Greyhound Pet Adoption Florida/ Southeast is very much open and they receive new dogs all the time…read more I had the pleasure of visiting twice, getting to know the volunteer staff and the dogs. They have a beautiful facility with plenty of room for dogs to be let out. The property has a house where a family lives in and cares for the dogs as well as the kennel. Even though I have rescued greyhounds before, it is always good to get a refresher course from one of the staff. They took the time to tell me about the personality of each dog that was available for adoption. This is very important when making a decision because it can be difficult to choose just one of them. We ended up getting Daisy, a sweet, petite black female with golden eyes. After losing our last rescue, our house was just not the same. Retired racers are all different ages. Ours is less than two years old. If you are looking to adopt, call them and go visit the dogs. Greyhounds are called 45 mile an hour couch potatoes. They are not hyper dogs at all. They may sprint in the yard for a minute or two and that is it for the day. Their website shows photos and information on available dogs. These are great dogs that deserve to have a home.

We visited the dogs several times before making the decision, the staff take good care of these dogs and really love them/the breed. They were honest with us about each dog (cat friendly, skittish, not cat friendly, etc.) There is a home inspection to ensure that the dog is going to a good place. They give you a lot of information to help in your decision. I went from always having Chihuahua's to a 60 lbs greyhound, we love Stella and her quirky personality! Stella's favorite ice breaker, buttered toast, and she's your buddy!

I have only 2 guest dogs the whole week, so I hope that I can schedule the sofa cleaning as soon as possible this week. When I saw the little dot on Sola's face it didn't seemed like I have to go to the vet, it was already dry and I wasn't sure if he had that before. Sometimes it is more risky to go to the vet if you have a healthy dog, because you don't want him to catch something where all the sick dogs go. You are right about the amount of dogs where overwhelming this weekend but they where all social with each other, beside Sola trying to "hump" them which wasn'tthreateningbut more likeannoyingfor other dogs. I never had any of my client pay for my sofa cleaning in the last 7 years I am in business, but I also never had a client who rushed to the emergency room with a small scratch and complained about the vet bill. Having dogs in my home I know that some of them will pee on the sofa and I never thought it is my client's fault, but none of my client thought that a small scratch on their dog is my fault. When dogs are together playing, things happen even if you are alway there with them. When I wasn't here, I had a pet sitter (Kaili or Kathy) staying in our home, so I don't even know when that dot happened in his face. I am sending the check with my invoice from the cleaning company as soon as they come out to clean it. Please give a hug to Sola, he is a very sweet dog, but if you are not planning to breed him, maybe he would be a happier dog to be neutered. We would like to see the $82.00 returned to us in 10 business days to 1905 dock st. West Palm Beach, Fl 33401. We are sorry that this ended up this way but we feel that the amount of dogs were a major contributor to the injuries and amount of care taken in this matter. We hope you do take your own advice and charge more so that more quality care could be given to the dogs and not the hot mess we were dealing with. I brought my 19-week-old miniature poodle, Coco, to Puppy Cuts Pet Spa in Loxahatchee on a Thursday…read morefor a scheduled full groom (bath and trim). Unfortunately, I will not be returning and strongly advise other pet owners to look elsewhere. That evening, her coat carried the exact same unwashed odor as when she arrived, with absolutely no scent of shampoo. Over the next two days, she began aggressively scratching at her throat and neck area. Running clippers through a dirty, unwashed coat causes severe skin irritation and razor burn, which is exactly what my puppy experienced. It is clear the vital first step of the bath was skipped and she was dry-clipped. Friday and Saturday morning after removing Coco from her covered crate, the scent was another clear indication she did not receive a bath. To make matters worse, while checking out, I overheard a staff member (a conversation between the co-owners) did not want to hand me my puppy, stating she would not 'take credit' for the groomer's (Ashley) work. When I reached out to management to politely request a partial refund for the skipped bath, I received a corporate response dismissing my observations and refusing to adjust the bill unless I brought my already-injured puppy back into the salon for an 'evaluation.' Be careful bringing your pets here. A reputable salon should prioritize a puppy's physical comfort and transparency over protecting a rushed job. I will transition my baby's grooming care to a business that values transparency and quality.

You've seen my princess Luna had a couple of dog friendly spots but unfortunately some pups need extra love and help trusting humans again. Kibblez of Love is a rescue group I have become involved with, since learning that a good friend rescued her furry family members from them. They have the doggies, from adoptables to hospice cases, in what can be described as a mansion. The house is air condition and with either TV or music for the pups while they are lounging. They're grouped whether by size or health condition and get vet checkups and rehabilitation like socializing them and training adult pups to walk on a leash. They also have a food bank (for cats as well) to help people keep their pets. Like a lot of charity groups, there's always a need for community support.
