The prices are also reasonable compared to what I am used to in Miami. Store employees are also very friendly and helpful. Not a liquor store as they definitely sell beer but not liquor. It also sells soda, milk and other sundry items. Service is quick, as it essentially is a drive thru. You just pull in, tell the attendants what you need, they load your car and you pay. This is great especially in the winter, when you certainly do not want to get out of your car!

It has a deli that makes sandwiches or sells you cut meats or cheeses, it will sell you fresh steaks, it has a varied selection of candy, jelly beans and fine chocolates. It has gourmet coffee for sale. There are gift baskets for purchase. It's pretty much a one stop shop for a great party or perhaps a romantic dinner! I came twice to this store already, and plan on coming much more often. The first time, I came to check it out. I kept hearing from so many people I work with that this place is great. They are right! I was pleased to finally find a liquor store that sold at least one of my favorite wines (Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio) and had other wines I would truly. I was happy to find out the store sold one of my favorite brands of chocolate (Sanders) and even had its sea salt version! It also has craft beers! Awesome! I talked to the owner, great guy. He told me about the steaks and how I can order certain cuts and he would have them shipped to the store. He even advised that if there was a certain wine I wanted that wasn't sold there, he would also have it shipped! Yes! I think he also mentioned (and it's on their menu) that they sold hot foods on certain days before 4:00 pm... including soups, bbq pork, and other meals. hmmm will have to see and check it out. I came a second time during the chocolate walk. They were handing out plenty of chocolate treats but also booze! They had Rumchata Limon, A Pabst Blue Ribbon Beer that tasted like coffee and a dark chocolate wine. If you know me, you can guess I went for the wine! Wonderful! Will have to buy some in the future! Someone I met during the chocolate walk said it was a bit too strong for her taste... not for me... perfect! Chocolaty goodness that with the liquor warmed me up during an especially frigid day during the chocolate walk! Great place! I have to come back once I have finished settling into my new house!

Rudy's is located in the middle of a residential neighborhood. It's a homey place that looks almost…read morelike a fraternity house, with a big patio, Nirvana playing in the background (literally, All Apologies was playing from a speaker somewhere when I rolled up), and this chaotic energy that I can't place. I think some of that energy starts with the sign on the door that says that you need to be prepared to show that you're 21+ in order to enter. I entered, and no one asked me whether I was over 21. Alrighty then! I visited because I wanted a bottle of wine to take back to my hotel. I read that Rudy's has wine, and they do, but it's a small wall of wine with maybe a dozen different bottles. Two of the bottles are from Oliver Winery (too sweet for me, I already know), and maybe four other bottles also looked light and sweet. I ended up finding a decent-looking Pinot Noir that was a little more than I wanted to pay initially, but once I opened it, I could see where the extra couple of bucks went. It was a good bottle of red. But, if you're looking for a variety of wines, this is not the place to visit. And if you're looking for beers, the same applies. They do have some beers in a refrigerator, but they're sparse. Mostly, though, Rudy's is a cigar bar, and everything about it screams cigars once you step inside. I know very little about cigars beyond what my dad has imparted upon me; he has taken up smokin' stogies in the past couple of years. I think he would love this place, and if you're a cigar smoker, I think you might love it, too. It's just not my vibe, but I'm glad it exists for those who it vibes with.

Though it's called a shop, it seemed to me to be anything but. It's a cigar house, yep, a literal house with a porch, a front yard with seating and a view of a baseball field, a member lounge complete with a full kitchen, amazing back yard seating areas culminated with an incredible two-story deck. They carry a pretty great selection of cigars and accessories, local wines and chocolates, drinks, snacks, and Rudy's merch. I'd travel back to Fort Wayne just to hang out there. The owner is originally from Michigan. The staffer who graciously served as my guide shared with me that the shop folk take a cigar train trip twice a year. The Wine Sellers is a liquor store that happens to make the best pizza in all of Lima, OH! I love that I can go in, grab a 6 pack of beer, grab a pie and go! The only down side is that it IS just a liquor store, so there is no seating. Its strictly take out. Their crust and sauce tastes like they put wine in it. It has a sweet taste but it isnt overbearing. Its just simply amazing! The cheese is the right amount and is just delightful! Also they cut the pizza into tiny squares, and for some reason, for me, it always makes the pizza taste better when its cut into sqaures. My aunt used to live next door, and I would walk to the Wine Seller on an almost daily basis to fulfill all my candy, drink and pizza needs! Can't wait to get back to Lima and have a couple slices!

Coming down the highway back from a trip to Michigan, there was a billboard highlighting their craft beer selection at this Marathon gas station. I decided to make a stop in and was not disappointed. A good amount of brews on hand from various Ohio as well as Michigan breweries that I saw, and prices were pretty decent overall. There was only one person working and she was not as up to sped in the beer, but she was friendly and courteous, and offered any details she could. If you are a beer drinker passing through on I75, then do yourself a favor and check out what they have to grab for your next destination.
