Eric's Ice Cream Factory - Samoa homemade ice cream with my really cool solar eclipse nail polish!

What a nice reward we got here at Eric's for going far out of the way to avoid the traffic on US23! I got 2 scoops of this homemade goodness in a cup: carrot cake (needs more carrot cake in it but still faithful to its namesake, with the carrot cake bits in a cream cheese flavored scoop) and Samoa, which was outstanding and tasted just like the beloved Girl Scout cookie. Other half got a vanilla/chocolate soft serve twist and he says flavor and texture were just fine. Doggies each a little bit of soft serve vanilla in a cup, which always elicit rave reviews and sleepy eclipse dogs for the ride home!

I'm giving this two stars because the soft serve was great! Service lacked immensely. The girls…read morewere more interested in their conversation talking about the guy in drive thru than helping us and answering questions. Then acted like we were bothering them when we asked about actual ice cream flavors. Didn't know what was in two of the ones we asked about. Menu is hard to read. No visible list of flavors, it's on the sliding window in very small print and is in code names, supposed to be funny names which would be ok if you could see what it was or five a description. I've been in the car for two days and it has been hot. All we wanted was a cold ice cream cone on the way back to the room after dinner. We were told this was the place to go. After the disinterest in the two girls guessing what was in flavors, then one ran to the back screaming loudly about something...a text maybe....the other one got us our soft serve. Figured we couldn't go wrong there and we were right. It was good. And servings were large. Few more people came and got the same treatment. Poor giant preggo lady got a chili dog while we were eating our cones and waited forever for it. We all felt awful for her. I'd have like to try the ice cream bit we probably won't be back. This may be ok for small town people who know everyone's but for an outsider, go to DQ down the street. You'll at least know what you're getting.

Three of us ordered their Yahtzee burger (delicious) and before you pay you get three chances to roll a Yahtzee (I came within 1!). If you do your burger is free. Their Philly cheese steak was good. Make sure to get the truffle aioli. The decor downstairs is very cool. Good service, plenty of parking. Would recommend.

I got an aloha pizza, I think that the chicken could have been "factory prepared chicken chunks", but it didn't matter because all the topping together made for a perfect harmony of flavors. My only thought was what if it had a sprinkle of cinnamon. Richelle got the pepperoni rolls, or you might as well call them Stromboli. The garlic butter is a good choice, creamy, and not salty. Richelle also got onion rings, which were good too but the ranch siracha is kicking it. The beer selection when we were there was wonderful for a hot July day, I got a Maumee Bay MacQueens cider and Richelle got a Oncore blueberry wet sprocket. Local beer, yum. Our server Alexis was very helpful, helping with beer selections, and dinner choices.
