Two years, wrong forms filed, serious money lost. He woke up only after I left a review…read more I hired James Jackson two years ago to file Form 8288-B for a FIRPTA withholding on a property sale -- a serious sum of money at stake. He charges $350/hour. He took the job, filled out and filed the forms, and the IRS rejected them. I originally chose him because of his 5-star Yelp reviews. After filing he went client hen I followed up, he kept pointing me to IRS Advocates -- people who couldn't make sense of what he'd filed. His response to my frustration: "The Advocate is the only solution that has worked for me in cases like this." Meanwhile, he admitted his own go-to CPA colleague "couldn't figure this one out either." His excuse for not calling the IRS directly? He couldn't get through -- too hard to bypass the automated system. That's not my problem to solve. That's what I paid $350/hour for. I knew from the beginning that a 1040-NR was the right path. He ignored that for an entire year, burned time on the wrong strategy, and only admitted it when the deadlines had already passed: "Now we finally know that a 1040NR is our only option. We didn't know that before." The only thing that got him to respond was a negative Yelp review. He called, promised to finish the work if I deleted it and paid more. I made the mistake of trusting him -- deleted the review and paid him more. He delivered nothing. I eventually had to handle everything myself. When I did, I was told his original filings were done incorrectly from the start. I left a second review. He called again asking me to remove it in exchange for finishing. I refused. One more thing: the address on his profile -- 10717 Wilshire Blvd, Suite 904, Los Angeles, CA 90024 -- is not a real office.

Mr. Jackson is amazing! I had tax litigation case with trial date approaching within a month. Prior…read moreto engaging Mr Jackson, I have contacted several other tax attorneys and all of them did not want to handle my case either because the amount in dispute was too small or the trial date was too close. But Mr Jackson was kind and listened to my case and determined that I had a case in my favor. His retainer and hourly rate was reasonable and after hiring him he quickly started on my case. He was communicative of the progress throughout the process, and the final outcome no tax liability assessed by the IRS! I would definitely recommend him and he would be my go to person for IRS disputes in the future! Thank you Mr Jackson!

Working with Kyle Clark has been a standout experience from start to finish…read more After a deeply frustrating experience with another financial advisor program, I was cautious about starting over, but working with Kyle has been a complete 180. From the start, Kyle was thorough and patient. He walked me through transferring all of my existing funds, helped me establish clear savings goals, and gave me concrete, actionable guidance I could actually act on. What impressed me most was his timing: all of this unfolded during a period of significant personal transition for me, and he handled every step with professionalism and calm. The results have spoken for themselves. My portfolio has reached record highs, and for the first time, I genuinely feel in control of my financial future. If you're looking for an advisor who is competent and steady under pressure, I can't recommend Kyle highly enough!

I've pretty much exhausted my ability to manage my retirement account now that it's entered…read more"Antihistamine money" territory (It's nothing to sneeze at) so I thought it would be a good idea to hire a fee-for-service fiduciary to look over my multiple accounts and give me some advice. Which ones do I combine? Am I investing too aggressively or not enough? What the heck is this fund? Nick Licouris did a fantastic job - we met twice, and he mapped out a detailed roadmap for me to get my financial house in order over the next few years, explaining everything in plain English anyone could understand. He confirmed I was headed in the right direction, but also pointed out a few things I was unaware of. He also correctly predicted how many hours it would take, so the cost was no surprise. I am very, VERY pleased with the results and I've recommended him to others and will probably hire him again, once I've executed the plan.
