This is a family-owned business that takes great pride in what they offer. They got back to us immediately, offered a free estimate, and they were very accommodating and flexible dealing with our schedules. I knew I wanted a walkway to the porch that stood out and one that I could plant around to add a lot of color & character to the front of the house; they created multiple potential outlines in order to provide us with options and came up with creative ideas to fit in everything on our wish list all while staying within our tight budget. Work began and the amount of care for our home, their attention to detail, knowledge of the trade, and quality of their work was evident from day. Not only did they meet our expectations set by neighbors who had worked with them in the past, they also went above and beyond to exceed them. Aside from my shutters and door ( which was a preference, not something that needed to be done, but I LOVE it) I have him come back to fix a piece of my garage that was rotten. We discussed a few options. One being an aluminum frame. After pricing the job out, Dubs decided to replace the wood and not use aluminum because of price, so with the customer in mind, he chose to not use the aluminum because the material price has skyrocket like everything else. In my mind, what does he care, I would be paying for it but no, He chose to save me money!!!! So awesome. He told me he would do the primer and then paint after it had dried, which I was just thinking, primer one day, then come back and paint. When I came home last night, it looked like I had pulled into the wrong driveway, the update was PERFECT. I thought , wow, how did he get that done so fast?!! When I spoke to him today, he said he was able to prime and get one light coat of paint on. I told him it looked perfect and could actually leave as is. He insisted he was going to do another coat. So , while I knew prior to this second job at my house, this job really confirms the pride he takes in his work. It's sad that I am shocked to find someone that takes pride in their work but WOW!!!! I feel like when he's done with my house, it's going to look brand new. Also another thing that I was highly impressed with is that he asked me of I minded if he had helped someone else with a project while he was still doing mine. Of course I do not mind at all, this guy deserves to make money when it's available. And in no way has him helping someone else impacted what he was doing for me. Dubs knows exactly what he is doing, and his time management skills ( which I don't think I mentioned in my first review) are spot on ( not usual for a man, haha, joking!!) If you hire him, you will not be disappointed and I'm almost positive you will be rushing to give him a 5 star review as well as recommendations to friends and family. You will of found "your guy" . Also, he's young, so he's not going anywhere, still has all the energy to complete big or small jobs. Next to the work being done as expected the fact that he's on time and actually shows up on the days he says he is, is so, so, so helpful.

Last week was the second time that I had Grimaldi do work on my house. We had an issue with an arch…read morethat needed reinforced last year, and had some joist reinforcement done last week (the joys of owning an old house). Mark and everyone who worked on the house were great. Mark did a thorough walkthrough before the job to let me know what was going to be done and what it was going to cost. He set up the days where the guys would come in and they were on time and everything was cleaned at the end of each day. They did a walkthrough with me after the job to show me what was done, and Mark called me the next day to make sure that everything was done well. I hope that I do not need to have more work done to the house for a while, but if I do I will definitely give them a call.

I worked with the Grimaldi team when I moved in to my home in southern NJ back in 2016. They did…read moresome joist reinforcements, remodeled a bathroom, covered fascia boards on my roof, and repaired cracked cinderblocks. Since then, I've discovered all the things that were wrong with the job - the latest of which was today: 1) They beam reinforcements broke through my upstairs floor, so it's not level and we've had to build over and around it since (they used a steel i-beam, so not able to replace or repair easily); 2) The cinder block repairs were unnecessary- what I needed was a foundation repair; 3) They broke boards in the floor while jacking the ceiling and did a shoddy job throwing 2x4 in place that wasn't flush with the floor; 4) In the bathroom, they didn't repair the toilet properly, so I had three wax rings and a toilet that was connected to nothing (started leaking into my ceiling last week, now getting repaired properly by a plumber). 5) When they did the work, because I paid Mark up front, what should have been done in a few weeks took about three months. He'd go for long periods with his guys not showing up before they'd come back. Having now done more real estate investing and remodeling, I recognize that he was probably upside down on cash flow and was doing jobs to keep paying his guys and slotting us in where he could. There are some other items, but I strongly recommend that you look for another contractor for any serious job you do.
