Service at Deep Roots was perfect! We were waited on promptly at the counter and our food came out in a timely manner. I do have to say that the Filet Skewers I ordered was not filet but rather tough leathery sirloin. I gave up on eating after about two chunks and just ate the bed of arugula. It was very disappointing. The last time I was in I had the chicken skewers and ended up giving those to a friend I was with because it was not white meat chicken but I guess thighs which I know some people like but not me. I had the burrata the first time I visited and loved everything about it, so that is going to be my go-to next time I stop in there. My new favorite place!! I had a friend visiting me and we had to be near Woodstock. We happened to walk into Deep Roots and were thrilled with the food choices and drinks! The service was amazing. Gluten free options for me too! We proceeded to visit the next three days and I can't wait to go back!!! We loved the open atmosphere and warm greeting. It's not pretentious thank goodness! Lots of different wines in the tasting machines and they have some options that they do pour. The food is delicious and if you're gluten free, or not, you will be impressed. The basic set up is you get a card from the counter and use it at the self serve wine stations. Pours are 1oz, 3 oz and 6 oz,. Wines run around $2-10 an ounce (there are a few under and over) You will find most varieties here, and it seems all are USA wines, I'm not sure if that's just the day or customary. They have a light menu that includes flatbreads and appetizers. Service at the counter is great. Overall great place for a date, date night, or after work meetup. read more

We had a private company sponsored event at Deep Roots. A good bit of people attended. They had plenty of staff, all smiles and pleasant. They handled drink orders quickly and efficiently. Lots of delicious food options to choose from. Their charcuterie board was awesome with a variety of cheeses, meats, etc. Various pizzas with their own spin. Always up for a new date night adventure, we decided to check out the Deep Roots. What a great choice! The atmosphere and vibe is definitely a wow experience when you walk through the doors. Whether you want to have a more private setting in their living room areas, or belly up to the bar, there's something for everyone. Very smart choices in their layout and design. We decided to visit their wine wall, amazing by the way that you can have some many tasting options, it's like your own little Napa adventure in Woodstock. After tasting several great wines, we narrowed down our favorite and purchased a bottle that they'll uncork for you. Deciding to cancel our dinner plans and hangout for the evening at DR, we picked several items on their small bite menu, and like the wines, didn't disappoint. We used to live in Roswell, but it's a little far to go to the Deep Roots there, so my wife and I were excited that the Woodstock location opened. We've been 3-4 times so far and very pleased. Fun space, super friendly staff and the wine selection is great plus some good beer on tap. We've also had some food, which is great but it's also cool that they bring in "pop up" restaurants now and then, great idea. Definitely a go to for us and glad to see it in the neighborhood. read more

Walked in with my fellow wine enthusiasts & chefs and found the atmosphere to be a cross between an industrial venue and a sandwich shop. Nevertheless, we figured we'd give it the benefit of the doubt. We sampled several of the wines offered in their wine dispensers and for the most part they were decent, but a bit pricey by the glass for the particular bottles. Insofar as the food was concerned, there's just something about New York and Napa pricing in downtown Woodstock that doesn't sit well with us. We ordered the flat bread and humus and again, for the price, quality and portion, I don't see many people longing to return. However, the pièce de résistance was when we decided to order a bottle, instead of fishing at the dispensary, we were informed there'd be a corkage fee, REALLY? We're buying the bottle from the shop, you're going to charge us to open the bottle?? I really wish them the best and may visit someday in the distant future just to see if they worked out the kinks. But for now, we'll keep our distance. read more
