The fenced outer circle is an obstacle course for Fido. The inner fence circle is a mini oval which is the off-leash area. All of this is next to the Woodside rugby and soccer oval. Whoever planned this deserves five stars!

For just $13 you get entry for the entire day, the centre caters for children of all ages with a three tier playground for 4-12 year olds and a smaller area with a ball pit, jumping castle and slides for 1-3 year olds. The cafe menu is fantastic, it includes hot meals, drinks, sandwiches, cakes and biscuits. The Centre caters for birthday parties and hosts special events over the school holidays. For just $99 you can purchase an annual pass which allows unlimited entry and other bonuses such as 10% discount on the cafe and discounts on birthday parties.

I am very disappointed and astounded at the shocking customer service Go Wild centre at Strathpine…read more I contacted the centre in advance via telephone to advise that I would not be hiring a party room, but would be bringing 12 children to celebrate my son's 5th birthday. I advised that I would be utilising shop-a-dockets for 'buy one entry and receive a second free' and that I would be paying for all the children myself. I was advised that I would have to use multiple dockets and that there was a limit to two dockets per transaction. At no time did the staff member advise me that if I was utilising the shop-a-dockets on the internet, that I would only be able to use one voucher and that all other vouchers would be invalid. I arrived at the centre at 9am with 12 children (and their parents). I was confronted with a staff member at the counter arguing with me about the shop-a-dockets' validity, telling me that I would not be able to use the vouchers as they all had the same code printed on them and that I would only be able use one. I would therefore be charged full price for 10 children. Another parent presented two shop-a-dockets that had been cut out from the back of a shopping receipt. Apparently these vouchers were acceptable and I was able to use them, however I was still charged full price for 5 children. Another staff member approached the counter and advised that they had experienced the same problem recently with other customers trying to utilise the internet shop-a-docket vouchers and that he would be contacting shop-a-docket tomorrow. I can't understand why one type of voucher can be honoured numerous times and the other readily available and not valid more than once, without any such terms and conditions listed. I advised that I would also be purchasing meals for the 12 children and that they would still be receiving further funds as a result of our visit. I was very embarrassed in front of the other children's parents and other customers that had formed a queue outside the door, waiting to come in to Go Wild as it took approx. 20 mins for the staff to sort out this issue. I can't believe that the vouchers were not honoured as a token of good will and good customer service. The parents of the 12 children concerned, were appalled at the situation and told me that they would never in the future consider coming to Go Wild for their own children's birthdays. The parents advised me that I should place my complaint onto your Facebook page. I noted on your website that you say "Go Wild Activity Centre is a family-owned and locally operated business. Our friendly team includes blue-card staff and we pride ourselves on providing excellent, quality customer service that is down-to-earth and friendly. You are one of the family at Go Wild!" The reason for my complaint today, is to bring this episode to your attention so that hopefully it will not happen to other parents trying to provide a Happy Birthday experience for their child.

Situated next to a park with play equipment such as see-saw boards, swings, a train, climbing pirate ship complete with climbing rope net, fireman pole and slide, and so much more. Fully fenced with plenty of bench seats and covered seating areas for those who are past the climbing stage and inclination to swing around the play equipment like a three year old aka mums. You can stop in here for a quick play or a longer adventure, with the beach a stone's throw away. Not the best for building sand castles but all you need for a splash in the waves on a warm day. Being situated so close to the beach means on warm days, you barely notice it thanks to the constant cool ocean breeze. If you're coming in winter, bring your jacket and your beanie, that breeze has a bite. However, these aspects are not why this is MY favourite park. Sand and climbing trees are not enough to woo this caffeine lover over, despite happy girlies tuckered out after hours of play with me enjoying the blissful silence and peace that comes with happily entertained children. It is the fact that a walk over the road opens me up to a world of great coffee shops, sandwich 'bars', fish and chip shops and other similar take away options. It makes it a full day adventure for them, and me.

If you've got a young family there are playgrounds and bike paths to adventure forth on. If you're looking to hold a birthday, there are a number of sheltered areas and barbecues to cook those feasts on. For those with sea faring escapades in bind, for your vehicle there's a boat ramp for easy access into the water. If it's a nice day, sometimes my wife and I just grab a bite to eat from one of the nearby takeaways, unravel the picnic blanket and enjoy some afternoon nosh. For those visiting Redcliffe, there is an information centre right at the park's entrance where you can find a whole lot to do in this beautiful part of Brisbane.

Suttons Beach in Redcliffe is one of the best places to spend a day with the family. So popular and picturesque is the Suttons Beach, on any weekends you can find a number of happy couples getting married. Because it gets very busy on the weekends be prepared to park a few blocks away. For those that do enjoy a good walk, there is a bike path that goes from one end of Suttons Beach all the way into the Redcliffe shopping district. Also, for those that enjoy a great cuisine, Suttons Beach is also home to a restaurant by the name of Sails. Sutton's Beach is definitely one of the highlights of Redcliffe you must visit.

This…read morebeach absolutely beautiful and a great place to spend a day with the family or a loved one. I came here with my family during the low tide- around the middle of the afternoon. We dipped our feet in the water and walked towards the ocean for what felt like kilometres- the low tide here is phenomenal as you can just keep walking further and further from land and the water will only reach your ankle. During that walk we noticed millions of tiny soldier crabs hovering around and because the water was so clear, the occasional exotic looking fish made an appearance through the water. The beach was very calm and quiet which was refreshing compared to the beaches on the Gold Coast. After this walk, my family and I had a picnic by the beach, there was plenty of green grass available and even some BBQ for us to cook on. We stayed to watch the sunset, which was a breathtaking view. I am glad I have discovered this beach, it is one of the most pleasant beaches that I have encountered in a while.

A lot of things may have been better when we were young but public parks have changed for good since the last time I could fit my arse into one of those child secure swings. Lower Moora Park at Shorncliff is an example of what I'm talking about. For the younger kids there's a giant sand pit with colourful rockers that spring back and forth. It's the perfect setting for an impromptu game of quicksand using the rocking animals as magical seahorses to escape. Why seahorses - because it's been proven that seahorses are cooler than dragons. There are also these interconnected huts with slides, ladders and bridges. I see a young girl holing up in one of these huts with a tea set, pretending it's her house and having hissy fits when the other kids trample through it. I see it as a perfect cubby house for older kids. I see a game of Mr Wolf trying to get into the hut. This is what I mean when I say this park is fabulously fun. Some playgrounds consists of just swings, slides and fort-like contraptions. Other playgrounds like Lower Moora Park provide a whole set design for kids to make up a myriad of games. This is a great picnic space having shady tables, BBQs and a million dollar view of the sea. There's also a nearby cafe for coffee and cakes. Shorncliff may be a bit far to drive if you live on the South side but there's at least half a day's fun guaranteed. NB: Parking can be difficult and the park is not fenced

Crockatt Park is another favourite spot for families and friends to gather at to have an afternoon…read moreout by the bay. I have spent many hours with family and friends here lapping up a lazy Sunday. The park has newly renovated facilities that include several new gazebos with electric barbecues, toilets, walkways and playgrounds. One of the favourite installations for children in the park is the flying fox. Close by there are some takeaway restaurants and coffee shops and also a bottle shop if you've run out of some good old ale or wine. There's also a jetty nearby where you can have a troll up or a fish off in the afternoon breeze. Be warned, it is a very popular spot, many birthdays and celebrations are spent here so its best to get in early and get a table or bring your own shade cover. However, once you're settled you're going to enjoy every minute.
