responsive during the whole application process! Also their pay to rent online option is super convenient. My last manager only accepted checks or Venmo which was a pain. If you're looking for a rental on the peninsula I would reach out to Zack!

Communication is always timely, and I never feel out of the loop. The systems he uses make everything seamless--rent payments, direct deposit, tax reporting--it's all handled with zero hassle on my end. It's clear he values both efficiency and transparency. What I really appreciate is how Zack takes a strategic approach. He helped me price and position my rentals to attract the right tenants and maximize long-term value. His 20+ years of experience in San Mateo County really shows. There's also 24/7 support in place for any urgent maintenance needs, which has kept things running smoothly for both me and my tenants. If you're a landlord looking for someone you can actually trust to handle your properties like a pro, Zack's the one.

I write this review not as an assessment of any property, but as an honest recap of our horrid and…read moredehumanizing experience dealing with the property company behind it: M&M Property Management based out of Concord, CA. We were eventually rejected and it was the greatest thing to happen to us. To head off any attempt to discredit us as "just mad we were rejected," allow me to be up front with the context. We were far from the perfect candidates on paper, by some accounts (Especially M&M's) we were horrible. So, the rejection is ultimately understood and we agree with it. We even told them we were appreciative (and still are) they let us continue the process, despite them making it significantly more difficult on themselves. What was unacceptable was the 2 week drawn out process that lead to it while we faced a housing deadline. All the while we would be personally insulted, demeaned, ignored and ghosted, forced to jump through hoop after hoop, terms changed on us last minute despite phone calls stating otherwise, and we ultimately ended up with a proposed lease that was borderline extortion of two young adults that they perceived as desperate and would sign anything. Here's why we were bad on paper: We are recent college graduates with very little work experience, we applied with no active income but actively applying and interviewing to work, we both have rental experience but not too much (references were fine, a replacement fridge on my GF end which was results of a previous lease ownership change). Again it is not the rejection we were upset about, it was dealing with the management. Here's what we did to compensate before we were even given the OK to apply: between us we had enough in savings to pay for 3 years in rent. The property we were applying to was $1850 a month, extremely cheap for the area and one of the reasons we applied. We offered to pay 3-4 months up front, have a cosigner that made 5x rent and has very little expenses, be flexible on the lease for a 6 month trial period as per managements request. These are things we offered before anything. What started as pleasent exchanges eventually devolved into personal attacks on my parents income, personal attacks on how lazy we were for not having jobs (we were moving to work in the area and had already made significant headway), we were being told by them nowhere would accept us and they were doing us a favor (literally every other place was okay with our situation and offer). The most egregious of insults was after another bout of the property manager ignoring my calls and texts after they stated they would call me the previous day (this happened frequently). I made 3 phone calls, one in the morning, one two hours later, and another 4 hours after that in an attempt to reach them after being actively ignored and my calls declined with no word as to why. I sent one text and one email in between in a desperate attempt to reach them. My move out day was in less than a week and they were stalling. (Thankfully I decided to give up on the place during that time and found an easy replacement.) The property manager called me in a fury and insulted me telling me how lucky I am to have them, how bad of a candidate I was, and unloaded a storm of emotional issues on me because I expected them to have the minor professionalism enough to inform me what was going on. Note, I have stayed professional the entire time. We ended up with an absolutely unfair proposal of a lease. The entire lease up front, with twice the listed deposit, AND a co-signer for a 6 month lease. They were definitely ready to fleece us. After I questioned the terms, we were immediately rejected. I was delighted. Overall, good luck with this company. 10/10 would NOT recommend. So, why did I try so hard if they were this awful? Simple, in-unit washer and dryer mixed with an iron resolve.
