My 5 year old knows how to speak more respectfully than the ladies at the front desk. I have nothing bad to say about Dr. Linda aside from maybe hiring better qualified employees. If you are working in the medical field (even as just a receptionist), maybe you should be more willing to help people who are ill. She outsources everything! If you needed a culture test, she'll send you off somewhere else to get that done which now will require more time to go by before you are treated. I know at my former doctors office, this specific concern was handled at the office just by taking a culture test that Dr. Rouel is trained to do but never does it. So, on top of already waiting for your appointment for a week to be seen in hope you'll get treated only to find out that she's not there to treat you, but rather sends you off like a "human broker" No, this doctor doesn't operate like most do. Seeing her will extend the waiting period for proper care which runs the risk of your own well-being. She's a middle- man! She does more phone calls rather than office visits, and orders lab tests and this was shocking that she even missed our appointment last week without anybody from her office calling me to reschedule after I waited a week and half for this appointment. Her excuse was "my husband is in the hospital and it's serious...." this was her reason for missing our appointment. She shouldn't be telling me about her personal matter, in fact, what she should be apologizing for is why her staff was not professional and failed to contact me. A real doctor's office has protocols in place when emergency matters arise to avoid neglecting the quality of patient care. Not even a courtesy call to reschedule happened. They rarely respond to emails too. Furthermore, this place fails to even give a call to discuss your test results. It's like they'll get to it when they want to and that could be never unless you become proactive and call them all the time just to know the results. Beware, when you do become proactive and call out their mistakes, they bring their hot-blooded attitude out and speak to you unprofessionally which results with never wanting to return. This place lacks bedside manners, etiquette, and professionalism. While i've already got a sour taste about the doctor who missed our appointment, I also experienced a rude receptionist who claimed that they sent me the lab order form and I saw nothing in my inbox or in my junk mail either. Regardless of what she thinks she sent me, there is no excuse for her attitude. This receptionist could not for the sake of God be even 15% professional knowing that I'm the patient and have every right to be upset with the way they operate as medical professions. She needs to take some client service courses and practice being a better human while Dr. Rouel's needs an intervention for her entire clinic including herself. I wouldn't be surprised if there is already a lot of complaints to the medical board after reading all these negative reviews inside yelp. Oh, and here is the funniest part! They sent me a "discharge" letter in the mail after my confrontation over the phone with the receptionist...I wonder how many times they've done that with other people who are rightfully disturbed by this clinic. STAY CLEAR AND AWAY FROM THIS DOCTOR....YOU WILL NEVER RECEIVE AT MINIMUM, QUALITY CARE. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME.

    UPDATE: I paid in cash my copay for both visits I had to this horrid place. Now, 6 months later…read morethey are trying to double charge me for the 7/22/25 visit. I told them I paid and they said they need me to provide them with "records." FOR A CASH PAYMENT SIX MONTHS AGO???? Obviously they don't keep records and are fraudulent and trying to double charge patients. I will be reporting them for this attempted theft! ORIGINAL REVIEW: wish I could give this place zero stars. I will be reporting all health care professionals here to the medical board - that's how awful they are. Please STAY AWAY!!! I had gone to a doctor's appointment for a checkup and the physician found 5 lumps in my left breast and 4 lumps in my right one. I ended up making a follow up appointment at this clinic in El Cajon to confirm the other provider's findings and to get imaging done ASAP given my family history of breast cancer. During the appointment, I was seen by a physician assistant (Taylor PA) who INSISTED on NOT doing a breast exam at the appointment despite that being the sole purpose of my going. She did not let me list out of all my symptoms and said that given that my mom's breast cancer diagnosis did not occur until she was 68 that I did not have to worry about cancer until my late 50s !!!! What an IGNORANT healthcare professional!! Then, despite doing a breast exam at my insistence, and confirming MULTIPLE LUMPS in both breasts - she only listed "one" lump for the mammogram and ultrasound. This is just where the nightmare begins. Post appointment, I was told almost daily by the office/clinic that the referral had been put on 7/22 (date of appointment) and had gone to my insurance same day. Given I have several symptoms, I was concerned how slow the process was going. So, I called my insurance on 7/29 only to learn that the clinic had NEVER SENT THE REFERRAL!!! I immediately called and told the clinic who then changed their story and said "oh the internal process takes 7 business days." I was NEVER told this, ever. I was assured it was processed and send since 7/22. I warned them that their delay could result in a later diagnosis for me. Conveniently, within 24 hours they "sent" the referral to my insurance but of course, sent it WRONG. I had to wait another 24 hours to have the referral corrected and then they sent me to a clinic with appointments 2 months away. This is wholly unacceptable. I decided I would not be returning to this clinic, so I tried to cancel the upcoming appointments and I had to call over 5 times to cancel and still the appointments showed up on the portal. The INCOMPETENCE and MEDICAL NEGLIGENCE at this center is no joke. Even if I was dying, I would never return here. To top it all off, when I sent several messages asking about the referral, I was told (in writing) that they had processed it 7/22 (which was a lie) and that no BRCA testing would be ordered for me by the PA. I was also told that if I was in such a "rush" to simply to go the ER. They are HEARTLESS and do not care about any patients. I will be reporting them to every appropriate body I can.
