I had Elliot from Deden painting stain my house and decks in Truckee and want to say how happy I am with the quality of work he did. The exterior now looks wonderful! Also, it hadn't been stained for quite awhile, and there were lots of spots where ice from the last two winters had scraped the existing stain down to bare wood. Deden Painting stained my house and deck in Tahoe Donner and did an excellent job. My home is older and the wood was looking pretty funky so I thought it wouldn't clean up too well. To make things more complicated, there was some new unstained decking and siding mixed in with the old wood. I wanted to stain the house a different color which I described to Dave, so he suggested I drive by a couple of houses he had done to see if that was what I had in mind. Sure enough, they were the color I was describing. That saved me a lot of time and trouble. I went out of town and left the job in Dave's capable hands. When I returned, the job was done as promised, and I was surprised and thrilled with the outcome! Somehow he prepped the 35+ year-old wood and the brand new wood so it all came out looking great. I hired Deden Painting to repaint the entire interior of my 3-story condo in Northstar. I had 5 companies come to bid on this. Deden did the job quickly and professionally and the place looks great. I would recommend them to others. The reason for the 1 star deduction is that they forgot to paint one small room (laundry - they came back and painted it very quickly), they put one of the heavy captains beds in backwards after moving it to paint, and there are some paint stains on the wood trim. All of these are minor. I am sure Dave, the owner, would have sent someone out to rectify these issues, but it was easier to handle them myself. To reiterate, I would not hesitate to hire Deden Painting again or to recommend them to others. They are a great company. read more

I normally don't take time to write a review. But, for the outstanding job Deden Painting did on our house I'll will take the time. Deden Painting stained our house. Prior to the job a person from the company came to our home to talk with us. He explained the process. I was very concerned about my flower garden in front of the house. I mentioned this to the representative and he said "Unfortunately the flowers will get wrecked in the process." Of course I was disappointed but it was good to know in advance. Since this is a second home for us we were not there when the job was done. When we arrived at our house after the job I expected to see my flower garden wrecked. To my happy surprise it was beautiful and in tact. A few days later a representative came to our home to discuss the job. I thanked him for saving my flowers. This may seem minor in the scheme of an entire staining job but it shows the care and concern Deden Painting has. BTW...they did an outstanding strain job. Even our neighbors were impressed. Over the years I've worked with a lot of painters on remodel work--interior and exterior--and Deden Painting is the best I've worked with. We recently bought a cabin in Soda Springs and needed the entire interior repainted. Dave gave us a quick estimate that beat Bay Area prices by a mile, so I took a deep breath and signed the estimate, hoping for the best given that we are 3 hours away and not in a position to supervise the work. Dave met with me at the cabin to confirm details when I did our pre-escrow close walk-through, and agreed to paint the next week on an expedited basis so that we could start moving furniture in.
