Robert at Depth Perception made me feel very comfortable so we booked with them. The communication prior to arrival was excellent we knew what to expect coming in from out of state. Once we met him in person I knew we had made the right choice. Robert is a GREAT instructor. He took the time to get to know my daughter's level of comfort in and out of the water. He is very patient, his tone of voice is very level so super easy to understand and he is very knowledgeable. I noticed that he was respected at both dive sites we went to. After completion of open water certification he made sure that the proper forms were submitted back to the home dive shop. I highly recommend Dept Perception and Robert.

I've had the engine serviced and new upholstery, as well as other trim work repaired. the upholstery looks perfect, and as if is a brand new boat. I'm in the process of having it detailed and polished as well. the marina puts your boat into the water for you, cleans it when you return from your ride, and puts it back into storage. so convenient! I highly recommend them to anyone who would like to store their boat in dry dock with all conveniences.

The side and rear camper enclosure windows were removed and tossed in the cabin instead of reinstalled, leaving the boat exposed. Rain got in and ruined my registration, insurance papers, and other documents. Medications got soaked and stained the captain's seat. That damage was preventable. Personal gear also disappeared. My docking boat hook and two dock lines were taken off my boat without permission. Crystal said they had the hook. It was never returned, and neither were the lines. I ended up replacing gear that never should have been taken. Billing was also an issue. The final amount was much higher than the quote, and I never received a clear, itemized invoice. JR installed my windlass, but the chain constantly jammed. Another mechanic later had to remove and reinstall it properly and said it was one of the worst installs he'd seen. The adjustment wrench was never returned. At the work rack, the extension cord for customer use had exposed live wire. When I flagged it, it was brushed off like it was nothing. There was also only one ladder for access; if the mechanic was using it, you couldn't even reach your boat. That's a safety and access failure. And when the office closed at 5 p.m., there was no restroom access. After all this, I was told someone would call me back. That call never came. Boaters should note that depending on tide and draft, getting out at low tide can be difficult or impossible. I expected basic competence and respect for my boat. Instead, I got damage, risks, and excuses. Boaters deserve better.

I was interested in looking at a Zeagle BCD because there is a certain degree of customization that can be done just by changing out components. I'm a big girl and found that most bcd's that fit me were built with a male physique in mind. The other thing we needed to keep in mind, we want to travel and dive, which meant we needed to find something that would fold down as small as possible. We arrived around 2:00 pm and Rick, the owner, listened to my requirements and immediately knew what I was trying to accomplish. We talked about all the models of BCDs and settled on looking at the Stiletto. Very quickly, Rick had assessed what I would need and, voila!!, I had a BC that fit perfectly. After wearing ill fitting BC's, the Stiletto felt absolutely right. To give you an idea about mixing the components to get a perfect fit, the main part of the BC is an XL. To get it where it need to be for a woman's physique, he changed out the shoulder piece and replaced it with a S. That basically brought the bottom up so it was no longer around the hips and I could get a snug fit around my waist. Once we had the BC taken care of, we worked on the other equipment I needed. Rick explained everything very thoroughly in terms of how the equipment worked, how it stacked up to other models in that line and with the competition. At the end of the day, I left with a new BCD, new regulator and dive computer, all customized the way I wanted it. Rick's shop closes at 4:00 and he worked with us until 6:00, not one time did he rush us. His personal customer service is second to none. It was a total pleasure to work with him and we are looking forward to going back to have my husband outfitted.

After doing some research, he found Darrell's Aquarium, and we decided to check it out. Parking is limited, but there's enough for customers. From the outside, the store doesn't look very large or flashy, but don't let that fool you. Once you walk in, it's a surprisingly spacious shop with beautiful display tanks full of stunning, healthy fish. I honestly expected it to be quiet, but while we were there, the front door seemed to constantly swing open with customers coming in. It's easy to see why. The atmosphere is welcoming, and Darrell greets you as soon as you walk in (unless he's helping another customer). We've also been helped by another associate--possibly his son--and he's just as friendly. He warmly welcomes you, asks if you need assistance, and is always available without hovering over you. Every fish we've seen has looked healthy and well cared for, and the prices are extremely reasonable. Tanks are clean as well. One thing we really appreciated is that if they don't have a particular fish in stock, they'll do their best to order it for you. They also run great promotions and encourage customers to follow their Facebook page to stay updated on future deals. As much as I hate to admit it...I'm actually loving this new hobby! Between everything I've learned from the staff and the enthusiasm my husband has for the hobby, I've found myself completely hooked. I never thought I'd be excited about aquarium shopping, but here we are! If you're looking for healthy fish, fair prices, and genuinely friendly, knowledgeable service, I highly recommend stopping by Darrell's Aquarium.
