The big draw for me was the "green" cleaning. I am reviewing for the Huntington location, but as I understand it, what you drop off here on West Hills Rd, goes to the Jericho location for cleaning. I recently bought my son 10 new dress shirts as he was starting a new job. They were expensive shirts ($65-75) and bought at a reputable local men's store...not a chain. The first 4 came back with cracked buttons in varying degrees of damage. They agreed to replace two of the buttons, but thought that the cracking on the others was not deemed necessary. So I went along figuring it was an anomolie and would replace the cracked buttons when they cracked more. I left them 3 more shirts. Big mistake! They too came back cracked (these were all on the cuffs) and the man in the store was completely unapologetic! Downright dismissive, pointing to a sign by the door that said "we are not responsible for buttons"...really? Obviously their process for smashing the press down on the cuffs was a problem, but he would not offer any replacement of buttons or anything. And, the shirt where they did replace the buttons? Not even close to the other buttons...complete mismatch like they picked them out in the dark.
Anyway...the store we bought the shirts from are trying to get replacement buttons from the mfg., and I've moved on to Pampers Cleaners in Plainview, which has been great...will review them next to send them business.
Do NOT go to Deb's if you have expensive clothes and value their care!
