They were still putting out some bakery goods in the case, but their other sections were full. I ended up getting some random items to try, but their cherry sable cookies were amazing. I had to eventually share with my toddler and he liked them as well. They also have the trending Chewy Dubai cookies but I am not a huge huge, pistachio lover so I skipped that. But the sable cookies - amazing!

A follow-up e-mail from Mary suggested a pickup in a local parking lot, which worked for me. The goods were tasty, and Therese H. liked them very much. From my perspective, the lemon-blueberry scones are a good size and good value. But, even adjusting for GF ingredients, I consider the cinnamon rolls undersized for the price. Same for the Italian herb bread. I can't imagine that a larger size would require more than a minute or two of extra labor, and a larger quantity of ingredients, of course. So, how about charging a bit more, and doubling the size? Overall, I appreciate the effort, and say thank you, GFaL, for GF baked goods in the Metro East.

There are so many seasonal macaroon flavors, they make the absolute BEST baklava. I also really enjoy the giant cannolis! It's a small family owned business (it's physically small too). But the owners are SO sweet and told me all about their love story that ties into their waffles. They make my heart so happy, help you believe in love (and good desserts) and I can't wait to continue to support this business.

These are the lightest, fluffiest, tastiest donuts you will ever taste. I cannot explain the texture but it's not your average donut texture. It's a thick donut, but not heavy. Light weight and almost airy. Not chewy, melts in your mouth. Also their chocolate frosting is delicious and there's always just enough on each donut. More of a thinner glaze than a thick heavy frosting. The long john is my top recommendation, but I've never had anything bad here. I've had glazed, chocolate cake chocolate frosting, vanilla cake chocolate frosting, blueberry cake and an apple fritter. Their blueberry cake is perfection, I love the glaze on the outside. This is a small mom and pop type shop, don't plan to dine in. Grab your dozen and head out. Also, get there early. By mid-morning they've sold many of their donuts and you won't have the best selection. Chocolate long johns are popular so I try to get there super early for them. They can be sold out by 9am.

My favorite treat is gooey butter cake which they have as a full cake and in small bars. I like the bars option a lot. It's a solid GBC, though not my favorite - I think it's more "cakey" than "gooey" whereas the previous bakery here had the opposite type of GBC. It is a bit crumbly, too. They have great cookies and other bar options, the pecan bars are super cute especially. I've never gone in, but my friend who is the treat retriever says the folks are nice!

We ordered a four-pack with the Worms & Dirt, Red Velvet, and Rainbow Shake cookies. There were definitely some highs and some disappointments. First, the good stuff! The chocolate frosting on the Worms & Dirt cookie was AMAZING. It was rich, smooth, and practically melted in your mouth. That one was definitely a winner! Unfortunately, the Rainbow Shake cookie was a huge disappointment. It looked nothing like the picture on the app, and the flavor didn't resemble a milkshake at all. Honestly, it was basically a sugar cookie with M&Ms on top. I had much higher expectations, especially based on how it was advertised, and it just didn't deliver. The parking situation at this location wasn't fabulous either. Luckily, my friend was able to run inside and grab our order, so we didn't have to deal with finding a spot or spending much time there. Overall, this definitely isn't my favorite Crumbl location. Between the inconsistent cookie quality and the parking situation, the experience just wasn't what I expected. I love trying Crumbl's weekly flavors, but I think I'll stick with a different location next time. The Worms & Dirt cookie was delicious, but unfortunately, one great cookie wasn't enough to save the experience!

While I have some favorites, I have also enjoyed the exploration of flavors they have brought to my palate. I has not considered savory Macarons, or some of the combinations that have been made, but to my surprise I have found new favorites. The Basil and white chocolate macaron, paired with tomato was one of those that became a new favorite. Another part I have enjoyed is the seasonal nature of the flavors selected for each month. I love the international flavors (Ube Macarons are also a favorite of mine). I love the classic and novel approaches used in the macaron creation. It has brought fun and excitement I look forward to experiencing each month. Try them, you will love them too!

I spent the better of my college years perfecting the macaron and making all kinds of french pastries, putting in endless hours. Years later, with no time for that, I find myself with a macaron subscription - 10 a month to be exact. The deliveries from Le Nouveau Macaron are gorgeous. They are packaged beautifully, the macarons are decorated so eloquently, and they taste pretty good. I also like the combinations with some savory flavors. I just have a few suggestions or criticisms: - The subscription comes with an 'extra' item, like a little tart. While these are quite exciting to receive and look lovely, I've found them all to be extra sweet or just too much. For example, a lemon tart but with buttercream icing on top. A lemon tart is already extremely sweet and, if anything, needs a neutral topping like whipped cream, but I would say nothing at all. - The macaron cookies are sometimes too thin and seem to not have much interior. They can look thin from the side and there is not much in the bite. - The filling can sometimes be too thick for the size of the cookie. To me, the macaron can have an obvious ratio discrepancy just by looking at it (MAXIMUM 1/3 should be filling, max). It looks like mostly filling and very little cookie. Generally when it looks like that, it also tastes like that. I think the main thing is that some of the tastes are just overly sweet. Too much filling that's sweet, or in the cases of other pastries, too much sweet stuff. French pastries are generally my favorite because they are not usually overly sweet. I would like to see some offerings here that are a little less sweet and a little thicker macaron cookie. But I'ma keep on ordering!
