Enclosed Back Patio Quick background - We have had a…read morescreened-in patio since moving into our house in 1983. In 2001, we replaced much of the wood and installed a 28" slab wall. My wife fabricated the screens. The last improvement was made in 2011, when we had heavy screens fabricated with eyelets and attached them with cap screws. After all these years, we decided to make this a functional room year-round instead of Mar - May/Oct - Dec. As we know, it is always easier to build new than to reconstruct. It's a 200 sq. ft. space with good wood, foundation, etc. We went out for three quotes, including Desert King Windows, which we had replaced all our windows with back in 2010. They came in as the best price, but what was most appealing was how straightforward it all was. It was not a simple project. We required to not have any wood showing other than the very top. It was explained how they would foil wrap the beams and ledge. We were given options for the windows and doors with no price haggling. Since they were our last quote, we were satisfied to advise on the spot that we wanted them to do the project. Days later, Johnny came over for exact measurements, to engineer the project in terms of how many windows, which beams would be removed/moved, exactly how the foil would be placed and installed, and the like. A few days after that, the owner, Jayson, came by with Johnny and the sales rep, Don, to give a final look over and to make sure we were "all on the same page" before the order was submitted for fabrication. The project was scheduled for 6-8 weeks, which occurred. It was expected to take three days, but the crew led by Jose finished it up in two long days. My wife, who has had a complete bathroom remodel redone, was extremely happy (this was her ideal and project), which is telling. I have attached before (after the screens were removed) and after pics, which show the transformation. Oh - and to be able to use this year-round - we added a mini split, and thus far, with the type of windows and doors, it hardly needs to run to keep it cool. Yes, we still have the real summer to evaluate it out.

He helped us choose the window and patio door that was best for us. He explained the process and told us what to expect. The installation actually happened two weeks sooner than we expected and we were able to have them installed before the summer heat. The installation team, Nate and Colby were fantastic. Clean, courteous and as quiet as possible. Their tools made noise (they can't help that) but they spoke in soft voices and the disruption was absolutely minimal. They took an extreme amount of care during the installation and now the window and patio door look and operate perfectly, and they are perfectly sealed. They used such care that I don't even have to do touch up painting on the window trim! The new Amlin window and door are such a huge improvement. Our AC now runs much less and our house is much quieter. If you are struggling to decide, just go with American Vision Windows. You won't be disappointed.

Without yelling or screaming about what just happened, I pulled out my iPhone and asked Siri to find me a window installation company to come repair my window. I came across LumberJack Windows & Doors- loved the name and the branding, and that it is a family-run company. I did a little more digging and found they didn't have any Yelp reviews (til now!) but had 7 really good Google reviews so I gave them a call. Bethany, the (sister) office manager, answered right away and was super friendly. She set me up with an appointment with Michael, the (brother) estimator, to come and take a look at the damage, as the basketball goal appeared to have damaged the frame of the window in the tumble. Michael showed up on time and checked out the damage and gave me a few options--ranging from the cheapest fix to more energy-efficient upgrades. While we were chatting, he mentioned we might even qualify for a rebate from the state if we decide to upgrade all the windows in the house- sounded a bit too good to be true but checking into it I actually found I could benefit so I'm looking into that separately- I can update the review if I move ahead and find out more. They fixed the broken window with a temporary fix while we get the new ones installed which was nice. I recommend you give them a try.

beware! we spent alot of money in this store. one of the doors we bought kept locking me out . i…read morecalled and at first got the run around. i had to push the issue then they sent a tech who did not know what he was doing. he finally fixed the door... only to have the screws sliced and not put in correctly. i sliced my hand closing the door! the door is showing detoration. they claim its from my misters however we have used them twice for parties. which has never been an issue with our other doors at our other home also have had them with no issues we get storms in maricopa and our door gets wet... they are fine with selling a 3800 door that can't get wet, locks you out and cuts you. they careless after they take your money. originally i should of had them take everything back because the intial installation they did wrong. and the big door in the back was not supposed to have a key in and key out. they messed up on my blinds color too. tried to blame me for the issue. since it had a hint of a different color i let it slide but come on after taking almost 10,000 from us do the right thing. fix the door correctly ... dont sell crap. Edit comment based on owners response : First and foremost when I initially called your sales associate attempted to rush me off the phone and then claimed they could not find the order. I had to pull up a reciept and push the issue. Then someone else got on the phone and said maybe i should call a lock smith. You guys were not extremely helpful at first untill i almost broke my ankle trying to climb out my backyard to get into my house....again the misters have been on twice for a party maybe 3 hours each time.... we had them with our other property and your doors no issues.... your door has issues.. .we have multiple doors that we purchased from you guys on this property and none have these issues just this one. Even your tech said the door unhooked at the bottom and he did not know why. When we looked at the door i saw the rust. Theres something wrong with the door! I had to climb my wall to get out of my backyard because it locked me out. Sorry a 3800 door should not be doing this. Then after he left he did not screw the screws in properly and i got a bad cut from him stripping the side of the screw and not fully screwing it in flush! For the shutters I was shown something and did sign something however what was installed was darker then what I actually picked. When they showed up to install the lady had a huge attitude and practically argued with me . She then presented me something and it was not what I had picked she claimed it was. I dont know your process but it also did not match what was installed! You guys need to do better. Just know you have lost a customer whose whole family has been coming to you for years ... guess I learned my lesson next time ill be at Lowes getting doors that actually open and close.no recommendations coming from me!
