I do however love the fresh veg and organic selection of sauces etc that as someone with allergies to food items or additives I have a hard time finding the healthy options. I can find it here. I cannot however find it in the food they serve here. Not much is GF including the soup so eating here is problematic. I usually have a coffee while my mum or sister eats and I watch. Fun, not. The owners are nice and friendly. They have a good wine selection and you can even bottle your own from the casket if you wish. I find the wine over priced so not a win here I'm afraid. It is difficult to find parking and it can be crazy at certain hours like breakfast lunch etc so I avoid these times. I'm putting an addition as this summer all prices went up 20 percent. When I asked staff about it they justified it by saying they had no increases in a few year's. When I mentioned the worst recession in history they were dismissive. This does not impress me. You're still sitting in a deli it's not a restaurant yet it is more expensive than one and no waiters.

I had a traditional Irish breakfast which was excellent - very flavorful. I loved the black and white pudding! My mother and sister both had the pancakes with eggs. Bawnogue is generally associated with being a hub for bank robbers and those affiliated with the sale and distribution of illegal narcotics and certainly not with culinary delight! The food is really good, chicken club was amazing smally got a dippy poached egg with soldiers and it was lovely! The food was good take my word for that but it was the experience I enjoyed most! I rarely gush on here but I really enjoyed honeycomb

I can't put into words how good the coffee is, in the same league as 3FE or Fixx. I suppose the only downside is the size, there's only about ten seats in the place. Up until then, I'd avoided this establishment as I'd found it particularly expensive. I was sure there must be a catch. Usually, just a coffee costs more than that. Maybe, only one or two disgusting cakes that were about to go off were included in the offer. Since that fateful day, I've dragged (okay at that price, they came pretty willingly) three friends here, and I was pleasantly surprised to learn that there was no catch. One can enjoy tea or any type of coffee with any choice of cake (apart from the Gingerbread Man. No point trying to save him missus, a fox gets him in the end). Although the waitress was friendly, she was impatient for us to order quickly. With such a selection, I'd rather be left alone for a few minutes to make my mind up. Today, I was more in the mood for something savoury so I had the Shepherd's Pie with a selection of salads, which was very tasty. At €7.99, I still find the savoury food to be over priced. I ordered a coffee with my lunch. The helpful waitress pointed out that I may as well get a dessert. She then stared at me until I made a decision. I panicked and asked for a mince pie (even though I know I don't like them). Seen as we had a lot to catch up on, my friend bought us a couple more Americanos. She arrived back to the table, happy with her doggie bag of two mince pies. As long as this offer lasts, I'll be bringing everyone and anyone here. Nice on the wallet but not on the dress size, I'm sure...
