We are building a new house, so the only images I was able to provide came from a model home, which had completely different design selections, colors, and features. Unfortunately I have to give them 1 star on the ordering process, which has been a nightmare. I ordered from a handful of vendors and in each case it was really challenging: Multiple orders sent to the wrong address, often across the country (I'm not sure if they are confusing orders or there is some other issue). Decorilla has not identified or proactively worked to solve these issues (I often had to call the vendor directly to try figuring out what's happening) Order numbers take weeks to receive, even when the estimate for delivery is a matter of days. I suspect in many cases that the orders haven't been placed for a number of days / weeks, because customer service simply won't provide them when asked, and only instead promise a tracking number later on. Nothing is done proactively; follow ups are needed to get any progress and empty promises are made about them coming back with an update, which doesn't happen until further follow up occurs (in a few cases, I was given numbers within a matter of minutes of following up, and the orders had shown they had just been placed with the vendor, despite my paying for them weeks prior) As part of trying to correct an order, I learned that vendor orders are done using a credit card in the Decorilla founder's name, which is highly concerning for a scaled business. I suspect this may have something to do with the delays, as the invoice process has the consumer paying Decorilla, who then has to go reach out to the vendor, etc. As of now, an order that was supposed to take 3-7 days is now at a month, with no end in sight, and the company refuses to provide an order number on something ordered roughly 2 weeks ago, despite assuring me it was ordered. I worked with Sarah R. who was fantastic. I lost my home in the palisades fire and worked with her on a new house to help design it with accessories/art/small pieces of furniture. She assisted with all of the final touches and absolutely made the whole home come together and feel like ours. She worked with us to understsnd our taste and style and went back and forth as much as we needed until we picked things we loved. I was so appreciative of her responsiveness and work!! We've used Decorilla for 4 rooms in our house (our Kitchen, our Living Room, my office and our Master Bedroom). We would NOT recommend Decorilla. Decorilla offers three tiers of service (Bronze, Silver and Gold). Gold/Silver offer the same services as Bronze but with a more experienced decorator. We've tried all three levels and we've found there to be no difference in quality. At each level, you receive two design proposals from two different designers. In our experience, the average level of design work is very poor. Interior Design preferences are unique to the individual, but I think anyone with even a semblance of expertise would agree most of the designs we were offered were bad. The reasons they were bad varied: very basic, terrible understanding of colors, completely ignoring the general guidelines we requested, or regurgitating your ideas back at you with no value add on their part. We had one positive experience (our living room) One of our original designs was excellent, the designer followed our guidelines, and we ultimately implemented the design and it looks great. (This is why we decided to do 3 more rooms!). We did, however, order our furniture through Decorilla and it was multiple months delayed (with no communication at all on their part). Another concern we had was with customer service. Decorilla offers a satisfaction guarantee, but we found they do not actually live up to it. Their guarantee is only that the designer will keep trying, but if the designer is just not talented, you're out of luck (and $1,000). Emailing and working with the company is frustrating, wherein they feel much more focused on every dollar they make over the customer experience. Overall, I think it's possible to get a good design from Decorilla, but it's risky and generally not an enjoyable experience. Their designers, on average, are not particularly talented and you are unable to see any of their work beforehand. I guess you get what you pay for! I would avoid. read more

Our living room/dining room needed a refresh. After some research, I selected Decorilla. Tiered Programs There are three levels from which to choose - Bronze, Silver, and Gold. Depending on which you choose, you'll either get a novice designer (Bronze) up to an experienced designer (Gold.) I selected the Silver tier. Getting Started The process to get started was relatively simple. I did have to take exact measurements of the space, and furniture so that the designers could select the correct pieces in the final recommendations to ensure sizing was correct. Proposals Once you select your tier, you're assigned two designers who are chosen based on your design style preferences. While you can view their portfolios, you cannot select your designer options. Both designers will propose designs based on what you enter into your design profile when you complete the initial intake process. My experience with this phase was initially poor. Neither designer took any of my requests into consideration and the mood boards they presented were the exact opposite of what I asked for. After contacting customer service, I was presented with new designers - one of whom I eventually chose (Sarah), and whose design recommendations more closely aligned with my vision. Design Selection Depending on the tier you select, you have options for how many design changes you can request from your designer if there is an element of the design you do not like. I did make a couple of requests. Generally, the design was so much better than the initial proposals that I accepted most of what was proposed. Purchasing You can purchase anything your designer proposes directly from Decorilla. Your designer will indicate the item's name, and the online store where you can purchase it directly on your own. However, if you purchase through Decorilla, you can take advantage of their discounts. I found some, not all, of the items far cheaper at different sites. However, the process of asking for a quote from Decorilla is easy and there is no obligation to purchase from them. Customer Service The customer service I received was excellent. For this reason alone, I would absolutely recommend using this particular company if you're exploring options. Overall Experience This was not the most hands-off experience as I initially hoped, but it ultimately worked out. I was able to get inspiration for how to refresh my space without the hassle of scheduling an appointment and having someone come into my home. The design piece was fine. Not exceptional, but fine. However, we had multiple issues on the ordering side. We found the mirror they priced out for markedly less (likely hundreds of dollars less) - which made us doubt their cost/pricing. That wasn't the only pricing discrepancy we found. Then, the bed we ordered for our toddler's room has taken 14 MONTHS. Even worse, only half of it is here so it's just sitting on the floor taking up a huge amount of space. Clearly from talking to Crate and Barrel, it was an issue on the ordering side (we could have literally gotten in two weeks had we done it ourselves). The whole experience has been an ordering nightmare, with really no one stepping up to help and/or fix the issues. Rachel was so patient with me and really listened to my wants. Cons It was a little pricey compared to other eDesign companies. I used them for 3 of my rooms. No 3d rendering for $1150. One room was a kitchen from scratch. Other edesigns are about $180 a room. I understand a blank canvas would cost a little more but that was a lot more. Was it worth the price. Absolutely. Honestly, I can't believe how easy this process was. I recently moved to Atlanta, and decided I needed a "Big Boy" living room that didn't look like a 12 year old had furnished it. I also tend to suffer from analysis paralysis. I'll see a cool cabinet and be like, OH THAT! And then I see a sofa that doesn't match it in the slightest, and be like OH THAT TOO. In short, I'm a hot mess. So I Googled a bunch of options out there and ended on Decorilla, right price, and all online (I hadn't moved in yet, and was able to get started right away). They collected a significant amount of information and provided me two VERY lovely mood boards. After selecting the "Winner", we moved on to making tweaks and refinements. I would say in total there were about 50 messages back and forth. Concluded with a 3-D model and finished. When my wife and I moved over from London, we knew we'd face some challenges getting settled in. Figuring out a new city, making friends, trying to find a solid local for dinner - these were all things we expected and had largely prepared ourselves for. However, the surprise was when we were looking for a place to live and discovered that the apartments we liked (albeit in full service towers) came unfurnished and looked bleak and boring. We'd never really had to buy furniture and design our entire living space and, quite frankly, I had neither the time nor the patience to do so given the demands of a new job. I had worked with traditional interior designers before when I helped my parents redo their house, but I found that it took a considerable amount of time just to get started which wasn't going to work for an apartment we'd most likely only be living in for a couple of years. Lucky for us, the show apartments in our building had been staged by Decorilla and, since we loved the show apartment, we decided to try out the service. We were attracted to the fact that multiple designers from their team would be competing and submitting visual concepts for our review which took some of the legwork out of finding the right designer. I was a bit concerned about the ability to communicate my (admittedly) vague preferences via email/phone, but it wasn't an issue at all. I also appreciated that the designers worked hard to ensure they tailored the proposals to suit our tastes, rather than what they thought the apartment should look like (although they had plenty of ideas to choose from when we asked). In terms of process, it's pretty straightforward. I filled out a short form online and received an email from a Decorilla representative in short order to customize my package. After explaining my renovation and design needs, Decorilla created a custom quote that included everything we discussed. I was then put in touch with two interior designers based on my requirements who asked more detailed questions before submitting their initial design proposals. It was great that we had the option to go back and forth with the designers on the proposals. I have a hard time visualizing what the end product might look like and I was a bit concerned that, if the proposals didn't reflect what I wanted, we have to start from scratch. Decorilla also provides 3D renderings of the space so you can actually see what it will look like before you commit fully. Although we liked both design proposals, we decided to work with one of designers as we felt she was a bit more flexible (although both were pretty awesome). An added benefit is that Decorilla and the designer has relationships with contractors and vendors that we could utilize. We opted to make our purchases through the contractor our designer worked with because it was easier, faster, and we also got to take advantage of some great discounts on the furniture and décor items though Decorilla's trade programs. That being said, you aren't tied into using Decorilla's partners in case you found something else that you love. From what I can tell, the designers don't make any commission on the materials so they don't have any incentive to push you towards any particular vendor. All in all, the experience was about as smooth as we could have hoped for and we're thrilled with the end result. As much as we'd like to take the credit (not that anyone would actually believe I could design my way out of a paper bag), Decorilla and its designers deserve all of it. We'd definitely look to use Decorilla again the next time we need to set ourselves up in a new place! read more

Update: After posting my review, I got a call from customer support. I think they had tech issues on their end where they did not receive my email responses. they are looking into it and issued me a refund back to my credit card. We have had a very poor Decorilla experience and would not recommend. Overall has been incredibly frustrating and there is no way to receive help other than over email - the phone number goes to voicemail. We have a significant amount of furniture credit with Decorilla that we are unable to use because of their unresponsiveness to invoices and they refuse to refund to credit card. Some key issues: 1) Worked with 3 designers with the 2nd designer that we liked dropping out suddenly before project completion 2) Final Design visualizations were not helpful or indicative of the items. Items that were recommended in the designs did not work with our space either due to quality or size issues. We had to return multiple items after receiving them. 3) Unable to use our furniture credit for purchases because of unresponsiveness. Very easy to order and receive an invoice for an item, but as soon as you want to use your furniture credit for the item, Decorilla goes completely silent and never places the order. read more

When purchasing, you don't get a ton of detail on what you're getting on the website, but they schedule a consult where you can ask all the questions. Great, friendly customer service. My designer Laura A. was an absolute dream. She's an American based in London, and I felt like she instantly 'got me'. She was patient, very responsive, and gave the right amount of balance in bringing my ideas to life and giving me honest feedback when she thought something didn't quite work. Update: I was provided a full refund and have updated my rating accordingly. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. I hired Decorilla to assist with renovating our kitchen and bathroom for our new home. Despite our frequent requests for final renderings of the kitchen, our designer did not provide us with mockups or any valuable information that we could pass along to our contractors. As such, we could not use anything that the designer created for our bathroom and I ended up selecting/doing everything on my own. We escalated the issue to Decorilla requesting a refund and they refused. I went into our kitchen renovation with much more apprehension than our bathroom renovation and AGAIN neither the designer nor the order team could provide anything on time. I am still waiting to hear from the order team on cabinets from an email I sent in November. Again, we could not wait and I did all of the work myself. And guess what they offered to me when I again asked for a refund?! A $100 credit that I can use towards a future design service or an item from the designer's list which WE WERE NOT ABLE TO USE. Truly unbelievable. Unless you want a headache, I do not recommend this service. You can recreate their basic design plans through any AI tool. The mock ups they create are not even feasible or realistic--for example, I am now looking at the mock up she created for the finished bathroom and she put a dual sink which has no chance of fitting in the space. I cannot say enough how much I enjoyed the whole process with Decorilla's designer, Picharat. A friend of mine a couple of years ago, employed a local designer to design her rooms and she walked away disappointed and felt she wasted her money. I chose the Decorilla route and the experience and design went beyond my expectations. I paid quite a bit less and got higher end furnishings. In the end, my room is now very sophisticated, light and bright. My neighbors were blown away with the "before" and "after". Many design firms will only work with clients with large (or unlimited) budgets. Decorilla will work with any budget, large or small. Try them, regardless of your budget! When I had concerns about pricing of a certain item she took that feedback and found excellent alternate choices that did not compromise the flow of the design .We had unlimited conversations on each piece of furniture and she made sure all the dimensions were correct before getting the 3D design done and took my feedback before finalizing the visualization . Horrible experience! Not only did it take a long duration to complete the desired design, they could not match the prices I personally could get nor did they match Wayfair and manufacture pricing. When I moved overseas to New York, we didn't bring have much furniture to bring with us and decided to start over from scratch here. While I thought I had a bit of an eye for design and had my Pinterest board set up, it wasn't as easy as I thought. I wasn't familiar with the stores, and it was hard to figure out what other touchs would tie the room together, and whether the furniture would even fit together. It felt like more stress than it was worth for me to sort this out on my own. I got in touch with with Decorilla to complete my bedroom design and couldn't be happier. Their creativity, attention to detail, and personalization is out of this world. The whole experience surpassed my expectations. My first two designers submitted preliminary concepts which included a detailed layout and the items together, color palette and a professional explanation of the next steps and design background. It was really nice and they were both beautiful. I gave some feedback on the style because I felt I wasn't clear enough on some things and the second set of concepts was just perfect! These designers are so smart, but Tiara really nailed it so I chose to work with her. To be honest this was the hardest part but I'm glad I got choices!! We refined some of the details and I got the amazing photo realistic 3D renderings. There was just like the real thing and completely helped my get over my decision paralysis. Tiara worked with me to make the final revision of the 3D renderings (and made it so easy) and I started shopping! I know I sound too excited, but I really am over the moon about this service. It costs a fraction of the amount of a traditional interior designer, and having worked with an interior designer the old school way, this is much more convenient and effective. From beginning to end, the whole team greeted me, told me what was coming up next, and made shopping way easier. I had items from 9 different stores and literally checked out just once. They even helped to coordinate deliveries and tracking... it was so much easier than doing it all myself. The crazy thing is that the discounts I got on the furniture more than covered what I paid for the designers' help. All my friends are obsessed with my place and it feels nice. It's absolutely beautiful, and she addressed every single one of our needs for the room, which was no small feat because we wanted a sleeping space, studying space, and lounging space all in a smaller-sized room.
