This place never disappoints. I stopped in this morning for breakfast and had the Philly…read morecheesesteak omelette with potatoes, and it was absolutely delicious. The service was fantastic and of course the ambience was very family oriented. Will definitely recommend this place.

This review is solely based on the food, as I've never actually stepped foot inside the restaurant…read more First good point: they were open on Easter! We had a long day and just wanted to eat at home, so we decided to place a takeout order. After browsing the website, we settled on the Salisbury steak meal, a veggie plate, lemon pepper wings with fries, a chicken tender meal, and a slice of strawberry cake. Second good point: the website was user-friendly. However, when I tried to place the order, the payment wouldn't go through. My husband called the restaurant, and we were told they were having some technical difficulties with their system--but we could place the order over the phone instead. Third good point: the person we spoke to was friendly and helpful. The food was hot and fresh when my husband brought it home. Overall, everything was good--there were a few minor issues, but nothing that was a deal breaker: The mac and cheese was a bit dry, and the cheese wasn't fully melted. The collard greens were a little too salty, and the chicken tenders were pretty bland. The icing on the strawberry cake was also a bit too sweet for my taste--but that might just be personal preference. Other than that, everything was delicious. I'm looking forward to actually going inside next time, whether to dine in or get takeout.

Of course I come here because it's a Location film in Stranger Things…read more But man, let me just say besides the show don't judge a books by its cover the food here was amazing and the staff here was so nice I had a burger and it's probably the best burger I've had in a very long time Our experience here was so amazing specially, being able to sit in the same table and the same seats in the same location as number 11 did. Besides it being a Stranger Things filming location from season one I'd do recommend you stopping here and trying their food. It was definitely worth it.

BF looked it up and saw that it was the diner from Stranger Things, so we had high hopes. Well. Here's the good: Everything was made to order. The chicken fried steak was AMAZING and our waitress couldn't have been any sweeter. The bad: My god this place is run down. Talking ripped booth seats, chipped plates, etc. We waited an hour for our food because yes the food is made to order, but it's only one guy doing it all. At the half hour mark we decided we were already committed, so we just stayed. The mid: The sides were just meh. Mashed potatoes, deviled eggs, crumbly dry cornbread. Honestly the fried okra was pretty good but it's hard to mess that up. Overall, it was ok, it was cheap, but I wouldn't come back.

Best place for breakfast in Douglasville hands down! It seems to get better every time we visit…read more Lots of seating and great service too. Delicious!

Ordered the ham and cheese omelette with extra ham and extra cheese did not get that the ham inside…read morewas burnt to a crisp and asked for my hashbrowns to be lightly done. They were burnt and my toast was burnt. I ignored the first time then I ordered it again on the following Saturday and again same thing burnt food finally called him and told him about it. They were nice and they said they were credit me but then when I tried to call today, they literally said they couldn't honor it because they didn't know who said it who wrote it down or if they wrote it down and they can't just give away free food and then when I asked if I can talk to the owner, they said that that he never comes in very often and that even if she gave him my number that he would probably not even call seems to me the owner don't give a fuck about his customers anymore. It's been a long time standing diner, which has totally fallen apart it doesn't have that nice hometown feeling anymore and they have definitely lost a customer for life. If the owner don't give a fuck neither do I and I highly advise everyone not to even go because their food literally sucks now has no flavor. The spaghetti sucked someone else had the country fried steak said it tasted just like a hospital food with no flavor so to me I don't see the Bankhead Diner staying open very much longer especially if the owner is gonna continue to treat his customers and it seems like their employees as well. Shitty so so when I recommend this place hell no and I don't even wanna rate it I give it a 0. I want to write it a -10.
