I found good BOGO sale deals and price markdowns - a kitchen wrap organizer for $2.99 (marked down from $9.99) and a large, tall cabinet shelf that worked perfectly in the kitchen for $12.99. The store is well organized and visually merchandised; it's cool to walk around and look at their inventory. Plus, the staff were nice. The woman who rang me up at the register was friendly and I even signed up for the customer rewards program... So I'd recommend the store if you are in the area or local and need something specific, or are looking for some home organization inspo.

They turned it into a garage pantry made by amateur wanna-be handyman.. There are so many other options out there--shop around before signing anything. My experience started with the designer, Pamela, and was disappointing from the beginning. I felt pressured to sign because I was offered "40% off" plus an additional "15% off ONLY if you sign TODAY." Looking back, the whole thing felt like a sales scam/gimmick to me designed to make me sign before I had time to compare other companies. I also never received the clear, concrete and detailed final design documentation I expected. The installation and craftsmanship were horrible in my opinion. The materials looked and felt cheap for such an overpriced product. I dealt with visible holes/supports, poor finishing, damage, and misaligned doors--and after everything they have done, THE DOORS ARE STILL MISALIGNED. Even worse, the original installation had to be reinstalled TWICE--three installations total--and the project is STILL not right. At this point, fixing what was left behind and getting my room to look somewhat normal again will cost me at least another $1,000 out of my own pocket. That is completely unacceptable to me after hiring and paying a supposedly professional custom-design company. I do want to be fair about Marek, the installation/service manager. He was nice, listened and genuinely tried to work with me. Unfortunately, despite his efforts and multiple reinstallations, the end result is still unacceptable. What really adds insult to injury is that after all the mistakes, terrible workmanship, repeated installations, disruption, stress, countless hours of my time, and now the additional expense I will have to incur to fix my room, Closets by Design never offered me any refund, credit or meaningful compensation whatsoever. That's after spending nearly $8K!!! As for Pamela, based on my personal experience, I would never work with her again. If I could go back, I would have not just walked away from the "sign today" pressure and hired another company, I should've ran for dear life and never looked back. For me, the combination of the "today only" discount, the quality of what I received, and the extremely high pricing felt like a complete rip-off. After three installations, my doors are still misaligned, mirrors are crooked, etc. and I am left spending more money to repair the aftermath. Please shop around. There are too many other options to put yourself through what I went through. I absolutely regret choosing Closets by Design and cannot recommend them.
