I called to make a sick appt and was promptly told by Joyce there are no appointments and didn't even offer to have the dr call something in . I guess this is why more and more people seek out help from urgent cares bc regular office staff either wants to just go home or don't want to be bothered . The office staff is horrible !

The front office staff don't need to be working in a medical office. They need to be slicing cheese down at the Super-Fresh, and not the imported stuff either. Keep them away from the Finlandia.

As for the the superwoman in the Jenkintown office, now she will find an appointment for you and if she can't then no one can! But since recently another larger company took them over, the practice has been very very difficult to deal with. Endless phone transfers. Very difficult to make a same day appointment with ANY of their doctors if you are suddenly suffering and need help. Either no return calls or very delayed returned calls. Sometimes you reach call centers only. Can not longer make appointments to get your shot. Just have to go on "shot days" and wait around. So disappointing. This negative review is NOT meant to in any way reflect poorly on their providers for staff. They are fine. But unfortunately a once great practice obviously got bought by corporate money grubber's who clearly care more about their bottom line than they do about the convenience of their patient's. If you have all the time in the world they may be an okay choice for you. But if you're a busy person in need of practice that has any concern for your time, don't go to this practice.

After so many years I tell myself that we are among his favorite patients, but it's probably how he makes all his patients feel. I like how I never feel rushed when I'm in the room with the doctor, and if I'm there for one specific issue, he asks me questions about other aspects of my health, ie. what else is going on? My son started with Dr Mike's brother Dr Jay at birth and continued until he aged out of going to a pediatrician (which was a surprisingly sad day for me!) and now he too is doing great with Dr Mike. I always thought that one of the things you sacrifice with city living is receiving personal care…read morefrom your primary physician. For the past few year I'd been going to the Jefferson Community Medicine Center whenever I needed a prescription or wasn't feeling well, never seeing the same person twice and usually even the follow up appointments were with someone new. Long story short, my father had received atrocious and frankly shameful treatment from Jefferson that would eventually lead to his untimely passing away and although it was in a different department I really just wanted nothing to do with Jeff ever again. I figured instead of looking on my insurance website for a PCP why not try Yelp since I use it for everything else which led me to Triangle Medical and Dr. Watkins. From the jump I could tell Dr. Watkins was different, he took the time to listen to me, ask me questions, and actually took my concerns into consideration. I've been seeing him for almost a year and we have uncovered several health issues that could greatly affect me down the road and have actively made a plan to get them taken care of. Having complete faith in a physician was something I never thought I'd feel after what happened to my father but the level of comfort and confidence I have with Dr. Watkins really gives me a feeling of security. The Triangle Medical office is on 10th St. right by Cheu Noodle Bar (which is also a huge bonus if your hungry post appointment). The waiting room is small but comfortable and I've always been able to get an appointment within a couple days of calling which is nice. Yesterday I was on the phone with my insurance company and they were trying to figure out the medical code for a CAT scan I needed so they called the office. When the lady came back on with me she said she was shocked she was actually able to speak with Dr. Watkins and that he was the nicest doctor she'd ever spoken with. I'm straight and before I came here someone at my gym said they thought Triangle was geared more towards the LGBT community. To my knowledge despite a heightened sense of style and killer dance moves, gay and straight men are genetically the same, get sick, and require the care of a compitent physician. I've referred my gay friends here just a much as my straight friends. I really feel fortunate I found Dr. Watkins and am grateful for the part he's playing in my well-being.

He has squeezed me in at the very last minute, and STILL didn't rush me out without making sure that we covered everything. I have 100% confidence in his technical and medical knowledge, and I actually like the fact that he often has medical students in the office seeing patients...this speaks to the trust that the local med schools have in his abilities, and I also feel that someone who teaches is, at the same time, constantly learning. Whenever I've needed blood work, he doesn't send me to a lab...he takes the blood right then and there (which is good because, in the past, doctors have given me scripts for blood work, but I'd never go). In the past, I've had to go back twice in one week and he made sure that I wasn't charged for the follow up visit....maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think every doctor would be so considerate. In a nutshell, I've been so happy with Dr. Watkins that I felt compelled to write a review here on Yelp! People DESERVE to have a doctor like Mark and in return, he deserves the business.
