I came to Decade looking for a pair of sunglasses because I forgot mine at home (nothing worse than being on a trip without sunglasses, especially when you're going to be outside most of the time). I ended up finding a really cute metal frame pair that I get compliments on all the time. While at Decade, I also browsed the rest of the store. There were tons of cute little gifts for all different types of interests (cooking, dogs, outdoors, astrology, humor, etc). I loved the wide variety of items and ended up buying my husband a pair of tuna socks (he loves fishing). So if you're looking for a good birthday, house-warming, wedding, baby shower, or holiday gift, I'm sure you'll find the perfect candle, soap, piece of jewelry, etched glass, hand towel, book, hat, or so much more at Decade. read more

Whenever I am on Broadway in Denver and I'm in the area where Decade is I almost have to duck in here every time. They have unique and fantastic home decor which I love. The last time I was in here I got an orange grenade... fake of course. I'm not entirely sure what the practical purpose is behind it but it's heavy enough that it makes a good paper weight. Currently it's in a book shelf holding up some of my DVD's so they don't keep flopping over on their side. It's a fun little accessory. They also have a fun clothing section but almost all of it is for the ladies however in the past... if memory serves I have bought t-shirts and some button down shirts as well which I love.... but that was a very long time ago. Decade also has some awesome greeting cards and magnets which have a brand of humor that you aren't going to find at any big box retailer which makes shopping or window shopping here all the more entertaining. read more

Update 7/23/18: I did go back into the store and they gave me a store credit for the shirt which they did not have to do. I got lucky and found the same shirt at a little hippie shop in Morrison for less than I paid before so I am a happy girl now with a new favorite shirt. This store is really cute and has some cool gifts. In the back they have clothing which is a little over priced. I bought a shirt from there, on sale for $40 so it was final sale, and I wore and washed it once now it is falling apart. Very disappointed in the quality from what seems to be a nice store. read more

How is it possible that I haven't written a review for this place yet? I mean I go there so often I must have just thought that I already had. Anyway, I adore this store. They sell an eclectic bunch of stuff from frilly, fancy panties to furniture to baby stuff. I've bought countless earrings and purses from here that I still love. I also love that everything in the store is for sale, with the exception of the store cat (and probably workers). It's a bit pricey, but higher quality stuff tends to be so that's no surprise. And the people working here always just let you browse without bothering you, unless you ask for help and then they are quite helpful. It's a dreamy shopping experience. read more

Cute store. Fun stuff for everyone in the family including pets! Kids stuff is very cool! cool jewelry too. The only thing I find lacking here is the lame staff. Sure, you might work in a neat place, but come on! It is a store! Before I was spoken to by anyone in here, I had to hear about one salesperson's dating experience and texting experience as related to another salesperson. Sometimes I have come in here and been totally ignored. Now, I am not one who likes to have a personal shopper follow me around, nor feel that I am being watched like a hawk either, but it would be nice to be at least recognized as a customer. Decade Gifts - Awesome place - Home Decor Near Me - Denver, Colorado

A friend of mine brought me here because he lives near Wash Park and is always hanging out around South Broadway with those fun shops and I would say so far this is my favorite shop. They supposedly have been around about 13 -15 years or so and this is the first time I have been here. They sell the cutest stuff and also everything in the store is for sale. They have a lot of "shabby chic"-esque furnitures and also really cute clothes and accesories. I loved it so much I came right back the weekend after and "threw some more money at them." I loved everything I bought here and if you are a "socks" freak they have so many options and choices. They also have some stuff for guys too but I think if you are a girl you'd love to shop here. I will definitely be back to this place, again and again. I'm sure if you are looking for gifts for people this will be the first place for me to come shop! Super adorable stuff! read more

What a fun store to browse around in for an hour or so. From fun trinkets to kitchenware, to baby, to jewelry, and purses--so much to see and everything is unique. Yes, a lot of it is pricey, but there are some sale areas as well. I ended up finding a lovely book of pie recipes that I'm excited to try out soon! read more

On my first visit to Decade, I only bought a greeting card. But I spent a lot of time browsing and was hit with sensory overload. There was so much fun stuff! I looked at their furniture (upholstered chairs, chests of drawers) and was impressed at the reasonable prices on vintage stuff that was in great shape. I brought my boyfriend back the next day. Before we even entered the store, he was ready to buy the chair outside on the sidewalk. Once we walked into the store, he too was overwhelmed--in a good way. We took our time and looked at everything. We asked how often they get new stock, as we were looking for a sofa. They happened to have gotten one just a few minutes earlier. A staff member took us out back to the garage, and we found our perfect sofa! As with much of their stuff, the price was incredibly reasonable for a vintage item of such quality. We'd seen similar (and even sofas with far more wear and tear) at other shops for three to four times the price Decade was asking. We paid for the sofa on the spot and picked up some cool sunglasses for me, a hip hat for the bf, and a birthday gift as well. We had family members help us pick up our furniture, but they have a person they can recommend if you need delivery of a big item. This is my new favorite little shop in Denver. I cannot go in and NOT find something I love. It's perfect for gifts as well. I've found birthday, work anniversary, Mother's Day, engagement gifts, and more so far just this year. The best part is the staff is so kind. It's so refreshing to step into a shop and see genuine smiles every time. The small talk at the register is always so pleasant and personal. Recently, after receiving a new debit card from my bank, I was having issues with a transaction and one woman at the register was SO great. She was patient with me while j called the bank and she even made calls to the card reading machine to try and help. Love decade!!! read more

This is another fantastic addition to the independent stretch of stores on South Broadway. I stopped in twice before Christmas, and purchased several gifts here. They've got clothing, jewelry, candles, high end bath products, and a ton of general gifts. The staff were helpful both times I went in, and prices aren't through the roof. I definitely fell in love with the baby boutique and the romantic section. They have the cutest panties ever, I was interested in the love-humor books and the sweet smelling candles. What, Decade? You don't issue refunds? Well, okay. Awesomeness. Seriously. My house is completely furnished from this store.. couch, wingback chair, desk, desk chair, pillows, you name it! While not my original intention, as I wandered the store I kept finding that more and more pieces knew my name and kept calling out to me! Fantastic prices too! I got all of the above named pieces, plus more for under $1000 total. They were kind enough to let me hold everything overnite till I could get back there with a truck to take half the store home with me! How is it possible that I've been walking past Decade for the last several years but have never stopped in? Shame on me because this place is fantastic. The store front looks incredibly tiny, but don't be fooled! This shop has several rooms that stretch far back! While the sheer volume of items in Decade can be a bit overwhelming, it's still a visual feast for the eyes. Most displays are collected into themes, so it's fairly easy to shop. Think weddings, bikes, children's items, Paris, etc. Decade reminds me of Pandora on 13th but much larger. There are so many fabulous little items that you're sure to find a fun, unique gift for a friend or for yourself. I will most definitely be back! read more

Very cool store on S. Broadway. From home decor to clothing, this place has everything. Great items for gifts or to shop for yourself! The clothing style reminded me of Anthropologie clothing and was just as expensive which was a bummer. :D I bought a sweatshirt from their sale rack and I love it. read more

I've been a customer of this store since it opened, and what I thought then still applies today. I WANT IT ALL. Whomever is curating the store does an impeccable job. I wandered in today b/c I was waiting for my yarn to be wound up at Fancy Tiger up the street. I tried on several super cute sweaters, saw several cute baby outfits, and some really nice bracelets. I wanted it all, but limited myself to one car coat sweater (I was looking for a sweater to wear with my new leggings anyway!) and a cute cuff bracelet. Not that there's anything wrong with that). I just wanted to express my love for this store. If you're an obsessive window shopper or browser like me, LEAVE YOUR WALLET AT HOME. There is so much that I want to buy here to fill up my nearly empty apartment. Sigh. I promise you, owners of Decade, that one day I'll stop browsing your store for the hell of it, and I'll buy something soon. After I pay the bills. And eat. But I digress. This shop is located in one of my favorite Denver neighborhoods, and it is one of my favorite CO boutiques. I'm surprised it took me so long to review it. The store itself is pretty big, and jampacked with all types of girly necessities. Flowery toiletries, one-of-a-kind jewelry and hair accessories, cards, candles, etc. The clothing is cute, worth taking a gander at. It's pricey, but quality made, and unique. Decade also has a small selection of vintage-type furniture. I'm jealous of the people who walk out of the store with that merchandise, because it's cute! The back of the store is dedicated to those of us (not me) with child. I venture away from that side of the store, but from the looks of it, there's some interesting items for the pregnant gals. Another section is for the risqué girls who want to show their man something nice or just feel good lounging at home in some cute lingerie. Good service, good merchandise, and a good cat. Yep, I said cat. There's a store cat that wanders around the store while you're looking. Don't worry, he or she doesn't crawl over everything (this is a plus for me since I have TERRIBLE allergies). How do they pack so much awesomeness into one small store? I know that the selection of items specifically for me is rather small, but it is very high quality and very stylish. The real reason that I think that Decade is awesome is that they are the ultimate one-stop shop to get outstanding gifty things for Mrs. S. Jewelry, belt buckles, clothing accessories, you name it...the proprietors pack the store with lots of style so you don't have to spend all afternoon shopping around. I was also pretty pumped when a) I found out that Mrs. S. was preggers, and b) Decade carries maternity clothing. Again, the selection is small, but it is all very good quality and they help make my honey look her best when she wasn't sure how to dress up that baby bump. They also have the most adorable selection of baby gifts. In store you'll find pretty much every accessory you'd ever need for a baby, from chic diaper bags to books to earth-friendly eating accessories. This selection is quite vast, though they don't carry a whole lot of clothes. read more

Adorable! This spot is great; it's full of little gifts/accoutrements/notions... I mean, you know how these things go. You'll spend more money than you intended to, and you'll walk out smelling delightful and your hands will be well moisturized with some artisanal, locally-made lotion. Stationary, perfume, handmade purses, handmade wallets, funny stickers/magnets, great jewelry; this place has it all. I got the mister two pairs of socks - one blue pair featuring constellations and one brown pair featuring little bikes - and a low-profile, handmade leather wallet. It's really nice and I think Luke likes it. I think. Also! Tokyomilk perfume: I love it, and have for a hot second now. "Dead Sexy" is a delightful, intoxicating and unique scent, despite its relatively shitty name. It's also hard for me to find it around here. GUESS WHAT? It's made in Denver so GUESS WHAT? I bought some because GUESS WHAT? Less than three oz., bitches. Were I to return to Decade I would purchase that super-rad ring I had my eye on. And that 2014 "carpe diem" planner. When my husband and I moved from San Francisco two weeks ago, we played a game of what-would-you-bring-with-you-to-Denver-from-the-City-if-you-could? One of my answers was my favorite gift shop near our house there. He found the reviews on Yelp for Decade and urged me to check it out. YAY! It is my favorite store from SF with even more! The bonus is that we live nearby, but the store has everything I loved about the other store: great gifts, fantastic cards, wonderful baby items and more with the clothing and furniture sections. I guess I got there late in the card inventory part of the week, because they seemed a little low, but I was assured that more were coming. Update: It turns out their card inventory is what it is, which is a bit lacking. Also, the staff is impersonal and not very friendly. In fact, they are usually huddled behind the cash register chatting with each other and not working the store to help people. They're nice enough, but not the reason I will continue to go back for more fun goods. read more

Two words come to mind when first opening the door to Decade. Strike that. Four words. Smells Good. (First Two.) Bohemian Hipster. (Three and Four.) YES, after perusing the Broadway used bookstores and thrift shops all day, walking into a store with a wonderful fragrance makes me feel like I'm alive and not a grandmother sifting through her worldly possessions in her attic. AND...everything in here is so BOHEMIAN HIPSTER. It's retro chic, shabby chic, pithy, you name it. I particularly liked all of the onesies and baby gear for the new, hip mama. They had onesies there that said 'I am Not a Boy' (and vice versa), 'I May Barf' and some of theprettiest diaper bags you ever did see. There's just awesome things inside these walls. Ever see a baby food organizer? It's a funky little tree to put all of that oddly shaped baby food. Neat! There's a clearance section in a corner that has really great deals. If I had a home, my greatest hope is for it to resemble, even slightly, this funky, sweet, amazing little shop with all of the great furniture and the fancy, lovely clothes and just the downright fabulous things. read more

I've been shopping at Decade for 10+ years (back when the women's stuff was in the back) and I don't think I've ever left empty handed. Sure, you can find Ella Moss and some of their mainstream brands at Nordstrom, but it's the won't-find-anywhere-else stuff that keeps me coming back. Think flowy tops, embroidered coats, and great accessories - things you'll wear year after year because of the compliments you'll get. Expect great, friendly service and a random cat that roams around greeting shoppers. read more

I used to live around the corner from Decade and I would walk uphill both ways to get there from my new 'hood! Decade is filled with treasures. I think every time I visit Decade I lap the store at least twice, discovering new gems each time I round the next corner. My girlfriend had a baby last night and I cannot wait to get to Decade to find her a unique, darling AND functional gift! A gift from Decade (for yourself or a loved one) is always well received, and you can find a special treasure on any budget. The staff is friendly and although you'll rarely see him unless it's after hours and he's lounging in the front window, the resident cat adds a fun touch. Enjoy! read more

Be prepared to browse for hours and to open your pocketbook. It seems that Decade and Target have one thing in common; it's hard to get out with only the items you came in for! Decade is what I imagine Pinterest to be like if it came to life! There are all kinds of fun, creative displays with unique gifts and items, many locally made. They also have a beautiful card collection, with something for every occasion. If you are looking for a unique gift for a bride-to-be, a mom-to-be, or really anyone you can think of, this is the place! Decade would be a fun stop on a SoBo neighborhood tour. It's rare to find anything that isn't at least double what you would be willing or expectant to pay for any given item. I understand quality is sometimes something you need to pay more for but I find Decade's prices a bit excessive. I personally, guiltily, bought a great simple little black dress here a while back, on clearance, and still paid over $100 dollars for what essentially was a cotton sheath. For those that can afford it, which nowadays may be few, Decade is wonderful store with intriguing offerings. read more

Talk about retail therapy!!! I love this store! I have spent many a day AND hours strolling around. Whether burning off a week by shopping for myself or wondering around to find unique birthday, graduation and holiday presents! It can be a bit pricey, but still worth it! There hasn't been a time where I have not been able to find a gift for someone! I once found a great bag for my close friend for her graduation. They also had a bowl full of "lucky charms", of which I purchased a handful and stuffed the pockets of the bag for my friend. Little "good luck" for after graduation! Everyone who works here is also helpful and polite. They can always offer up ideas if you need a little help on what to get someone. South Broadway is my new home for sure. I will be back here every weekend for much needed or not so needed shopping - How fun. This is a super unique place, full of everything and anything. Earrings, necklaces, clothing, magnets, furniture, underware, and other knic knacs. Good thing to note is that everything is on sale in this place, every piece of furniture is for sale so keep your eyes peeled for great finds that you may not otherwise notice at other stores. I was completely intrigued by a mirror on the wall framed with typewriter keys - that is freakin cool! I little out of my budget, but I just might be back to grab it up. Women's clothes for the most part are in the back of the store. Great collection of tops, pants, and dresses with unique quirks and embroidery. You know people won't have the same look as you if you wear something from here. Bonus is the store cat laying and sunning in the front window - how adorable. This has become my first stop for bridal shower, baby shower, and female birthday gifts. There's not much here that I can see myself carting home and either wearing or stuffing in my apartment, hence only four stars; however, there is a spectacularly varied selection of jewelry in every price range, making it a good bet for gift shopping for any female (or some male) friend or family member. The vintage furniture is very cute, and if your budget allows it, a nice piece would make a great housewarming gift for anyone in the post-college to early 40s age range. It would look out of place in my tiny and sparse apartment full of rat cages and dog toys, but the Decade look- very bohemian- is fitting for homes with almost any middle price range decor. If you're seeking a gift for a friend or family member whose tastes you're not certain of, Decade is a good start; after all, the selection is so wide and the store fairly large, so if they don't like it, include a gift receipt and they're sure to find something they do. read more

While I don't often purchase anything, I love looking around in this store. It's not that I don't want to buy anything....I just feel I always come in during that unfortunate period right before you get paid and don't have money for fun stuff. I need to change that. They have a decent selection for really cute ladies clothing....very basic/timeless (as in not so trendy that it it won't be "cool" next month) and a lot of it appears to have a flattering fit. They also have tons of gifts (aprons, cute underwear, housewares, petwares, etc.) and jewelry. What we're always drawn in by is the vintage furnishings and finally, this weekend, the boyfriend and I found the chairs we've been looking for. The pair was about $200 and while at least fifty years old, there's very little wear. Not bad considering the price tags in some of the South Broadway antique shops. They were easy to pick up too. We just gave them a call ahead of time and they were out in front waiting for us. Love this store! read more

What thank-you gifts do you get for two ladies that are more than twice your age? I didn't know, so I went to Decade. I figured that an artsy, eclectic store like that would somehow trigger my imagination. And it did! I severely underestimated the amount of time I would need to spend at Decade, but I used the 45 minutes that I had to scour every corner of the large shop. At one point I had armfuls of potential gifts, but then rational thought kicked in and I eliminated all but two- a soy candle and wine bottle topper. I also was able to score a baby gift: Petunia Pickle Bottom onesies. Here's a word of advice: the "sale" items on the website aren't necessarily the sale items in the store. Nonsensical, right? I whipped out my iPhone to contest, but they were kind to me and gave me the sale price anyways. Shhh....I probably wasn't supposed to tell you that! read more

I have to start that I have been a loyal customer of this amazing shop for many years. Sadly, after this visit I left almost in (pregnant hormonal) tears. I have loved this place so much that I even "registered" a few years ago for my baby shower and had all my friends get me tons of lovely things from here. I loved it so much that I came in last Wednesday (May 16th) to register yet again for my second baby. When I got there I was greeted by a lovely woman who treated myself and my son with such amazing greeting I got even more excited. Right away my son wanted to touch everything in the store and I told him we needed to respect the items and be careful. There was another woman behind the counter and I thought it would be helpful for my son to hear someone else reiterate that we need to be careful. I mentioned to the woman that we know the rule about being careful and not touching everything and would she mind telling my son too (to support out overall goal to not have anything broken). She met me with almost disgust and said absolutely not and I just need to tell my kid what to do. I felt so awful that I decided to walk around for a minute because I felt like I did something horribly wrong. We ended up leaving without trying to register for the baby shower but my son wanted an item from the children's section so we purchased it. As we got to the counter I apologized to the women if I made her feel uncomfortable and that I didn't mean to. She again met me with an angry face and told me it wasn't her job to discipline my child and added that she's not a "kid person". I can't say I'll never return but I definitely don't feel comfortable to come back at this point. This makes me so sad because I have loved this place for so many years and now I'm nervous to return. read more

Love this place. I like their furniture more than their small goods, but to each their own. They seem to have streamlined their product selection lately, which I think will be beneficial to them. I picked up an art deco desk here a couple years ago and love it. There was a vanity in there recently that I had to talk myself out of purchasing. I don't have room for more furniture. Really. I don't have room for more furniture. Or do I? The baby stuff is great. Jewelry is great. Kitchen accessories are great. Some vintage prices seem a little high, but I know that in a different market (Chicago, LA, NY) those pieces could easily be three times what they are here. read more
