I have my choice of mall's to go to as I live in a central area. I had to do some errands in this area and needed to get mac make up. My complaint is not the "gettoness" oe the crime in the mall. Let's face it guys. There is crime all over Houston. Pros of this mall: 1 it's a clean mall 2. There is a larger space than most Cons: The selection in the stores are very scarce! Barnes and noble did not have the variety of fiction books. All I saw was romance and teen fiction. Seriously! !! Dillards did not have a mac counter. So maceys here I come. Maceys did have a mac counter. But selections on other things were horrible! read more

While I'm not really a mall person, Deerbrook Mall is conveniently located and has a good variety of stores, including a fairly large Barnes & Nobles, an AMC theater, Picture People and more. The surrounding mall grounds also have a large Hobby Lobby, a number of nice restaurants, and, if you include the area right across the freeway, you are within a 2 minute drive of pretty much every store you might need to shop at. If you will be shopping or watching a movie that gets you out after dark, it's safer to park under the AMC theater and always be aware of your surroundings. We made the mistake of parking in a side lot one evening when going to see a movie and felt very uncomfortable/nervous having to walk back after dark through several groups of rowdier teens hanging around outside. There were a number of cop cars at key points keeping an eye on things, so that makes it a little better, I guess, but in my opinion, try to avoid the after dark hours if possible in this area. Otherwise, this is a very nice mall. P.S. If you haven't already, you have to try one of the smoothies at that smoothie shop outside the AMC theater and be sure to get the Tapioca Balls. I wish that you didn't have to wade your way through the mall; through the dozens of tweens just to get the movie theater, especially since they've moved the escalator from the center of the mall to the end of the mall. Arrgghhh! read more

Avoid those cookie kiosks..they are dangerous. This mall is getting more crowded by the year. I have been going to this mall since the 90's and it has come a long way with a ton of upscale shops like the Coach Store and Ann Taylor. If you HATE teenagers go M- Th during the daylight hours. Thank you Deerbrook Mall for existing! The other option near our hotel was not...a valid option to purchase clothes during out layover/lost luggage fiasco. We were luck to have found this mall on Yelp and hired an Uber to take us here. In less than an hour, we quickly combed through the mall and found some great deals. Planning in advance of potentially never seeing our luggage again, we purchased enough for 3 days/nights and a bag to carry all our new loot in. It was easy to navigate the mall and there are some good stores to choose from. It's very clean and the stores that we visited were well maintained. read more

I enjoy coming to this mall. Very big mall always clean and busy. They also have a AMC theater inside so that's a plus.

Deer brook mall is very close to my home. so, I visit this mall a lot. I never have a problem finding what I'm looking for and the movie complex is very nice. There are a lot of stores with a very nice selection inventory. During the Christmas holidays the Santa looks likes the man on a miracle on 34th street.., during Easter the line are lined up for a picture with the big bunny.. I love the Barnes and Nobles the best.., they always have what I'm looking for and if not it's there in about 2 days.., love this mall. read more

Deerbrook Mall has gone down in quality since we moved to the area in 2009. I'm hopeful that the upcoming new anchor store will help improve overall shopping in the area. The Coach store, referenced in another review, closed quite without warning in January of 2015, and quite frankly there is nothing to drive our family to visit the mall. It's an average mall. Nothing outstanding in the area of restaurants or stores. The play area is abysmal, and was always so crowded and so unorganized, I did not want to let my daughter play when she was younger. Perhaps some of the new neighborhoods headed our way with the Grand Parkway expansion and the Exxon campus coming to the Woodlands area will bleed down to Humble and improve conditions at Deerbrook. It is in sore need of attention. read more

Even though I live 8 minutes from The Woodlands mall, I often like to come to the Deerbrook mall instead. I might be just a bit biased with this review and here's why: I grew up in the Humble area, so I have fond memories of coming to the mall with my family and my friends. It's nostalgic to me so I guess that's why I enjoy coming here so much. I've never been scared like other people have claimed to be. It's not a bad area and I wouldn't call it ghetto either. It's just more of an average area, unlike the snobs in The Woodlands -I worked there while I finished college, so many entitled people!- anyways, there could be some improvements to certain areas of the mall, but overall when I have time I will continue to make the drive to come to this mall. Also! The best nail lady works there! She's located at the entrance of the movie entrance side. Her name is Jenny. Go check her out! read more

It's a good mall the only complaint is that the movies are right next to the food court which makes me want to watch a movie after eating. But besides that it's a great mall the GameStop there is well organized and the staff isn't rude. read more

First off, I do not have anything to give even one star for.... But nevertheless I went into Victoria secret as I always do and for some ungodly reason I asked to speak with the manager on duty. After Brandy(the lingerie manager) couldn't talk to me directly; she spoke indirectly to me threw the associate. I asked her why could I not use my coupons and she proceeded to continue to ignore me. So I asked if their was another manager on duty since she couldn't and wouldn't assist me. I informed her this is the third time I've given them( that actual location another try and they still chose to fail with me. No professionalism, gave wrong number to corp office and ripped up my coupon and wrote on it saying it could still be used. I informed her that there is no way another store would authorize a torn up coupon. She then (Brandy) tapped the coupon back together and her attitude and customer service got worse from there. This location will not not get my service again! DONT GO TO THIS LOCATION AT ALL!!!! read more

It's a good mall... great even. Good shops, great food court. The AMC is the theater of choice in the area. However, pricey, across the board. It's not the Galleria or the woodlands mall. And yet, they feel they can charge as much as them this is a mall catered to mostly low to middle income households. But their Prices don't support said demographic. Good mall otherwise. read more

Over the years this mall has really gone downhill. When we moved here over twenty years ago, the mall was clean and well kept and there was a pleasant selection of stores. But it's been declining into a dirty and more dangerous environment at an alarming rate. There are plenty of stories on the news about shootings and robberies happening in the mall and its parking lots, enough to where I no longer go there at night for any reason. The movie theater was its main appeal, but now that there's a cinema on North Park, there's less reason to set foot in Deerbrook at all. It just isn't anywhere near what it used to be, which really makes me sad. read more

This mall is NOT safe at night. My sister was robbed at gunpoint at this mall, and I have had other friends get hurt or robbed there as well. The stores are ok but in general it feels dirty. They have made some improvements over the last two years but I would never recommend going here at night. read more

Don't even bring your kids to this play are in the deerbrook mall, they never clean it. Its disgusting, I took my child there and too many kids were unattended and some kids were even blocking the tree area which had a slide so some kids were pushing others and I called security but they did nothing just stud there not knowing what to do. Also the airport is right around that area many people bring there kids from places all over the world just think of the kind of germs your baby is exposed to what if there is an outbreak, for your children's safety don't bring you kids to the toddler tree house in the deerbrook mall. read more

AMC Movie Theater - not a good trip. Burnt popcorn, let a lady in with food then when I walked up with my bag they wouldn't let me in and had a cup from last visit told I could get refill when presenting cup told no you can't get a refill then purchased another cup went back and was told have to purchase a new cup for $4.75. Will be going to Edwards or Regal theaters from now on. Then being honest; paid for second movie and was treated as if I was trying to be dishonest, let's just say the right thing is not accepted at Deerbrook AMC. read more

I visited the Mall on Saturday 8/19/2017 at around 12:30pm, I forgot a small Dillar nylon shopping bag (it also has a JCP nylon bag inside) on the black bench across from Sears on 2nd floor. Ms C. Williams at the Mall's security office help me to find out what happened with my bag. From camera in the security office, we saw two ladies (one in pink shirt with pants and one in grey shirt with shorts, one carried a white bag) picked up the Dillar's nylon bag. Although the bag has not yet been turned in, I appreciate Ms C. I love coming here cause its so close to home. They have absolutely lots of stores, I've never see a Forever 21 store these huge anywheres. The fact that there's a 24 AMC Theater in the mall which me and my family come to see movie's here...yeah ppl say its full of teenagers but what malls isn't full of teenagers.. crimes, well there's crimes ever where you go don't matter where you go. I just love coming to these mall... One day me and my family were at the mall when a lady lost her kid and the whole mall was helping her look for her kid and including the TEENAGERS, I've never experience something like that before. You will only find me at Deerbrook Mall in the am. There's only one way to enter and exit the place and it's right next to a freeway, so imagine what Christmas time traffic looks like at the peak of the day. Even around 10 am, the parking lot is full because somebody decided to renovate the mall and take up half the parking lot near the movie theater for this construction--DURING THE HOLIDAYS?! Not very smart. Otherwise, the mall is pretty nice with a bunch of stores you've heard of to spend your money and shop until you drop. I'm not a mall person, so I usually go into the department stores and come right back out. Most of the time, my only motivation to walk inside the mall was to get to the movie theater, which is pretty big, but hidden behind the horseshoe food court. Tends to get very crowded due to the limited space, which is why I deducted a star. For a mall, it'll do for most, I just tend to like a place with more than one entrance and exit. read more

This is not the nicest mall but it's the closest in the area. It has the basic stores. The JC Penny's has a Sephora which is great! It has a cool game store that carries old games, Gundam's and a couple makes duck tape wallets etc. AMC movie theater inside is cool also (I'm not a fan). I typically avoid malls due to large crowds and an overabundance of teenagers, but sometimes you just have to go. This mall really isn't too different from most malls. They have made some changes in the past few years that have improved it, but it still doesn't really compare to Memorial City. The department stores aren't as up to par and the movie theatre is dirty and full of screaming kids in R-rated movies. I'd say go elsewhere unless it is just a quick trip. read more
