Oh boy was this a lesson on checking reviews before going to a spa. All of the previous comments on…read moreconfusing pricing and chaotic scheduling remain true. I first found out about this place through xiaohongshu (Chinese app that's like Instagram and Pinterest rolled into one), and from there I added the customer service account on wechat. I was told about a $105 service for first time customers when I inquired about the 60 minute scalp treatment and mini facial. I then found their website through which I made the appointment. On the day before my appointment, I got a phone call to change appointment time due to double booking I got another phone call on the day of appointment asking me to come in earlier. The service itself was great, super relaxing, my hair and skin felt so good. During the scalp treatment, my hair was thoroughly washed and my scalp massaged by gentle hands while my body was massaged by the chair. During the mini facial, my face was gently cleansed, then I had a mask, followed by steam. Afterwards my hair was blow dried, and it felt so soft and silky. My experience ended unpleasantly, as I ended up having to pay more than anticipated - I thought I was getting the $105 first time customer service, but instead I was charged $135. Now I'm not sure what the $105 service for first time customers is and if I qualify for it. Lesson learned to be very careful and clarify prices beforehand.

My daughter has been wanting her ears pierced for over a year now (she is 6). She finally decided…read moreto do it yesterday. After some research, we decided to go to Caryl Baker Visage at Erin Mills Town Centre. I couldn't have asked for a better experience! They were absolutely fantastic. They took their time, were very understanding and explained the entire process in detail. They made me feel comfortable, but most importantly, they made my daughter feel safe and comfortable :) My daughters smile said it all. My sincerest thanks Jakki. You did an amazing job! I went here to get three piercings; two lobes and a helix. The ad on their website entails, "Get…read moreyour ears pierced for FREE with the purchase of a set of earrings at Caryl Baker Visage!" This was true for my lobe piercings, I paid $59 for the set of earrings and that's what I was charged. However, I was charged $75 for my helix piercing, in purchasing a SET of earrings that cost only $69--for a SINGLE helix. They did not provide me with the other earring in the set that I had purchased. I realized this after I had them pierced, and returned a few days later to ask about it. The employee told me that helix piercings are not, in fact, free, and the $75 included the cost of the single earring I had purchased, as well as the piercing fee that had not been, in any way, mentioned on their website. Although I'm aware that helix piercings might cost more than lobes, this was not at all mentioned during the entire process, leading me assume that they had no extra cost, which I find incredibly dishonest. This lack of transparency really bothered me as a customer, and although the attendant who pierced my ears had been generally kind and professional, I will not be returning to Caryl Baker Visage anytime soon. While it seems fine to have your lobes pierced here, I highly recommend against helix piercings, as I would not want to support a dishonest company like this one. (Not to mention that $75 is a crazy price for one piercing? Highly, highly un-recommend--especially since the piercing was done with a gun, which is known to be less safe and sanitary than a needle. I think this shows a lack of professionalism/training among employees? There was also only one employee when I went there the first time, and two (one in the front, one in the back room) the second time. Not sure why they never have many employees around? Anyways. Definitely not a great place to get piercings, you're better off trying a tattoo parlour or something).
