Not an extensive list, but the choices are good!

This was an impromptu stop ... drive by, turn around and go back! After a fun evening activity, we were still a bit hungry, longing for something light to bite. Instead we found homemade ice cream! The kids working were great, if uninformed about gluten free options of ice cream*. They make their own! The Coffee Espresso (WHY, OH WHY didn't I get that?! It looked delicious in someone else's cone!!) But, I had the Red Raspberry Truffle, vanilla with swirls of raspberry sauce and little chocolate cups...and it was de-licious! Had the butter pecan in the bottom part of the cup, but I didn't care for it as much as I have other places. Edit: just remembered I had the caramel cashew (no wonder it didn't compare, LOL) They have both sugar and cake style gluten free cones for a small upcharge ... perfect! I'll hopefully be back, when I'm in the area again.

This is such a fun spot for mini golf! They have two 18-hole courses. Both of the courses are fun…read morewith exciting elements, but the lower course is more interesting than the top course. The first 9 hole of the lower course are handicap accessible and I'm not sure if just the first 9 of the top course is accessible or if the whole course is accessible, but there are more ramps and sloping ground in the top course compared to the lower course. One thing I appreciate about both courses is that they are not repetitive like many other mini golf courses. Each hole has a unique aspect to it. The score card also has an I-spy checklist on the back, which gives groups another activity to do while playing or waiting for the group ahead of you to finish a hole. This is optional, but it ties into their theme of Maine wildlife. Everything here feels cohesive and their layout is well-planned. However, I do wish there was more lighting for the upper course. We played that one second, so it was getting dark and a few areas were difficult to see. Especially if you're going in the evening, I recommend playing the top course first if playing both. Their ice cream options were also good, with several unique offerings from Hersheys as well as some standard options. The ice cream prices seemed reasonable and on par with other places in the area. The mini golf prices are higher than some other places I've been (especially for playing both courses), but the courses were fun.

While it looks really nice, unfortunately the courses themselves are just okay. It's very expensive…read morecompared to other mini golf courses in the state. And looks alone it would seem to be worth it, but once you get on the course it's really "easy". Each hole is almost exactly the same. There's no real obstacles or challenge. Maybe a turn or a rock, but that's really it. It was pretty boring. An 18 hole took about 20 minutes. It's all looks, but no attraction. And for the high price ($25 a person) it's not really worth the trip.

Spent a few nights "glamping" in a tent August 2025 & then a couple nights glamping in a cozy…read morelittle cabin February 2026. Love that they allow dogs. The tent & cabin were both very clean & comfortable. The campground community bath house (when staying in a tent or cabin w/out bathroom) was also kept clean. The cabins could use a bit more privacy - all the huge, gorgeous, picturesque windows are problematic as (particularly in the winter) there's several other cabins w/full view into your windows. It would be nice if it was more of a private / woods view than looking into other cabins. That said, my daughter & I enjoyed our time and have been repeat customers. Would give it 4.5 stars (Yelp doesn't give half star option, but I needed to account for the lack of privacy in several of the cabins in the area we were in.). Overall a great option & we'll likely be back!

What to do in Freeport? VISIT THE DESERT!…read more This has been on my list for years and it did not disappoint. I kinda found it odd to pay $21 to explore the dunes but here's what we got for the price: - unlimited train rides - Ability to wander the desert - Executed their scavenger hunt - the kids rode a massive slide (unlimited) - we explored a fair/troll maze - dug for fossils - visited an old gas station - walked through an old home - unique playground This place isn't just the desert (and I don't mean the mini golf.) It's a little hidden wonder that offer families things to do. My kids (4 and 13) were fully immersed in the experience. The oldest was keeping the youngest involved in the scavenger hunt which he loved looking for the 'red' guy. The hands on portions fully captivated them. I was worried the walking might be a lot for the little guy but he didn't complain not once. It was explorative and interesting. Keep in mind, on hot days I bet you feel it! Bring sunblock, wear hats, closed toed shoes are best and water. Also, the big blue slide in the rear of the desert shoots little ones out like a cannon! I thought he broke his arm but he was ok! You've been warned.
