The first thing my husband did was ask about the peaches. Of course that's the reason he went there. My search was for the peach preserves like my great grandmother made. I didn't stop there, I saw many condiments, salad dressings, old fashion candies. They also have a dessert eatery inside. Customer service was very insightful. Because we didn't go for the activities or petting of the animals, I can't write much about that. Overall, on my next visit I will try the famous MiMi's pound cake which they rave about. Also, I want the blueberry donuts which they only have on the weekends. Doggonit, I went to early in the middle of the week. My husband is really enjoying his peaches. My wife and I arrived on a warm October day to enjoy the pumpkin patch and U-pick flowers. We arrived in the afternoon, but there was plenty of selection and nothing was "picked over." I paid $16 for a quart sized plastic vase for my U-pick flowers. They sell gallon sized buckets as well. Scissors and water are provided. Be mindful of bees in the field. They won't trouble you if you don't trouble them. There is an area in the back for you to arrange the flowers; I took full advantage of this because this trip doubled as a photo shoot. There were all types of people enjoying the farm; IG girls, families, even one couple using a wagon full of pumpkins as a baby announcement. Pumpkins range from $5-$20 each depending on size and breed. A nice young man named Luke helped us corral our pumpkins and carry them to our car. I didn't know they offered that service, but we tipped well. If you run up an appetite, they have a snack bar with fritters, ice cream, and lemonade. I'll be back next fall!

The owners David and Tina were very welcoming, friendly, and very open to educating us about their farm, the lovely alpacas, their cats, and the super cute guard dog, Bodhi. During the private experience, we interacted with the alpacas and fed them their breakfast, our session was at 10am. We really enjoyed the stories the owners told us about the alpacas and the farm. I really loved the experience as it was just for our group and we throughly enjoyed it, I didn't have to worry about crowds and I wasn't rushed. If the opportunity presents itself to either visit Decimal Place Farm on an organized tour and/or to eat their various cheeses such as chevre and feta, go for it. It's amazing to think about how this goat farm is just outside the perimeter and in close proximity to the airport, as evidenced by the numerous jets zooming by overhead. Farmer Mary is passionate about her gang of genial goats and the delightful cheeses that they produce at this family-owned establishment. Plus she's a super nice lady in general and happy to talk about farming, cheesemaking, and nature. You can't just drive up to the farm and buy cheese, but they're sold at markets such as the Freedom Farmers Market and are a favorite of many chefs at popular Atlanta restaurants. They do not let you eat strawberries on the farm...not sure why it's a COVID/CDC thing so that is tough with a 1 year old who is obsessed with strawberries. I came here with my two kids to pick some blueberries and got so much more! We came at the end of blueberries season due to a threat of low crops, but honestly we got out with a full 1/2 gallon bucket for $8. You can do a gallon for $16. Just drive up and pay via QR Code Cash App, Venmo, PayPal or just drop cash in the drop box. Due to COVID they have pre- cleaned buckets in a section for grabbing along with hand sanitizer with entrance instructions. Once you leave there is a "dirty" pile for buckets after use. Along with there 30+ blueberry bushes, the have a large area of 8-10ft tall sunflowers and other flowers they can pick for you to bring home. They also have other product like squash and peas for purchase. There are plenty of photo opportunities, but again be respectful. At the end/bottom of the farm near the animals they have shaved ice, drinks and seating area to hang out. They also have shaded areas to sit at with tables around the property. For animals they have their personal livestock with donkeys, a llama, goats, ducks, roosters, hens, and a peacock.
