I pondered over this…read morefor quite a while not wanting to do so before feeling that not giving our experience would be a disservice to others. We had the unfortunate experience of retaining NorthIndy for a railing project. Initially, I stopped by their store early afternoon to look at some of the product. No one was in, and I waited around the open store for probably 10-15 minutes when someone drove up. He said he was the owner. Very nice initial meeting then the wheels fell off. A lack of communication, many missed installment appts for a 2-man crew who showed up knowing this was second floor and didn't have a ladder. Fortunately, I the homeowner did have one that worked. The installers said they couldn't install part of the railing, so the GC had to install them. We were told there was a mix-up on the order and the wrong railing was ordered. I imagine communication with the GC and NorthIndy was part of the problem. The GC stepped up and installed part of the railing as the NorthIndy crew said they couldn't. Finally, I gave up and just wanted them done and gone. Both the GC and I had to call many, many times to get a call back and answer. I took off work waiting for them on at least 3 occasions only to have to call them and ask where are you? There are plenty of other sources for Westbury products and I'd look for anyone but NorthIndy. I expect a less than responsive reply, without taking any responsibility for their seriously lacking customer service.

It was looking rough after years of storms and our backyard holding water a bit too well. From the estimate to the actual install, Hal went above and beyond. He recommended steel posts instead of treated wood reinforced with concrete for the posts to eliminate the need of replacing it again in another 7-10 years. His quote was great, and now that the fence is up - 1000% worth it. The backyard looks transformed, and our dog is safe and secure in a fence that stands straight and has gates that open/shut easily! Hal was incredible to work with and we are so happy with our new fence. Definitely give him a call.

Jackson was very communicative and we scheduled a quote quickly for our small fence. Because of Covid, lumber is hard to come by, but in just a few short weeks he was able to secure the lumber for our project and get us on the schedule. Fair pricing based on the market price. It took about a week to put up our fence, apps 135 feet of 6 foot privacy fence with 3 gates. A few hiccups along the way but we had constant communication and everything was done correctly. 10/10 would hire again for my next project!

Let me first start by acknowledging that this review is of the estimate process and subsequent…read morefollow-up as I considered my options. In the end, I pursued another option thanks to a friend's connection that got me a very good deal. I contacted Watergate about some roofing issues at my home that I was aware were quite serious. I had two friends who both gave me a good reference for Watergate. One friend indicated they were they only company he'd dealt with that did not default to recommending a new roof. The other friend shared that they support Habitat for Humanity, a nonprofit I also believe in. So, I contacted the company and requested an estimate. They set a date, and their employee arrived on the day and at the time that was scheduled. As I recall, his name was Max. We discussed my concerns. He did a thorough search of my concerns, and indicated he'd be contacting me soon with an estimate. He provided the estimate within the expected time-frame, which ended up being pretty rare among the estimates I did receive. He communicated well. He followed up multiple times. I will note the estimate was the second highest I received, though considerably lower than the highest. However, in their defense I felt like Watergate was really targeting solving all my concerns. They do offer a financing option. One slight customer service quirk of mine - if I e-mail you, I expect an e-mail response. Both times I e-mailed, within five minutes I got a phone call. If I wanted a phone call, I'd call. This is relatively minor, but it did bug me. It didn't bug me enough to drop a star. Overall, I was pleased here. As I noted, I ultimately opted for another choice but I was impressed by the service here. It didn't feel high pressure at all, though there was intentionality. There's a difference. I love that they work in the community. Since I have two friends who also praised them, I have to still give them a thumbs up. While I didn't choose Watergate this time, I was impressed enough that I would still call them again should future work be needed.
