Before starting to work on your car, they do a thorough car inspection so you don't spend money where you car doesn't need it. From what I've seen, they seem to have an very clean aesthetic to their work. This isn't your typical 'pimp my ride' shop... They spend great effort in making everything look like it belongs with the design of the car.

I contacted Steve a few months ago to solve some nagging issues with brakes and steering on the '70 Mustang convertible I've had since high school that is gradually evolving into a badass ride. I usually work with a shop closer to home that is convenient, has experience with Mustangs literally from 1965-, does great work, but is a little less custom oriented. I chose EBMC after seeing their work at a Good Guys show and it helps that the owner has the same year Mustang and the same steering rack that I do! Pro tip: take your car to a shop where the owner drives the same ride you do. I got a shop tour where I was impressed with the cleanliness and professionalism of the shop - there were a few details I was impressed with, like a spoiler integrated with the trunk lid on a customer's car done in real metal that was way better than a lot of the fiberglass jobs I've seen. These guys can do great metalwork on your ride if you need it. After dropping it off and getting a thorough inspection, they noticed a few odds and ends that weren't buttoned down right and a few bigger issues. They fought with the steering rack manufacturer for a solution on my behalf, and we couldn't get anything from them since the rack was older and my steering radius issue came from the steering stops, not the rack itself. I know it's a good product since, well, the owner runs the same rack. Brakes were dealt with with an eye to safety - they made a better brake pushrod and diagnosed a master cylinder that was too large. The brakes are a lot safer than before and have a nice gradual modulation to them. New brake lines were made because the old ones were deteriorating and pushing junk into the front right brake piston. Some carb tuning was done, and after it warmed up on a cold morning after sitting for a week it ran like a dream. Bottom line - Steve and Jeff and their team smoothed out some of the rough edges on my ride and I know I'll be back for more as I get closer to finishing the project. I can't think of a better bunch of guys in the area to help it along.

Best experience at a garage in quite some time…read more I called VL Motorsports up to get some damage to my Miata taken care of after being rear-ended. They were patient and kind over the phone as I described my situation, and very flexible about me coming in to have them take a look. I finally made it in last Friday, and I was immediately impressed by the cleanliness of the facility and the quality of finished cars in the front lot. They took their time in understanding my needs and describing what my options might be, then I left them the keys. 4 hours later, they completed a full inspection, unfortunately finding that my car would most likely need to be totaled. Now, in most garages I've been in, this is the beginning of a very stressful experience involving insurance bureaucracies, wrangling a new car, and potentially losing a bunch of cash. But Richy and Michael couldn't have done more to assure me that they'd help things go as smoothly as possible. They've even offered to help me find a new Miata for a good price. I think VL Motorsports has a bright future. These guys have their customer service game on lock, and most importantly to me, they know Miatas. AWARENESS: After purchasing my 5th Wheel earlier this year,…read moreI noticed, when attached to my truck, the nose of the 5th Wheel was approximately 7 inches too high from my trucks bed. I had several solutions to correct the issue; the first was to have the 5th Wheels king pin box raised up and the second, have have my trucks hitch rails lowered (flush mounted) to the bed of the truck. These two fixes would lower my trailers cap approximately 6 inches overall. When asking friends of a good place to have my trucks hitch done, Manteca Truck Accessories came up from each friend. NARRATIVE: Before my visit, I called ahead and explained my issue to Louis. He scheduled my appointment and a few days later, I took my truck in. After looking at my trucks hitch mounting, Louis told me they had several ways to drop the hitch. One was mounting an after market rail system which the manufacture offered. The other was to change out the hitch entirely which to me, wasn't an option. While still with Louis, he made numerous phone calls to the manufacture without luck. He also made calls to some of his other business partners who also count help. In fact, those people kept directing Louis back to my hitches manufacture for the answers. After about an hour with no luck on the phone calls, Louis told me he would email the company in hopes of getting a response and sent me home on his promise to find the solution. As I got on the freeway headed back home, I received a call from Louis telling me the manufacture called him back. He Asked about the parts needed. Was advised the company did have the parts but, they had to be ordered. Louis then set me up for a future appointment date but told me, he would call before the date with the cost of the parts and his labor. A fews days before my next appointment, Louis kept his promise and called me back. He gave me the price of the parts with the labor cost and asked if I wanted him to continue the work. I agreed and later dropped my truck off for service. SCENE: Manteca Truck Accessories is located in the city of Manteca on N. Main Street. The major cross streets are; W. Edison Street and W. Louise Ave. EVIDENCE: As you can see by the before and after pictures of my trucks 5th wheel hitch, the work performed was solid, well thought out and clean. From what Louis told me, one of the securing bolts was too hard to reach so, they actually had to drop the frame in order to secure the rails. RECOMMENDATION(S): I had no issues with the work Louis or his guys at Manteca Truck Accessories performed. In fact, I really appreciate the "above and beyond" Louis did finding the answers and keeping me informed about the solution. Well done!
