If I could give this place a 0 star I would!!! I've been coming to this office for 10+ years and I have always loved the staff always friendly and that's what made me come back, not the DR because he's rude and doesn't create a relationship with patients, he only cares about making $ and going on to the next patient! Always on a rush! The new staff he has are all under-qualified dental assistants, he obviously hires anyone at this point!!!! And to top it all off I got a horrible cleaning the dental assistant got me soaked!!!!! I walked out with my shirt drenching in water! As if that wasn't bad enough I later get a bill from my insurance and states I owe them for stuff i didn't even get done!!! Update: After treating the other tooth with a specialist, the pain got better but there was still some slight discomfort on the tooth that Dr. Deepak did a root canal on. We are going to a new dentist now and they want to retreat the root canal done by Dr. Deepak because again, it was done very poorly. Dr. Deepak had also previously said that the root canal might not work and the tooth may be lost. This new dentist said that he doesn't think the tooth will be lost, if anything just a retreat should fix the discomfort and pain caused by the poorly done root canal. So far 3 other dentists have told us the complete opposite of what they told us at Dr. Deepak's office! This is proof that Dr. Deepak is a terrible dentist who is just money hungry! read more

This "Dentist" drilled a hole in my front tooth to help hold a minor crack but did not seal the hole so as years went by, I noticed discoloration in my tooth and went to a Dentist to find out I had a cavity in my front tooth from all of the food particles that went in that hole. A few weeks later, after I found that out, my front tooth chips almost entirely off. Now, I have a crown on my front tooth because of his unprofessionalism. I was referred here for root canals and after he did them instead of fitting them with temporary crowns and setting up for permanent ones after he put in temporary fillings which all fell out and all 3 root canal teeth broke so all three need to be pulled! oh and the last one he did i felt the whole thing and kept telling him but he ignored me until i almost jumped off the table! If I could give DOUBLE ZERO I would. Run don't walk from this horrible so called Dentist office. Yep, just like other reviews ZERO customer skills, ZERO friendliness, same rough handling, ZERO professionalism, ZERO care for the patient from making an appt. to being "seen" by the female who didn't give her name clearly as she mumbled it with my back to her. The only thing she said was "what are you here for?" & I told her. Their website CLAIMS "SAME DAY CROWNS"that's baloney, ....the female Dentist (?) told me 3 weeks ...they send to a lab she said. No EXAM WHATSOEVER...ZERO. She did decide to put 2 DOTS of filling material in 2 facial fillings that needed eventual replacement but not that day...& never discussed it with me. They would not have been the 2 that I would have chosen. She never even looked in my mouth or did a real exam....certainly not the exam they CLAIM to do on their website. The only thing she said was "what are you here for?" & I told her. My teeth cleaning? NON EXISTENT...She pulls out the drill to do a quickie, dentist clean & I said No way...that tool hurts me. I want a traditional cleaning. She then told the gal next to me to just polish my teeth & she was outta there. I asked for a mirror to see the 2 dots of filling she did and she told me I could go look in the bathroom mirror... I got a polish, no tartar cleaning & if I didn't ask...I would never have gotten dental flossed. They couldn't get me out of there fast enough. When I made appt I was very clear and friendly..."exam, hopeful cleaning, had XRays from 8 months ago but they insisted on whole new set, and needed my 10 month old broken crown examined. The rude, young lady making my phone appt. told me they would only have time for an exam...MAYBE a cleaning...mostly just a "new patient" exam. I asked for my XRAYS to be emailed & gave her my email address to reception...of course I haven't received the promised email with them. Also, she stuck a tip with numb medicine & injected me before numb & drilled before numb...TG it wasn't a cavity...! This Dentist is listed in the Medical-Cal dentist directory...accepting new patients. His awful behavior towards me..for being a Medi-Cal patient was clear & obvious...from all of them...extremely condescending to say the least. Oh, the girl at reception refused to take my Medi-Cal card...just my Medicare...lol! good luck getting paid...just kidding... NOTE: I made a HUGE COMPLAINT with Health Plan of San Mateo...all of the above was documented. If any of you who experienced what me & several others have at this office...please be diligent and complain to HPSM (Health Plan of San Mateo) or your Medi-Cal office. I had a root canal done here about 1.5 years ago. Initially, I thought it was done well hence the good review I left a year ago, but after examining the x-rays, it becomes evident that that is far from the truth. A second opinion revealed that the root canal and the crown were done terribly, other doctors were shocked about how bad the root canal and crown was. My tooth is now infected and I've been feeling tremendous, unbearable amounts of pain that radiates through my whole face and jaw. I will have to go see a endodontist now to fix this problem. I would NOT recommend anyone to come here for a root canal and I will not be returning to this office. read more

Dr. Sachdev is an amazing Dentist! He has done work on my teeth and I am extremely happy with the results. Never felt any pain during the procedure or after. I highly recommended him to my friends and family. I have been anxious about getting work done,but he has definitely made me feel relaxed and comfortable. All his staff members are amazing and they are always so kind. The office manager is always so helpful, and explains everything thoroughly. The Front and back office staff made me feel very comfortable, they are very efficient with patient registration as well as the cleaning and sanitizing and patient safety during this pandemic. - The place is run down and equipment is broken. - Receptionists are friendly. - Dr. Deepak is easily annoyed/angered/rude when asked questions. - No Novocain was used during my cavity removal nor was I even asked if I consented to a cavity extraction. He just began drilling before I could say anything. - Deepak does not give you a play by play of the work he is about to do. - Fastest and sloppiest dental cleaning I've ever had. Ultimately, if you are looking for a quick fix and don't really care about the dental work that is done, or you don't care wether or not your dentist has compassion, then this is the place for you. But if you do care and you do want a dentist that actually speaks to you and doesn't just treat you like a piece of garbage, then I seriously would recommend finding another place. Don't take a risk with this guy. I can honestly say that I've never been terrified of going to the dentist or of the actual dentist until I visited this man. Deepak K Sachdev IS INCOMPETENT. I've never had such an unpleasant dental cleaning. He rushed through, did a half-ass job, fumbled and jabbed my gums and inflicted unnecessary pain and bleeding. The phrase, "wham-bam-thank-you-maam" came to mind. I've never gotten that feeling at any other dentist ever. The negative reviews below pretty much sum up what I experienced (run-down office, etc.). I think the positive ones might have the wrong dentist here, or are biased (associated with Sachdev or the staff). I can't imagine why anyone in their right mind would call this guy a good dentist let alone "the best dentist in the world". I feel sorry for the children I saw in the waiting area. What kind of dentist office runs out of filling materiel & doesn't even know it until after you have been pumped full of Novocaine?This one does,so make sure you ask if they have their act together before they inject you.Who knew? I have always had great experiences with all of the dentists I have been treated by for almost 40 years now,until this office.The reviews I read before my 1st appointment were mixed,but I decided to give this office a chance since I needed a new provider after moving to the area.Can't please everyone,right?1st appointment was fine,but no work was done yet either. I have to drive an hour to get to this office,& on my way to my 2nd appointment I called in to give them a heads up & let them know I ran into some unexpected road construction,& the receptionist rudely warned that any more than 15 minutes late & I wouldn't be treated.I ended up only being 6 minutes late,& still had to wait quite a while to be prepped even though there was only one other patient in the office. I am finally prepped & numbed,then the assistant comes in to tell the dentist that they ran out of filling material.Everyone acted like it was NO BIG DEAL."It happens" is the sorry excuse I got.I have worked in medical settings & this is not acceptable.Someone should be in charge of checking supplies every day day & AT LEAST notify patients so that they don't waste their time coming all the way there & being injected, & so that they can reschedule to have everything done at once. The dentist (not Deepak,a woman) was only able to fill 1 of my 3 fillings.None of the tools were ready & the assistant had to run to the back to get new ones constantly,prolonging this nightmare.The only time I was suctioned was when they heard me making gurgling noises trying not to choke.I was clearly upset throughout/after,but not one employee was apologetic.I was even told that the lead dentist (Deepak) would probably be too busy to call me about the experience when I requested it.She was right,he didn't. I agreed not to post a bad review until I gave him a chance to respond,& I'm glad I didn't since his indifference when I returned was even worse than his other employee's.When I came back a week later to have my work finished (now that they were restocked on filling material) I got to meet him,& understood why none of his employees cared about my experience.At least he had the material & tools ready,& he didn't let me drown in my spit like I did last time,but that is the only positive thing I have to say about my visit with him. When he came in to meet me & begin treatment,I began to tell him about my prior visit which he quickly began to excuse,not even letting me finish sentences.He also chalked it up to "it happens."I told him that maybe it would be helpful if their inventory was checked at the end of every day,so at least patients have the opportunity to reschedule instead of having multiple unnecessary visits.My insistence that what happened was not acceptable,even if he is a busy provider,irritated him & this is when his true feelings came out. He basically said that he is the only one in the area who takes my kind of insurance (Denti-Cal),& that he thinks he won't anymore.That statement translated means,"You should be grateful for whatever treatment you get since you don't have private insurance.How dare you have expectations or complain about substandard care."He is right about one thing,if he feels that Denti-cal patients don't deserve the same quality of care that other patients with better insurance receive for the same services,then he shouldn't accept those patients anymore.He made the choice to be a Denti-Cal provider & in doing so he agreed to provide the best care he can for Denti-Cal patients. He rushed through the procedure (I don't think he even looked at my x-rays),& one of the fillings ended up falling out just a few hours later.The half-ass work he did isn't even as bad as feeling degraded & dismissed like I did when I left his office this last time.If he had been honorable enough to show some degree of accountability or compassion when I tried to communicate with him,or treat me with any dignity at all,I would've never left this review.A bad review can seriously hurt the livelihood of a business which I don't take lightly & rarely ever do it,but this office will forever make me fear going to the dentist,especially as long as I am a nobody with state coverage. I have been lucky enough to have providers that treated me with the same respect as their patients with better insurance & have heard stories of doctor's treating their state aid patients like trash,but I have never had a 1st hand experience until now.It was awful.If you have better quality insurance you have a way better chance at being happy with your treatment...but you also have to ask yourself if you really want to be treated by a provider who would allow such negligence to happen to the financially disadvantaged. read more

My recent experience with Dr. Deepak Sachdev was rated only one star because of how hurried and roughly he was with dental instruments in my mouth. I went for a routine cleaning usually done by another dentist in the office. This time I was seen by Dr. Sachdev instead. Normally a cleaning is a comfortable and painless procedure when done right. This time with Dr. Sachdev it felt like torture. He used too much pressure and was careless with the cleaning instrument poking into my gums roughly with no sensitivity to my discomfort and pain. I was shocked at his rough handed treatment! I had never before experienced this from any dentist or hygienist. At one point he punctured the roof of my mouth with the sharp tip of the instrument and the cleaning was over. I felt violated by Dr. Sachdev's roughshod treatment. I will never go to this awful dentist again or recommend him to anyone. The best thing would be Dr. Sachdev to retire and quit working because he appears burned out showing lack of professional respect and compassion towards people. There are many more reviews below confirming this is not just my opinion. One last thing. The office staff women look and act like they are working in a funeral parlor. No one greets patients with a smile if at all when waiting at the check in counter. They barely speak to you or each other. Very low energy and unfriendly atmosphere. I went her to get a nerve surgery done because the dentist said he could do it. First of all I noticed he wasn't allowed to do it because I was a minor and my nerves were still not closed. Second of all he didn't use enough anesthesia I could feel every little thing. Third of all I went to two other dentist to get it checked out and that all said that the job was badly done and that we should tell the dentist to pay for the surgery I need so I went to talk and they didn't even let me tell them. Also I have to go to a nerve specialist because of how bad the job is . And he did my sisters wisdom teeth removal and he left half the tooth in. This surgery was done 1.4 years ago and I am in pain so now I need to get the surgery done again. And he makes the holes for the cavities to big and he said he fixed all my cavities but I still have them because the dentists said they were really old so he never fixed them. This establishment is the best medical center of any practice that I've come into contact with up to date, no problems, they got right to the point and most of all I felt comfortable which is rare in this field. A few days ago an appointment was scheduled for my mom for 10/7/19. They called her on Monday 10/1/19 to let her know they were going to be closed that day and needed to reschedule. They said they had an opening for 10/2/19 at 11:30am so my mom took it. She got there at 11:15am and within a few minutes she was moved into a room. After waiting for 45 MINUTES in the room, without hearing a word from anyone, an assistant comes in and tells my mom "the doctor is running late" and asks her if she wants to reschedule for another day.... SERIOUSLY? First you change her appointment date, she drives all the way from Santa Cruz, you make her wait for 45 minutes and then ask her if she wants to reschedule for another day? Is her time not valuable too? why did you not let my mom know the doctor is running late and ask if she can wait for a long period of time or wants to reschedule? Who runs a place like this? Keep you patients informed for God's sake! Their time is also valuable! My mom was so upset she just walked out. No one called her to apologize or reschedule. When I called the office, the front desk did not even want to talk to me, she said the doctor would call me back, well, an assistant called me back (Mayela) and gave me her version of the story. She did not want to admit they made my mom wait for 45 minutes without telling her anything about the doctor running late... THEN she said, "I have to go, I'm busy, the doctor is calling me, bye" Seriously? SO UNPROFESSIONAL. Time to look for another dentist office! read more

I did not have a good experience here. The older receptionist was not friendly, she cut me off mid question and spoke very curtly to me. The dental assistants were friendlier, yet unprofessional (discussing their personal lives, ignoring my presence during the x-Ray process). Dr. Sachdev saw me for less than 10 minutes to look in my mouth, he was not at all friendly, and like his receptionist, did not seem to want me to speak at all or to answer any of my questions. He was quickly moving on to the next before I even sat up! He said they would wait on approval from the insurance before moving forward with any cleaning or the crown he said I needed. It's been over two months now with no follow up to say whether they received approval or to schedule my next appointment. Today half my tooth cracked and broke off (the one that needed a crown). I am already looking for another dentist. They don't deserve to make any money off me! Terrible bed side manner throughout the whole office. read more

I just had a root canal done by Dr. Sachdev. He and his staff are really nice and friendly which helps to not be so nervous. He checks on you throughout the dental work to make sure you are comfortable, and triple checks his work to make sure he has done everything completely and correctly. This has not been my experience with other dentists in the past. He really does great quality work and makes sure everything is right before you leave the office. I recently had my first visit with Dr. Sachdev. It has been well over 5 years since I'd seen a dentist, partly due to financial reasons and partly to an overall nervousness about dentistry. Dr. Sachdev was not only professional and competent, he seemed to sense my nervousness and took care to explain everything to me with a reasonably kind tone without talking to me like I was a child. STAY AWAY. If you have several dentists in a lifetime, one of them has to be the worst. It's a mathematical inevitability.That inevitability, for me, took the form of Deepak K. Sachdev, DDS. I cannot fault him for being slow -- he filled two cavities and gave me a cleaning in less than 30 minutes. He wouldn't stop drilling when I asked him to -- the first time I have ever asked a dentist to stop drilling in my life. His bedside manner is best described as "aggressive." I can honestly call my visit a spiritual experience, because my soul left my body. I doubt I even had a cavity -- he came to the conclusion that I had two cavities from looking at Xrays for less that 5 seconds. He declared, without examination, that i needed a "deep cleaning," which would cost $600. My little voice told me to decline, and thank the gods I did. There was no examination, beyond a glance at my Xrays. The very worst dentist of my life. I don't believe a word he says, and now have to wait another 6 months before I can have someone do it right. You know that "just cleaned" feeling you get after a visit to the dentist? Well, you won't know it after a visit to Deepak K Sachdev, DDS. He's terrible. read more

--------------------------WARNING To New and Existing PATIENTS------------------------------- Today I had my inital new patient appointment with Dr. Deepak at 11am, I walked in on time, and with a sealed unopened water bottle. After signing in at the front desk "sign in sheet," person in the front desk Rosie, told me that if I needed it to drink water, I had to do it in the parking lot. I explained to her that due to my medications(and medical condition) I needed to hydrate and constantly drink water. She said that I needed AUTHORIZATION from Dr. Deepak in order to have a close bottle of water in the lobby, she then asked the Doctor and he confirmed that Indees I had to be outside his office to have a drink from my bottle water. I am appalled by the emphizied exaggeration on something as simple as a water bottle, so I cancelled the appointment and will not be returning. I'll be looking for a new dentist office that allows patients to have a closed container of water for cases like mine. read more
