While Michelle does an exceptional job on eyebrows - I have recommended her to friends in the past -- she is simply unable to adhere to any kind of schedule. Her Fresha notice system keeps careful track of appointments, but apparently, it does not remind her. Over the past couple of years, I can count on one hand the number of times when she has shown up on time for an appointment. I used to find this amusing -- she would send me messages and explain traffic or personal challenges -- but this week, she simply failed to show up at all for two separate appointments. So, I never made it into the appointment. Saw a deal for skin tag removal on Groupon and wanted to try them out. Reached out to the owner Michelle to make an appointment. Was told to not buy the groupon deal and she would honor the price so that Groupon doesn't take a portion of their profit. Understandable. All for that. Everything was set a WEEK FROM NOW. Groupon sent me a 20% code the very next day and I reached out to her to see if she'd honor the new price. Boy was she rude. Don't advertise yourself on Groupon if you're going to throw a hissy fit about it. There is no difference of me buying the groupon deal and getting that price than reaching out to you to honor it. I could have just bought the deal and said nothing, but I didn't want groupon to take a portion of the business earnings. Had I bought the groupon deal yesterday, they would have still refunded me the money and let me repurchase it. Yea, it's only about $10 difference but that's besides the point. There was no reason to be rude about it. She made it seem like just because it's in her notes that the price is locked in and that if money was an issue I should take my business elsewhere. And that is how she treats potential clients. I haven't even gone in to see her . I had a mole near my armpit that turned into a skin tag during pregnancy. It was cosmetic, NON-cancerous and really bothered me, I just wasn't sure if it could be removed as it didn't stick out that much. I've never had a mole/skin tag professionally removed so I called a few dermatologists I Yelped. They quoted $300+ and wanted to do a biopsy, which I knew I didn't need. The hubs insisted on just snipping it with nail clippers, like he's done in the past. Um, I don't need a skin infection, thanks. Time went on and I found Michelle in my additional research. She's very friendly so it was easy to not stay pissed. The process was about 10-15 mins like she said. It involved basically burning it off, layer by layer. It pinched a little so she numbed it for me which helped, but I think I was just nervous. The pain quickly stopped as soon as she stopped singeing. It never scabbed but stayed red for a few days. Then one day I came across Defined Visage and with going deeper into the website I saw that they remove ski tags and at a reasonable cost. I made an online appointment and was confirmed within minutes. The parking lot can get packed depending on the time of arrival, if that happens there is residential street parking on E Atherton Street it's a short walk to the medical building. I went about a year ago to get permanent eyebrows done - I was originally thinking micro blading - BUT - Michelle let me know about the difference between that and a powder brow ... so I agreed with her recommendation and went powder brow. So happy to find this place for a brow correction! I got my brows microbladed a couple years back and after some time became unhappy with shape, unbalanced look and discoloration. If I could, I'd give this place WAY more than 5 stars. Little back story first: Last year I went to get my eyebrows microbladed by another business & they did absolutely terrible. They shaved off half my eyebrow & drew in two tails that did not follow the natural growth of my hair. When my hair grew in, I had two fish tails for eyebrows - I was more than upset, more than mad, and more than embarrassed by them. THANK FREAKING GOD I found Defined Visage. I seriously am grateful for what the owner, Michelle, has done for me. At first, I was nervous to get another procedure done, even though this was to erase my previous mistake. On my consultation day, Michelle made me feel so safe and reassured . She sat down with me spoke to me about everything, but she spoke to me caringly which I freaking appreciated more than anything. We had a good conversation that day and what makes her different than most, is that she actually listens to you and tries to help you in the best way that she good. There are places I've been to, where I've expressed what it is I liked/wanted and then they half-asslingly acknowledged what I said & pushed forward their own agenda (*cough cough* MY MICROBLADED EYEBROWS). Michelle didn't do that. I told her I lost a lot of confidence in myself and she made her mission for me to get that confidence back. So the following time I saw her, I got my stupidly hideous eyebrows fixed by her. She removed it with a saline solution, which I can't lie, hurt a bit even with the numbing. But it was alright. She kept a conversation with me the whole time so it kinda distracted me from the pain a bit & she asked me if I was okay often. I was pretty comfortable with her for the most part. Everything honestly went great. I also wanna mention that this review is long over due. I came to her near November last year, and it's now April. I stalled on this a little bit, not because of experience here or anything. I knew I had a great freaking experience, but I wanted to write this review after I was completely healed. I took a lot longer than usual to heal (even with the after care routine) but I don't put this on Defined Visage. Due to genetics, I actually don't heal as fast from wounds, injuries, & sickness. So yeh, I waited til my scars went totally away to show you guys! (I've got before & after pictures!) My confidence is completely restored again thanks to Michelle. My Groupon shows that it expires on October 19, not on September 21 like you're stating. Your failed attempt at trying to make yourself look better just shows that you are dishonest like I have mentioned. You're trying to make it look like you did me a favor by honoring an expired Groupon, but I still had almost a month to redeem it. You said I came in again on 10/2 to see you, you said that was 16 days after my procedure. From 9/24 when I first saw you to 10/2 is not 16 days. Thank you for showing that you cannot get your story straight. Also, I never stated that a touch up was part of the Groupon, I'm well aware that it is not. My issue with you is that you said you would do henna at no charge and went back on your word and didn't. My other issue is that you did a horrible job. If you felt that I didn't need henna as I was going to see you in two weeks, why did you say you would do it and told me to make an appointment? Also, the pictures you showed does indeed show my complaint that one eyebrow is darker than the other and the shape of my right eyebrow is completely off. Again, the part where my eyebrows should start, you had one looking far off than the other. You sent me a text saying you put my pictures on your Yelp page (without my permission, showing my face and full name, I might add). That has privacy violation all over it. You said my refusal was because I wanted a free touch up? My refusal is because you said you would do henna in the meantime to correct what was wrong the first time I came to see you and you didn't. Why would I trust you and come back for a touch up when you went back on your word? That's why I didn't come back. You trying to make it look like this is because I wouldn't come in because you wouldn't give me a free touch up is not the complete truth. Even though I believe someone should correct their mistake. In this case you said complimentary henna, then changed your mind and said touch up where I would have to pay for you to correct what you messed up the first time. Like I have mentioned, I discovered this about you and it was enough for me to know that you're dishonest with what you say you'll do which is why I decided not to come back and see you again. Your work on me was deplorable and you ignoring my text asking about when I could do henna when it was convenient for you on top of that is more like it. Michelle was dishonest to me. I came in for microblading and after my appointment with her, I was stunned. It was obvious one eyebrow was darker and larger than the other and it was uneven. She assured me that the color would fade even though I was concerned one was darker than the other and the shapes were different. I believed her since dyes do fade. She kept saying to trust her and she gets that all time, etc. Anyway, it did fade but obviously not at the same rate as one eyebrow is still darker than the other. I mentioned this to her and she said she would do henna to correct what was necessary and to just make an appointment. I made an appointment and made my way all the way there again and she said she would not do henna since I am still healing but to send her a picture in a week and she will do henna since I will be more healed. In the meantime, just put on makeup as at that point, I was healed enough to put on makeup to not risk infection. Kind of defeats the purpose of getting microblading if I still have to put on makeup on my eyebrows everyday. I texted her about henna since she said she would do it and I don't want to put on makeup on my eyebrows everyday (exactly why I wanted microblading done) She pretty much ignored my text since I didn't hear back from her until over a week later and it was in regards to getting a touch up that she said I would have to pay for. 1. She said she would do henna but is now telling me to schedule an appointment for a touch up that I would have to pay for when she messed up in the first place and never did the henna she said she would do. I mentioned this to her and she said she was busy with a client "best of luck" she would talk to me when she's done with her client. Still haven't heard back. Not surprised since she ignored my text about getting henna for over a week just to come back and mention getting a touch up with her. She did a horrible job, I know it, everyone who sees me on a regular basis has told me she effed up, she knows it to, but she won't admit it. She's probably going to make excuses saying, "People's bodies respond to dye differently." Well, if that's the case, one eyebrow got the dye, and the other didn't. It's not my body, more her application of the dye or lack of. Her next excuse, "You weren't a good candidate for microblading." Even if I'm not, look at the pictures of my eyebrows, it's her deplorable work as my eyebrows don't look even. The spot where both of my eyebrows begin are way off and she missed a part of the arch and my tail on my right eyebrow. read more

First off, let me say that I absolutely love my new ombre tattoo brows! I have pretty full eyebrows to start with but I suffer from alopecia and I lose spots of hair, even in my brows. My brows are nicely shaped but I wanted clean lines, a slightly higher arch and even color - without make-up (because I won't do it). Michelle did my eyebrows using the ombre technique, to correct a so-so microblading job that I got elsewhere in December 2016. At first, I was very nervous because the ombre technique is done with a tattoo machine and all I kept imagining was me looking like one of those meme's of the girls with sharpie eyebrows. Michelle took the time to explain to me that the ombre technique mimic's the look of powder, to give you the clean lines - done-up look. Before she started any work, she shaped my brows using pencil and meticulously measured and adjusted to ensure that my brows were to my liking and symmetrical. I was impressed at how much time and care she took to make sure I was in love with the shape - never once did I feel rushed or did she take offense if I wanted the shape a little different. Once the shape was perfected it was time to start the procedure - I was so nervous about the pain but she assured me that she would numb me along the way and would take her time . During the procedure I did feel some pain , but on a scale of 1-10 (10 being the most painful) - overall it was about a 2. Some areas were a 1 and others were a 4 but she did a great job at applying the numbing cream to dull any pain. She has a very gentle touch and after my nerves settled it was *almost* relaxing, LOL. After we were all finished, I was kind of shocked because my eyebrows looked soooo dark! I kinda freaked out. Michelle explained to me that the pigment would fade roughly 30% within the next 2 weeks. Honestly, looking at my eyebrows I thought - OMG, I have sharpie eyebrows!! She showed me several before and after pictures and assured me I wouldn't have sharpie eyebrows. Fast forward, within a few weeks they had lightened up and blended in perfectly with my natural brows - giving me that powder effect. I just got my 4 week touch-up a little over 2 weeks ago and perfection!!! I get so many compliments on my eyebrows and when I tell people that I had them tattooed, I get sideways looks and they say: Really? I can't even tell. Yep, folks - she's that good! read more

I received the henna treatment for my brows, since my eyebrows are light in color I figure this treatment would dye my brow hair and make my brows stand out in a natural way and it surely did. I will warn people that during the first couple of days the henna does dye your skin for a bit (about 3 days) if you have tough skin and aren't bother by people calling you "Uncle Leo" then this treatment it's for you but I myself did not mind. I'm an active girl so I do sweat and this henna is so good that sweat doesn't affect it, so basically waterproof even in the shower. Now it's been almost 2 weeks since I got this treatment and I love the idea of not having to fill in my brows every day. I will definitely get this treatment again once my brows even out in growth. I'm not trying to leave necessarily a bad review, I just wanted to share my experience in case there are any women out there who can relate. I previously got very bad microblading work done and contacted Michelle about her Saline removal technique. I met with her a couple of times to discuss and she convinced me that she could remove the ink I had with Saline tho it would take a few times and be a process which I understood. I had previously been to a laser removal place and they told me they didn't do anything on the face so I kind of felt that this was my only option. Michelle told me that laser would be a bad route to take and Saline was the best way so I went thru with it. The saline removal was super painful because you have to literally break the skin to deposit the saline. During the healing process I didn't even want to leave my house my brows were complete scabs painful and uncomfortable for about 2 weeks. After where she did it it was just bright red and irritated for almost a year. I contacted her to tell her how red it looked and that it didn't look right and she responded that the redness was the ink and it would take another few times for it to go away. I didnt think that it was the ink and didn't feel like this was the only way so I contacted Newhope Laser and met with them and they told me that they could laser it and it wouldn't scar or leave scabs like the saline since laser doesn't break the skin. I tried to meet with Michelle before I got the laser to show her how red it looked and she agreed to meet with me. I drove 30 mins from my home to meet Michelle at the office and soon realized that no one was even there. She never even showed up or contacted me to let me know she wasn't able to make it. Like I totally get it shit happens but it's just super unprofessional. Anyways I noticed a lot of scarring on my left eyebrow from the saline and it's really bad and embarrassing. I've gotten 3 laser procedures since and the ink is almost completely gone. If you are wanting to get rid of your micro blading and thinking of doing saline I would contact Newhope Laser on Beach and get it done where it won't scar or ruin your skin. read more
