Just wanted to drop another quick review on Kekionga, as it's one of North FW's gems... Arguably, Kekionga has the best chicken in FW... Both their nuggets and tenders are out of this world, and unquestionably better than Cane's (which is overrated imo). All-in-all, the food is great, the ciders are excellent, always has friendly service, and it's a super chill place to come on the weekend if you want a laid back place with out the routy crowd. read more

LOVE to visit Kekionga when I'm in the Fort Wayne area. They are a craft cidery in town but have all kinds of yummy beers, spiked seltzers and more. The wine slushies are pretty amazing on a hot day. I'm not a big beer fan but I've tried many of their ciders. They are delicious. Today we went in for their last summer chicken and waffle Saturday. It was so good! We tried the blueberry smash waffle and s'mores smash waffle. We also grabbed some chicken nugs and Keiki sauce. Everything was so yummy and cooked to perfection (and gluten free). Dare I say those nuggs are a bit better than Chick-fil-A? I'm so glad we were able to grab those waffles today. The service was also fantastic during our visit. Everyone was helpful and made the ordering process easy. We got our food and drinks pretty quickly and had a fantastic afternoon. Can't wait to go back my next time in Fort Wayne! read more

I absolutely love cider, it is my go to drink. I was stoked to find this place nearby and we ventured out for my birthday. We arrived about an hour before closing so we had the place to ourselves. There was a huge storm and the roof is tin so it sounded awesome! We snagged some chicken nuggies with a variety of dipping sauces and one of each cider to try. There were a few of the ciders that were a little too dry for me. Everyone enjoyed the crisp, the grape and the strawberry. All of the others were ok. Nuggies are decent too but I definitely wish there was more of a variety on the menu. Definitely would be back for the ciders we enjoyed. read more

Went for the cider flight of their 4 summer offerings and shared an appetizer. They were very busy so tables outside were all taken. Sat in main room with the bar. The service was good (you ordered at the bar & they buzz you when ready) & prices fairly typical. My husband grew up in the area & remembered when it was a barn & event space. We didn't try the wine or beer offerings but wasn't impressed with wine offerings. The food was pub-type but enough to share. We each liked 2 of the 4 cider flights- 1 different ones & 1 the same. One neither one of us liked. The Fall ciders were due to be released about 9/5 or 9/6. They sounded intriguing and we would have gone back to try them if we lived there. read more

Went here on Sunday and had a great experience! The vibe is really chill in here. It's a bit dark inside but outside is bright and inviting. Everything was pretty clean also considering it is an old mill. Fun to look at all of the little history tidbits and merch they have and the facility itself is very interesting to explore. The bartenders were lovely and helpful especially since we have a few people with allergies. I appreciate how patient they were with us especially since we had kids with us. Generally this place is kid friendly! Ordering is tavern style, so you go to the counter and place it and they'll buzz you when your order is up. They had quite a few of their own ciders, one of their own beers and a few local brews on tap. They also had their own kombucha available and it was quite tasty! There's not a lot of options for non fizzy drinks other than water - just tea either sweetened or not. We decided for our 2 adults and 2 small kids on a pound of chicken nuggets, a burger and fries to share and it fed us pretty decently. The burger was delicious and cooked medium by default. The chicken nuggets were home made, gluten and egg free and I could tell they actually cut up the chicken that day. The fries were a little on the salty side since they use popcorn salt, but they were nice and fresh! We tried the vamp dust and their normal barbecue. The barbecue was a little on the sweet side but tasty! The vamp dust had a little heat without being overly so and a great garlic flavor. Definitely want to try more sauces next time we go. Overall, I definitely would recommend this place and would come back in a heartbeat! read more

Their Hard Cider is great and well worth the visit - lots of selections and some wine and beer options too. The location is fun and inviting. They've made some improvements over Covid including a beautiful patio in front along the road. Their revamped food menu is a little uninspired - chicken tenders with sauce and that is the sum total of your options. The tenders are decent, not great - the sauce selection is good, their fries are really some of the best I've had in the Fort. I'm not 11 anymore so it's tough to get extremely excited about a menu that's 100% fried chicken tendies. read more

A really unique place in Fort Wayne! They've got tons a hard cider and wine, as well as some canned beers. The hand breaded chicken tenders were the reason we came, and they were delicious. Very neat place! We got 2 flights (4 each) to try them all. Lazy foal (tastes like a wooden bourbon barrel) and apples and pears oh my were my favorites! The building is super neat and the apple press is visible. You can grab a table and play cards or other table top games with friends. They have corn hole and live bands as well. read more

The building was really cool and I really enjoyed reading the bits of history they have hanging on the walls. The staff was friendly and eager to answer any questions that we had. However, let me start by saying- I enjoy ciders but IPA's are usually my go to, so my assessment of their product may not be geared towards someone who really is into ciders! We sampled all 8 taps and I can honestly say no one in our party of 4 liked a single one. There was one or two that were slightly just "okay" but the rest was just not good at all. I think this place has some real potential in its future and would probably stop in again in like a year to give it another go. read more

Cool atmosphere, it's a little weird that you have to order your food and drinks separate and that kids are allowed in. But overall it was a good experience. We tried a flight and all of the ciders were good but I settled on a Brass Cannon that my husband dubbed alcoholic apple juice but it was easy to drink especially for me who isn't a fan of carbonation. It's always so much fun to have one's expectations exceeded.... hooray Kekionga Cidery! We pulled up to their location and parked across the road at Goeglein's reception hall, as the place was hopping on a Saturday afternoon, about 6 p.m. Entered the dim and slightly musty lower level bar room, which was packed but were greeted and welcomed immediately by a gal at the bar. There were four ciders on tap that day and we decided to get a flight to sample each. Every one was refreshing, mildly fruity, not too sweet, and each with it's own slightly different character. I feel as though anyone ("beer person" "wine person") could enjoy thesWe were sold enough that we stayed for a pint each! Apparently there will be food in the future, on the day we visited there was a food truck outside. The buildings and property are of some historical interest, we'll have to delve into that on our next visit, which WILL be soon. UPDATE: stopped in on a Friday night with our son and daughter-in-law. We were surprised to find that nothing seemed to have changed.... still no food, no changes to the atmosphere which is still quite dark. Everyone enjoyed what they tried but we weren't enticed to stay and had our next round elsewhere. Hope they are going to be able to keep up and grow this business, because they have a good product. read more

We visited this venue for the first time during an organized Yelp event. The facility is a work in progress. The owners are restoring a 1929 cider mill while keeping the best of the structure and heritage. So keep that in mind when visiting. It was very exciting to see owners that have a passion about their product and about the heritage of the building and the region. Their hard cider flavors are original tasting, very unique, and I'm pretty sure they have a flavor to please any adult preference. My wife likes sweet, I'm a beer guy...and we both found something we loved. When in doubt, I don't think you will go wrong trying their staple flavors; Brass Cannon is sweet (just what my wife likes) and I preferred the Old Bicorn. Be sure to ask the bar keep about the story behind the names. Sometimes a Fort Wayne history lesson, others are just plain FUN! We're looking forward to watching the Kekionga Cider Mill name and site grow!! It's neat to visit now but oh, what a great venue it will be when the owners realize their dream! read more

Went to get some cider last weekend with a $42 gift card we had from a couple years ago with some friends. Asked to fill up a growler. They did not want to honor the gift card, so they said they would just comp us the price of our order, that totaled $22. So at this point they are already $20 ahead. The cider was flat which might have been caused by switching out the keg mid pour. We mentioned this to an employee who said she had to wait for mangers authorization. The table next to us also said theirs was flat and complained but they wouldn't do anything for them, so they dumped it out. The manager asked why we weren't happy with it and we told her it was flat, she said it was fine and wouldn't do anything about it, so we had her dump it out. The manger was cold and not caring at all. We we're out our drink and our $42 gift card. They could have just refilled the growler with something else, and gained customer appreciation but they must have so many customers they can lose some to poor service. Would never return to this place, would never recommend. Go somewhere you can expect good friendly quality service. read more

I am not particularly a hard cider person, but Kekionga's cider is fantastic. One of the the owners is almost always tending bar and have great stories to share about the history of the cider mill, and the names of the cider. Watching to see what the Kekionga Cider Company does next is almost as enjoyable as sampling their rotating list of four different hard ciders. The Goeglein family and their cider mill are a Fort Wayne tradition. Kekionga Cider with Logan and Tyler are just their next evolution. read more

I attended an event here and was absolutely blown away. This up and coming spot is actually in an old cider mill across from Goeglines. Open to view is a cider press from 1929 that is totally operational. We had the pleasure of taking a tour of the facility which is rapidly growing. I love the history behind their business and the use of almost totally local ingredients. I loved all of the ciders I tried and the atmosphere was perfect to enjoy them. Dress for the weather! Due to this being a newer establishment, heating was still being addressed at the time of my first visit. Will be back to check it out again soon! read more
