For over two weeks, I have been going back and forth between the pharmacy, my health insurance company, and the office simply trying to obtain my glucose test strips. Unfortunately, this is not a one-time issue -- this happens every time I need refills. I have made countless calls to the office, my insurance company, and the pharmacy. My pharmacist has also contacted the office directly and expressed frustration with the ongoing delays and lack of resolution. Multiple insurance representatives have contacted the office while I was on hold and repeatedly explained that a prior authorization was required. Each time, I was told the authorization would be submitted. One representative from the office, Kathleen, specifically informed me that the prior authorization had already been submitted and that the office was simply waiting for a response from the insurance company. However, after speaking again with my insurance company the following day, I was informed that no prior authorization had actually been submitted. This was extremely frustrating and concerning, especially after being told otherwise. Today, the same process happened again. A representative from my insurance company contacted the office while I was on hold and spoke with someone named Jackie, who was faxed the prior authorization form again because the office stated they did not have the forms that had previously been sent by several other insurance representatives. Unfortunately, this is the same thing I have been hearing since last week, yet the issue still remains unresolved. I even sent a formal email to Nichelle Edwards, Director of Clinical Practice, explaining the situation and the ongoing problems obtaining medically necessary diabetic supplies. As of today, I still have not received a response. No patient should have to repeatedly advocate for themselves and endure this level of confusion and delay just to obtain essential diabetic testing supplies needed to properly manage their health. I called to ask if I could come in early because I was already in jersey. First thing I asked was she physically at the location. She told me she was and that my doctor was booked up till 5. Come to find out at my phone appointment that my doctor and assistant were actually calling people since I had originally called to come in early. This same person then swore my doctor was booked for 3 months. I said it 3 times, and she still booked my appointment for only 1 month. Quite possibly the worst customer service I have ever experienced. If you enjoy and want the ability to call for fair customer service, THIS IS NOT THE PLACE YOU SHOULD BRING YOUR BUSINESS

I now have a battery of labs to get and return for a follow-up visit. Hands in prayer ... I found Penn's overall staff to be kind, courteous, and proficient. The building was big and sunny; its sections are designated by colors, which is nice.

After a horrible experience with a local gyno (where she convinced me that I was depressed -I'm not, it's called PMS- and needed to be on happy pills), I've been a bit skeptical of docs. After reading Julia's review, however, I decided Dr. P sounded like my kinda woman, "someone I would love to have a beer with?" say no more. So I scheduled my appointment on Friday and they were able to put me in on Monday. I showed up at 3:30 (my assigned time), fearing I'd end up spending my entire afternoon there. Within 10 minutes I was seen by a nurse and within another 5 Dr. P showed up. She's just awesome. Totally conversational, quick to put you at ease, thorough... We talked about my medical history, she ran through a few exams, prescribed some medicine for my nagging cough, and sent me off for some blood work. I was out of the office by 4:15! She also referred me to a new gyno and dentist. All in all, Dr. P is terrific, thanks Yelp.

Half the time when I call, I get a busy signal, and don't have the opportunity to even leave a voice mail. I can't believe that in 2019 I'm getting a busy signal. Sometimes I have to call 3 or 4 times before I even get through, and then I'm put on hold. Then when they finally get on the line they sound annoyed at having to speak to you. Again, the doctor is fine, he's got a great attitude and doesn't make you feel rushed, but the office staff needs improvement.

The only black cloud hanging over that office is their front desk receptionist. (The crazy black-haired lady who wears glasses). She acts like every person that walks up to her window is a nuisance to her time. She's very dismissive and outright rude. This isn't a one time occurrence. I've been going here for years, along with my family, and she's always been this way. I'm surprised she's lasted there this long. Good luck dealing with her if you go there.

I'm not a fan of vomiting and haven't really done it since i was a little girl and prefer to keep it that way. Point is, I needed to get better pronto so I didn't miss any more work days unpaid. I called them up without insurance and got in that same day! In fact, they got me in an hour after I called. The doctor was very friendly. I didn't wait long although the waiting room filled up quickly with only about 8-10 seats (not a huge deal).I was very pleased with the treatment as well as the price for no insurance- $60 for the visit and $30 for two prescriptions!
