I had the car towed back to the garage and he Very reluctantly agreed to install a used transmission. During one of the Many trips back there to fix this leak or that, he got in my car with something in his back pocket and made a 6" tear in the driver's seat. Took the car to show him and he said, "Oh no, I didn't do that, you already got me on the transmission". Really, I thought. A couple weeks later the car wouldn't move, and I noticed fluid on the ground. Called him and he told me to add fluid and drop the car off. The next day he called stating the transmission now needed a new seal and that my warranty was up and the repair would cost over $500.00. "My warranty is up, the transmission was fine before I brought the car to you, I said", and he told me to come get my car that he wasn't the right garage for me. I took my car to another repair shop where they showed me the transmission was destroyed. Stay away, he doesn't stand behind his work.

Big Joe's got us in, not long before closing time. He scanned our computer, realized it was the alternator, not what we had done twice before. He couldn't get a new alternator that late in the day, so HE DROVE US TO A HOTEL, and actually picked us up the next day to go back to his shop. I went with the Promaster. Ruined my life. Everything went wrong with it. Transmission. A new fan EVERY single year because their fan assemblies eat themselves and leave you stranded. I have the invoices! My guy Jeff the mechanic giggles every time! Happened this year in Scranton. The year before in Midtown Manhattan. But, I digress... Austin was different. He was knowledgeable and low pressure. Took time to walk us thru the benefits of each level of trim. We were about done when I threw - unintentionally - a curveball at him about getting a Duramax variant. He was able to quickly locate one and that's the one we got. Duramax = happiness. A lot of folks break balls over this younger generation of Americans. Don't know how old Austin is, but he's got to be half my age. They are definitely less out spoken, but I think they're more trust worthy. At least that's my take away with Austin. No push. Just present with knowledge and details at the ready. Never had a bigger payment than this one. Never been happier with a vehicle. Buy from Austin. He's a good dude. PS I waited a few weeks to post this just to make sure this thing was still awesome. They called me at 4 pm and asked why my jeep was there and where were the keys. Ya right, going to act like you didn't see the envelope with my keys then how did you call me if you didn't see the envelope? They said they would get right to work on it. They had a special $350 an axle. They call me an hour later to say it was done. How did they do 4 rotors and brake pads in an hour? Then they charged me $1300. Within 1 week my brake sensors were chirping. After only 6000 miles my brakes and rotors are shot. I drive highway miles, don't have to brake much. I honestly think they didn't do the rotors and put cheap pads on. I will find out when I go to Firestone this time if originally rotors are on. I can see why they permanently closed.

Campbell's didn't have our part number so it had to be ordered and we were told they would take care of it first thing in the morning. We were told we could camp out in their parking lot, which we did. About 7:30am we saw the parts truck pull in and by 7:50 our Motorhome was pulled into the bay and work began. We sat in their "waiting room" that was in the same room as the Parts Desk and Service Desk. I watch/listen to people, so I had a front row seat to see and hear what went on. They were busy. I saw a hard working group of people striving to provide excellent, accurate service to their customers. Some were long time customers who had become friends. Regardless of who you were, you were treated with care and respect. There was a camaraderie among the workers. I didn't sense any degrading of anyone. They worked professionally and truly as a team. When our work was done (about 10am), they went over the work that was completed. A couple of hours later we received a call from Ed checking to see if we were happy with the service we received. VERY!!! From Ed & Wayne in Service, to the mechanics that answered some questions to Ron & Joe in Parts - THANK YOU!!
