Second time was when it was publicly opened with the store naturally over crowded with lots of curious people and then the third when things were quieter and I was able to get the full retail experience. I've been using Urban Decay for years, however, as far as selection goes compared to what they have in their library was disappointing. The first problem is that clearly there was no market research done for the area. The skin colour and type that culturally dominates the city has very little to offer in terms of tone compliant foundations and powders. I know they have one of the largest libraries of skin match Make up for Asians.....where were these? Not a huge deal but still worthy to bite as an example. I love bold punk rock colours. I am a niche, however, a little more colour in their general pallet would help them stand out more. Thankfully Mac is across the street for all my bold colour needs. I found the sales person a little annoyingly pushy and felt uncomfortable that she couldn't take her eyes off me the whole time even though I had no pockets are back pack. I picked up some eyeliner that is my regular brand. A bit of a mark up but not hugely noticeable

After I walked inside it was nothing like they had promised. Alright, there are holes where the samples are supposed to sit, but it is either empty or the sample is extremely beat up. When I asked someone if there is another tester somewhere, perhaps they could open one up (WHICH IS WHAT SEPHORA DOES, BY THE WAY), she shrugged like she could't care less and said "no". There is also no tissue or any other disposable applicator for you to comfortable test anything, even though the containers for them exist. When I asked for tissue they said they don't have any, and gave me the tiniest cut up makeup sponge instead. I wandered around in the store for a good 15-20 min, and no one approached me. Yes, I was dressed up. Yes, I looked like I was ready to buy something. Sometimes at Asian places if you look like a bum they don't bother approaching you. It shouldn't be like this but it is the ugly truth. But even then, if you flag someone down and ask for help, they would be willing to help you, albeit reluctantly. I asked someone for help, even though she was with another client, I was willing to wait for my turn. Instead of saying things like "sorry I'll just be a moment", she simply told me they're really busy at this time maybe come back later. Basically none of the workers look like they wanna be there. I gave this place a 2 star because it is bringing K-beauty products to a centralized place and I will probably succumb and buy something in the future for lack of alternate outlets. But I would probably do my research online and just pay for the item and leave.
