The woman who waited on me was extremely rude and condescending. I will never shop there again.

I just remember the days when I received as well as gave some respect. Respect doesn't cost anything and I am a Veteran that was brought up while in the Military that Respect was # 1. Jon B. We have a couple in our flat from other local places; these low maintenance baddies can tolerate pretty much anything that happens (... or doesn't happen) to them, they purify the air, and supposedly help with sleep. Skillins to the rescue! I didn't realize HOW enormous their indoor space is; be ready to be surprised too! PRO TIP: This would be a lovely place to bring a coffee and spend an hour wandering around in the middle of winter. It's so warm and bright in here! An employee watering some plants asked me if I needed help, then walked me over to their Low Light Plant section. There were half a dozen or so smaller snake plants available, several of them showing new growth already! They were $10; I feel like that's exactly what I was expecting/hoping to pay. When I was cashing out, the person in front of me was buying a bouquet of flowers. The employee at the register softly inquired if they were for any special occasion. Come to find out they were a surprise for his wife "just because"; the employee then wrapped them up in such a pretty, thoughtful way (and I don't think he was charged for it). When it was my turn, she even wrapped up my snake plant so that it would "stay warm" as I walked to my It looks like they host community events, so be sure to check out their website for fun things to do!

Let me start by admitting that, to me, this Lowe's and this Lowe's…read more(https://www.yelp.com/biz/lowes-home-improvement-portland) are nearly the same place - in layout, in availability, in staff, etc.. And, if I go to one, I usually end up going to the other immediately afterward to see if they have what I was looking for if the other didn't, so I think I've done this mash-up to myself. Things I like about the Brighton location: 1. It's always less busy than the other location. 2. The parking lot is less chaotic as a result. 3. When "the mall" location is out of something specific (like the white ceramic allen + roth indoor planter I'd like ALL my flora friends to be in), Brighton usually has it. 4. I don't know if they're actually smaller than "the mall" location, but they've got an impressive selection of outdoor plants (flowers, herbs, veggies) in Spring/Summer. 5. I think the staff here is nicer. Things I like about both locations: 1. Using the outside register. Things I don't like about either locations: 1. They're horrible inside registers (both the self check-out and the ones with people). Things I like about Lowe's in general: I think Lowe's as a corporate brand does a good job at seasonality. Unlike Walmart, the Dollar Tree, and even Target who, for example, have their back-to-school stuff up by early July and have already transitioned completely away from anything summer/patio/gardening, Lowe's doesn't. Some of us don't have our gardens planted by Memorial Day, so I appreciate that I can still get my mint and dill "later" in the season, I guess.
