The space has a beautiful scent that puts you at ease as soon as you walk-in. I had a signature facial and it really set a new standard for a facial for me. The facial and upper body massage relaxes you, I can't imagine not having a facial with such a nice neck/shoulder/arm massage again. The products they use don't have a strong fragrance -- every detail was perfect. They do give product recommendations after the service but there's no pressure and it doesn't feel sales-y or uncomfortable the way it can at other salons. Highly recommend my facialist Amy!

I also appreciated that she wasn't pushy with the products and said I will email you what I recommend. My skin looks bright and clean. I also got some chocolate to take with me which was a nice touch. I will be back. Worth every penny.

I had a…read morelot of extractions done during my facial, and my skin broke out horribly in the weeks afterward. It felt like far too much was done at once, especially for skin that was already acne-prone and sensitive. I was also sold a moisturizer for around $60 that ended up making my skin red and irritated. I'm sure others may have a different experience, especially if they don't struggle with acne or sensitivity, but I really wish I had listened to some of the other reviews before going. I was already considering Accutane beforehand, and my skin became so much worse after this facial that I'm now on it. Please be cautious if you have reactive or acne-prone skin.

I had such a phenomenal experience with Ikumi. She also included a brief neck and shoulder massage. After the facial, I had some red spots which was expected due to the extractions. I intended to go back so I decided to purchase the 5-session package (~$970 tips not included).

So I don't care if J Amie day spa relocates to even the moon I'll somehow follow them to continue my waxes with them. They work fast and make sure they get even the stubborns hairs. The place is cozy nice and clean. I love the staff they are all awesome. The prices are great compared to other big name companies. I recommend you use cash or Zelle they don't use credit cards. I've only done the waxing with them. I eventually will try their skin treatments and will re-review them. I love Working with Angela and Olga thank you for always making my waxes so smooth.

My goal is to visit them all. Saturday March 28, 2026, I visited the Bryant Park (NYC) location with my homegirl (she lives in Queens) We were excited to have a girls' day and catch up with each other!! We were greeted upon arrival and offered water. It was a short wait for our estheticians and our facials soon began. I felt very much at ease and she really knew what she was doing. My homegirl and I both got the Seasonal Hydrating Facial with the Oatmilk Mask. I added the Custom Jelly Mask as well. My facial was sooo relaxing and my skin came out feeling so refreshed. She really listened to what I needed for my skin. I always feel so refreshed afterwards. My homegirl loved her facial and the results. She was amazed at how well her skin looked afterwards. We will definitely schedule another facial soon.

I had an experience here that made me uncomfortable enough that I no longer feel comfortable…read morereturning to this location. During my facial appointment, the esthetician asked for my personal Instagram. When I opened my eyes during the treatment, his phone was directly in front of my face, and my name had already been typed into the Instagram search bar. I was caught off guard and wasn't sure whether this was something that was considered appropriate or customary at the studio. He also asked me several personal questions during the appointment, including about my ethnicity and what part of the city I live in. Afterward, he messaged me on Instagram, and asked if I wanted to go to karaoke sometime. I understand that some conversation during an appointment is normal, but the combination of these interactions made me uncomfortable, particularly because I was there as a client receiving a service. I contacted management via email and tried to call to make them aware of what happened, but after weeks without any meaningful follow-up, I feel it is important to share my experience. On top of this, I received the hydrating facial, but by the following morning, I had dry, peeling patches on my face and ended up needing to apply Aquaphor to soothe the dryness, something I normally never need to use on my skin. I'm not writing this to make a bigger issue out of the situation than necessary, but I believe clients should feel comfortable and be able to expect appropriate professional boundaries during appointments. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here.
