I've been here to apple pick, blueberry pick, strawberry pick and pick flowers. Each experience is fun and has something unique. My favorite is the apple picking. There are usually at least two varieties to choose from and the apples are always delicious! I also love the strawberry picking (and you take a hay ride to get to the field). Sure it is more expensive than if you purchased in a grocery store, but it is a fun experience making memories with your family. If you don't want to go the pick your own route, they have a lot of other fun things to keep you entertained. Bounce pillows, corn maze, slides built into the hillside, a haunted walk through barn, animals and more! And, if you don't want to do any of the extras, it is worth it just to stop and shop in their market! Loads of their fresh produce, baked goods, jarred goods and cute farm related merchandise. We payed extra for the petting zoo food. The staff is also so great at communicating thought email and phone. They were very patient with me and answered all my questions. I will be coming back here with my son to explore more of the barnyard on a sunny day and will most likely book any future birthday parties here!

Pick your own Strawberries!…read more As we rolled down 211 towards the Shenandoah region we couldn't help but see this sign and pull over to pick some fresh strawberries. The strawberries were very small, but you just can't beat $1.50/lb for fresh strawberries to munch on while you are on the road. They smelled so good and were very sweet. The patch was pretty big, however I think we were a bit late in the season to get the big ones. They also had some other country goodies in the store like homemade sauces and honey and other fresh produce. if we weren't in a hurry to get back on the road i could have easily stocked up on some local Virginia honey.

When you arrive for picking you go in and sign your name and put down the make and tag of your car. After that the person at the front desk will give you milk jugs or a cardboard box to hold the fruit you picked. The price is per pound, for example blueberries are $3.99 a pound and black rasberries are $5.99 a pound. The availability of the different fruits/vegtables is dependant on the season so make sure you call ahead. Depending on what you decide to pick you will either be able to pick right outside of the store or you will need to go on the main road and take the first right where you will find the second part of the farm. There they have rows and rows of different fruits and vegtables for you to pick. Once you've picked your fill you head back to the store and pay. The store also offers a variety of homemade dressings, pre-picked vegtables and honey for sale. Very important to note: They only take cash or check, not card. The restrooms are also located in the back left of the store. Theres no mens and womens restrooms just one. Definitely bring hats as there is not shade when picking. Overall, its a fun way to spend time with friends and family. I would definitely recommend this place.

I liked the flavors of the fruit spreads. The honey tasted very sweet and delicious. The lip balm tasted like honey, had a slightly gritty texture, and moisturized my lips.
